Decided to make a thread to keep us dreaming and helping time going quicker by.
Who's going in DLP for the Christmas season? Where will you stay? Do we know all the closures? What will be the festive programm?
Christmas season is between 7.11.2015 and 07.01.2016. Santa will be in his chalet till 25.12.2015.
We travel on 29.11. and stay till 03.12.2015 - a lot of weekdays, so hope it will not be overcrowded. We will stay in Sequoia Lodge, Golden Forest room. It will be our first time at SL (previously we were in Santa Fe and Newport Bay). I think the hotel has the perfect Christmas athmosphere.
We haven't decided on the meal plan yet. It's possible that we don't pay for it this time, trying to be more flexible.
Made reservation with crossover offer from the French site - best price in the moment.
We were in DLP for Christmas 2010 and it was magical. We were lucky to see Fantillusion, to hear Chante, c'est Noel!
I hope we are surpised with something for this season, as these are no more to be experienced.
We still have a suprise to reveal, as my daughter still doesn't know. We'll see when and how. ;D Our visit is planned to be something special for me, as I am turning 40 in autumn, and our stay will be during my daughter's nameday (which we celebrate in our country almost like a birthday)
I hear about a lot of closures - BTM, Molly Brown, It's a small world, Railroad. I hope that some of these work when we are there. We love Frontierland and we'll miss the athmosphere.
Will be glad if many of you join here in this topic and we share till we wait. And who knows - we could meet there with some of you? ;)

Feel strange to think about Christmas and December on a sunny day like today, but you are right...a bit of dreaming helps to pass the time more quickly!
Am going to DLP from 7/12 to 11/12. Hope it will be quiet as not school holidays. Told my other half we are staying at Santa Fe but really we are booked into the Disneyland Hotel. Excited to see his face when we arrive!!
Our Eurostar was free because last time we went to Paris we were delayed for 5 hours and had a horrible journey so as part of the compensation we got a free return journey each - obviously I chose Disney! So I was able to spend a bit more on the hotel and treat us to the DLH.
Can't wait to try out Ratatouille and see Dreams! of Christmas. These are the most exciting things for me and of course all my usual favourites and plenty of shopping. We collect Vinylmation so I love to see what new releases the parks have each time we go. Will be very sad if BTM is closed as it's one of my favourites.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful time and it will come round before you know it!

It will be a great trip for you! Never been to DLH, must be impressive. And good deal with this compensation.
We could try Ratatouille last autumn, it is great! Try to use the single rider queue if you can, it spares much time and doesn't destroy the experience at all.
You should tell us about the suprise and how was it. We made the same last year. Was very funny! Daughter was told we are making Santa Fe again. When we landed at Newport Bay she almost collapsed, was sure we were at the wrong place, took the wrong shuttle bus ;D ;D ;D This year the hotel SL will be a suprise again, not to loose the training ;D
Are we going to be able to exprerience the new Jedi school?
I'll be around DLP at those times :) We should meet up.

We've just decided to go 9th Novemeber for 4 nights & I've already got my planning book out trying to figure out which extras we can afford to add. We can't decide if we want to stay in the Cheyenne or Santa Fe, but we will be putting our deposit down in the next couple of weeks.
We've never been at Christmas before and I know my little girl is going to really enjoy the magic

we too are visiting on the 7 th dec til 11th dec staying at HNY , I love Christmas at dlp for me its the best time of year to go , going by Eurostar from London there will be 8 off us going this year myself the wife my mum the kids aged 14, 8, 3, 1 and a newbee my best mate , I wonder what he will make of it at the grand old age of 48.

We are arriving 18th December through to 24th December staying at DLH. Travelling. me, Mrs, kids( 18,13 & 9) plus the in laws. The day we go it's the in-laws Golden wedding anniversary, that night we have booked for a nice meal in the hotel.

Have you though of your Christmas day meal yet? When we were there a few Christmases we ate at the New York Hotel. I think there are 2 different meals a buffet and a sit down. If you have kids a must although a bit pricey. You can see some photos on my Flickr page

28/12/15 until 2/1/16 so there for new years! staying in the Newport bay as we are 5 people and this trip is super exciting for a few reasons....
1. it will be my boyfriends first ever trip to disneyland
2. its my mums first trip to DLP after being poorly
3. its our first proper trip over the christmas season (we went once and saw the very first day of the christmas things)
So the dates mentioned for the Christmas season this year have been confirmed by DLP as the dates at the start of this conversation.
I'm thinking of going for the Christmas season as always wanted to go but was waiting for the season dates to be confirmed.

Grovesie - Is it just because you are actually staying at the DLH that you have been able to book a meal time so far in advance?
I think it's not fixed yet.
But I am sure we'll have to live with some painful closures - BTM, IASW, Molly Brown (for me especially it's a big love)
I am thinking of buying tickets for Buffalo Bill Wild West show. We never made it before. Looks great! It could be a suprise for my people. I am wondering which hour should I choose - 18.30 or 21.30. Maybe 21,30 will be too late. Does it last an hour and a half?

We went same time last year and loved the new year there, can't afford it this year due to summer holiday but def going next year.
We walked through the Newport at about 12:30am and the party was in full swing with live music.
Hello, we are going on 23-27 dec with our two children age 6 and 11. We can't wait! We have been to Disney twice before but this will be our first time at xmas! We have booked a xmas room at HNY and are waiting til they release details of the xmas meals so we can book the merry Xmas lunch at HNY and we will also book buffalo bills on Xmas eve! Anything else we shouldn't miss out on?.

In DLP it could never be miserable, even in the coldest cold! It's so beautiful decorated, music, parades, shops, attractions. It's magical. We'll stay in the same hotel, some days earlier. Are you buying a meal plan? We are still thinking what we want, have plenty of time.
Friends, yesterday I read on several facebook pages, dedicated to DLP, that after a 2 months break (from 13.09.2015) "Chantons La Reine des Neiges" at Chaparral Theater will return on 14 November for Christmas season. Have you heard of these new?
Ah Mileto that's great news if it goes ahead! I was quite miserable about missing out this year as we won't be visiting this Summer. So excited for Christmas, it is my favourite time of year to visit. Everything is even more magical than usual! Don't let the thought of bad weather put you off GemmaT, you will still have an amazing time. Last year the weather was fine although quite cold so just pack a couple of layers and you'll be grand :)
Thanks guys im so excited ! We went in March 2014, so it'l be our second time. We have gone premium half board so we can go to buffalo Bills and lunch with the princess, as last time we did neither as we didn't know it was included in the half board deal. It's all a learning experience the first time you go I supoose! I'm actually looking forward to the early dark nights with the crimbo lights up and wrapping up in our hats and scarfs. Love this site for tips , had loads of good tips for last year which made our experience even better as I knewrhe best places to go for parades etc

Was a bit worried about going DLP in winter as the weather might be a bit lousy and I thought that'd ruin the magic... but then everyone seems to say its totally magical in the Christmas season so I'm quite happy about it now. Still would love to see it in the sunshine, but the thought of watching a Christmassy parade in cuddly clothes with a hot chocolate seems perfect.

Due to my son being run over by a car (luckily only a broken broken leg) we have had to slide our holiday, so we're due to be going August 17 and had everything planned (booked meals etc) but decided to move it as currently li mm item.mobility and in wheelchair.
Now booked 19-23 December. Looking forward to it and kids were excited when.told them.last night that we've had to change it but due to santa wanting to see them their!
Just hoping it isn't as cold as when we went in March 2000!

We me and my mum are going from 7 Dec till 10 Dec and are staying at SL GF. I'm thinking of adding an extra day, but am not sure. Already updated my hotel from SF to SL GF. Have been a couple of times to Disney land paris. And I like the Christmas season the most. SL is great during Christmas season. Can't wait to sit next to the fireplace with a cocktail. ;D

That's what dates I am going and staying in SL thinking of upgrading too, after reading on here it's Defo worth it for the breakfast . I stayed at DLH last time found breakfast but mad but food was real good. I don't want to wish summer away but I'm so excited , thinking if ways to tell my DD that wer going !
We're going to disney 23rd-26th Dec. Can't decide which hotel yet, my 9 yr old want the cheyenne but I'd prefer the sequoia. Have booked our paris hotel for the 22nd.

I am planning to go there mid December, but it depends on which attractions will be closed....I know that BTM will be, but i do not know the dates.
Last year i made an early booking, prior of updating the closures schedule for December. I saw that BTM was going to be closed and i change my tickets, which cost me an additional 300 Euros to do so....
So this year my economic situation is a bit tight and i cannot afford losing again a few euros.....
This December 2015 BTM will be definitely closed all month.

Each attraction is a major one. The zone needs renovation for the 25th anniversary and for savety. Lake, boat will be also refurbished. It's not plesant but necessary.
Do they do any additional extra magic hours on xmas day?? Like do they open both parks since its xmas?.
We are going 28th to 31st of December. Christmas room in DNY. Does anyone know what time firework show would be on in December? I'm wondering if it will be earlier as its December and should be darker earlier!!
Do you mean Disney Dreams? It's on at park closing time, which over the Christmas period is usually around 10pm.
Hi guys, we go to HNY on 7th - 11th december and we are all very excited! Our older son (7 ) is going there for the third time, but the small one ( 3) is going first time and he is crazy happy! Does anyone know if there may be Baymax encounter in Disneyland over christmas time? He is such a loveable creature and my boys just love him to bits !

I've just booked our Christmas Holiday to DLP!!!! A cheeky getaway from all the stresses and strains of Christmas, just to be together as a family.
We're staying 6 nights from 21st December - at The Explorers Hotel, flying from Bournemouth.
We've booked off park as on a budget for his holiday - but we're very excited. Wondering if we'll be able to fit in a trip to Paris as it's also our 10th Wedding Anniversary - but we've been together for 24yrs!!!

Not any more - the official site says that Crushes coaster and Snow White will reopen on sat 14th November! Well chuffed as we are going from 15th-18th and my eldest is nemo mad! So looking forward to to our trip!,

We have booked to stay 28th December to 2nd January staying at the Sequoia Lodge Golden Forest Lake View Room. ;D
I was told when I booked at the weekend that Big Thunder Mountain, the whole of the Disneyland Railway and La Cabane des Robinson will be closed.
We're not telling our 2 children that we have booked and are going to reveal it to them after our stay in Arras the night before. I know my daugher is going to be upset about the Thunder Mountain closure though. :-X

We are going by Eurostar from ashford for the first time ever - we usually fly. I'm now panicking that we should've booked flights what with all the trouble with migrants at Calais . Am I likely to experience trouble over x,as week with Eurostar trains do you think??
The situation is changing day to day so it's hard to predict what way things will be next week, never mind the end of the year. My gut feeling is it will have settled down but either way there really is no sense getting yourself worried about it :)

We are also there 22nd - 26thNovember at DLH Our 4th Christams trip done DLH once before and SLGF twice. It'll be our last chance for this time of year as my DD starts high school next September. They think we are staying at Cheyenne so will be so excited when we pull up at the main hotel. Taking the 1st Eurotunnel through so should be at DLP for 11.30ish then another surprise of doing the Inventions Buffet which we've never done before. I think I might just burst as we arrive this year - I'm normally hugely over excited but feel even more so already this time.

First post and only went for the 2nd time to DLP in August this year. (first time for my family who are Florida proffessionals) 1st time for me was1994! and stayed at SL GF. We enjoyed it so much we have booked again for 26/11 - 29/11 to sample the Xmas atmosphere ;D. We have booked SL GF again as we really enjoyed the extra bits. Was tempted by the NYH but may try this next summer as the SL seems a bit more Xmasy with the wood interior and the fire.
Really looking forward to it and saved a fair bit booking through the French site.

Stifle, on the French official site there is a discount (Billet Malin) for the 21.30 show. It costs EUR 39 per person.

First time to Disney Paris for all of us - I went to Florida about 25 years ago - when I was 20!!!!
We will be at DLP for 3 nights from 23 - 26 December as part of a 6 week European Adventure. We (me, DH, kids aged 16, 14, 12) have been to WDW and Disneyland Anaheim in 2010 and Hong Kong Disneyland in 2012. So this is our first trip to DLP but our 4th Disney Park (only Tokyo to go after this, until Shanghai opens of course :P)
I've booked a 2 bed apartment at Residhome Val d'Europe but am still looking for other deals. Have not booked our park tickets yet and still need to book somewhere for Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day breakfast. My youngest son is a very fussy eater and I'm loathe to pay big bucks for hm to sit at an expensive meal and not eat and complain the whole time!. So doing lots of research, but as we are visiting 9 countries in 6 weeks, I've got a lot of planning to do, so haven't dedicated a lot of time to our time at DLP. It's definitely the most exciting part for me though, I've always wanted to spend Christmas at Disney :D
oh PS, we are from Australia which is why we're cramming so much into 6 weeks - this will be a once in a lifetime trip for us!

Thanks Ohana, it's very exciting! I bought our DLP tickets - 4 days for the price of 3 from the Disney Australian site. They were the same price as the French and Dutch sites but cheaper then the UK site, so worked out well. We've decided to stick with the Residhome as I can't find anything nearly as reasonably priced. It doesn't have the free shuttle but does have the train station outside. Also, it's only a 5 minute walk to Hotel Elysee Val d'Europe where the shuttle departs from so we can use it from there.
5 weeks to go for me :)
I'm getting the 6.25am flight from Newcastle (so might even make EMH) but I will needs to be at the airport by 4.00am... Sundays going to be a long day.

You have to queue and wait your turn in afraid. And it's a usually very long queue so get there as early as you can.

Just joined!! 13-16 December have booked our Eurostar but not hotel as of yet. Going to be Cheyenne/sequoia lodge as of to DLH feb and this was a last minute decision 😊

Yes madness! This will be our 4th trip in one year but I can't stay away! My son gets so much out of going and it's lovely at Christmas time think we will do sequoia as its a little closer and is so cosy and as you say best Christmas spirit!

Cafe Mickey breakfast is always just two days before, unless you add it onto your package, then I think you can book it sooner.

Try not to worry yourself too much when you get to DLP pickup the parks guides they are in both parks if you have any queries for timings ect ask in studio services or city hall they will help you.
The parks will be very busy during your stay so ensure you arrive for shows/parades extra early. You will find lots of tips on here so browse through!
I would Pre-book reastaurants especially any character dining now if you have not done so or very soon. I've done this many times you can find the number on google by searching DLP restaurant reservations and call them. There is a dining section on this forum that may help you decide.
I don't know where you can find parks schedules online or even if you can this time in advance as the park schedule changes regulary (when we were there 7-11 oct it changed on the 9th)
Don't stress to much I'm sure you can find lots of useful information here I'm still learning new things and I have visted over 30 times so it's the best place for hints/tips believe me. Have a wonderful time.

well we have just booked to go from 23 December to 27 December staying off site a we have annual passes and well it was a last minute decision. Yes it's because you included it when you booked your holiday. It canbe booked then. But if not included in your package it's 2 days.

Havent booked yet as im so indecisive lol but just wondering if the cold would spoil the enjoyment there at Christmas? Has anyone been then and have you any tips how to keep warm? Im thinking regular trips back to the hotel and maybe thermals, wellies etc. Just hoping that the rain holds off as even in August we was a little miserable when soggy.
its a lovely cold ....more reason to have a hot chocolate... just were layers and thermals and you will be fine saying that we were there in early jan and it was mild and wet so you can not predict the weather. I am hoping that it will be not to cold as that way no delays in getting there

I don't feel the cold much and hate big coats, so I've bought a fluffy fleece to wear over a tshirt and walking boots for my feet. Obviously with mittens to keep my digits warm. I'm just hoping it stays dry, not that rain would ruin my trip.
We go to BBWWS on Monday 30th, as we thought it would be nice for our first day.
I'm almost too excited now. All of the photos I keep seeing on Facebook make me giddy lol
We have got an all in one for our six year old to wear. My other child has some base layers to wear and we are just doing hats and gloves etc, we've been in Feb before and it was bitterly cold and very icy and we didn't take anything more special than hats and gloves for that.
