Gypsies move into DLRP!

Last week we saw a gypsy encampment on the roundabout opposite the Explorers, Dream Castle, Holiday Inn, Kyriad Hotels. Apparently police had been seen there and when we went past on thursday there were about 50 large black bin liners of rubbish on the side of the road, along with various other items of rubbish. We spoke to a couple on Friday on the ferry back to the UK and they said the gypsies were still there when they left on Friday morning.

Yeah they seem to be around dlrp a lot, remember once there was caravans lining the newport bay club carpark and the old village carpark.  They have been on their current spot since 1st April, since they were not there on the 31st March, but were on the 1st April.  But still it does not really affect my stay at all.

Yeah they were there last year on the kerbside going towards the shopping complex. Making loads of mess and leaving rubbish in their wake. Dont know how long they stayed that time.
