Sequoia Lodge restaurants

What are people's views on the 2 restaurants in the SQL? We've never stayed there before, and it would be nice to eat in at least one of them. What are the children's meals like in the Beaver Creek Tavern? The menus on DLPGuide haven't been updated in a while.

When we went last year only one restaurant was open and it was a fabulous buffet. We loved the jacket potatoes and sour cream, the roast meats, fab sausages and lovely salads. also the meringue topped tarte au citron!! Actually everything was excellent, nice and fresh, constantly topped up and delicious.

When we went in April last year, only the Hunter's Grill was open. I got the impression that they only open the Beaver Creek Tavern during high season when they expect it to be busy.

That's a shame - the menu looks pretty good

Much like Hotel New York's Manhattan Restaurant, they could be using it as an overflow for the buffet restaurant of the hotel, though I have no idea of the size of either of Sequoia's restaurant locations.
