As one of toy storys biggest fans i am gutted, last week i wasnt feeling going to the cinema as i was still ill so ive been planning on going this wednesday since. I just checked my local cineworld and its not playing anymore !

I thought this film was in the cinema for 2 weeks !  :cry:

Release date for the UK is 15th March 2010 according to Amazon, a week earlier than the US. Although annoyingly they're being released separately as "Combi packs", so some people will now be buying their third DVD of the films even if they just want the blu-ray.

Is it worth buying these blu-rays? The extra features look a bit underwhelming, more like a taster for Toy Story 3 than the full superduper collectors' editions they should be... I already own both films on DVD twice (the Toy Box and then the two later Special Editions, which have FAR more features)

I think I'm going to leave it even though I've been toying* with the idea of buying both of them on Monday. I reckon they'll be some mega-amazing release of all three films in a box-set on blu-ray ready for Christmas. I'm going to wait it out for now.

Shame they're "sold out"!

Wasn't sure before but apparently all the old DVD bonus features ARE included, same way as Monsters Inc.

There's a funny quote from Pete Docter about the Dumbo blu-ray in the latest Empire magazine, saying how his wife always moans "Don't we already have that on DVD?" and he says "But it doesn't look THIS good!".
