Hi all just wondered if you all wanted to share your trip dates and hotels you stayed in and what time of year did you enjoy the most?

we love going in march as it is quieter but the christmas season was great we are hoping to go late this year and then march next year :D :D
how about you ? :P
I've been 8 times at this moment.
Out of the times I have been, the least busiest times were November & December. Although at that time of year it's very cold!
I have stayed in four different on-site hotels. My favourite ones are the Disneyland Hotel and the Hotel New York. Out of the two I prefer the Hotel New York because of it's location, and it's cheaper :P
I'm hoping to go this year in June. I've heard it's not busy and very hot at that time
I have a very random list, as follows:
11th February - 12th February 2000, Seqioua Lodge
August 2000, Offsite-Formula 1
February 2001, Cheyenne
August 2001, Some weird hotel like Ibis or something
23rd - 25th July 2003, Sequioa
28th - 31st October 2004, Offsite-Kyriad
9th-12th August 2005, Hotel New York
10th December 2005, Nowhere
7th-9th April 2006, Santa Fe
29th-30th June 2006, Santa Fe
26th-29th October 2006, Holiday Inn
29th October-2nd November 2006, Cheyenne
30th December-1st January 2006/2007, Citea Bussy St George
Future trips:
30th March-2nd April 2007, Hotel undecided
17th-23rd July 2007, Vienna International Dream Castle
I have been so many different times of year, it's hard to choose. Though, I have to say Halloween is probably my favourite time of year, plus dressing up is fun  . Christmas and New Year are great times to go, but due to the popularity of this season, I find it overwhelming how anyone can even walk in the park and take in the atmosphere most the time.
Favourite hotel cannot fully be decided, I really love Santa Fe, simply for it's little areas you can go to escape people and the whole concept is just so funny. Hotel New York also is a really big favourite of mine, though due to it's layout I don't find it near as fun to walk around than the Santa Fe, Cheyenne and Sequioa.
I cant remember when i went but i steyed at davy crocketts every time for 5 visits :)
I started going to DLP in 1993. And from that I went there every year.

Wow you are all so lucky having been so many times!!
Well my first was 28th - 31st Dec 06 and we stayed at DCR
my next is 22nd March for 3 nights, staying at Sequoia Lodge Not long to go now!!!
the one after that will be late this year.
I have the disney bug!!!!
I always say I want to try all the hotels but end up going back to Sequoia Lodge everytime because it's so lovely. I have a ridiculous amount off unopened Mickey soaps, shampoos and body wash things at home. We looked at the Disneyland Hotel in June but the travel agent said all they had left was the Suites and the total cost for a 4 day break would have been somewhere in the region of £2,500 which is insane.
Hi all.
Our first ever trip was just before Christmas. We went on 15th December and returned on the 18th December, really not long enough.
We stayed at the Sante Fe and it was great, didn't think much to the food at night though, we only ate there one night. The room was nice though, but it was freezing and we couldn't work out the radiator until the following day, lol, so our beds were like freezers the first night.
We're going again in July and staying at Sequoia, and for an extra night.
heres my list:
1996: 4 days - Newport bay
1997 3 days - Sequoia Lodge
1998 5 days - Disneyland Hotel
1999 4 days - Disneyland Hotel
2000 5 days - Disneyland Hotel - Toon Circus or maybe year later

2003 4 days - Disneyland Hotel
2004 3 days - Newport Bay - Kids Carnival
2005 2 days - Newport Bay
2006 - Christmas - 5 days - Sequoia Lodge

September 1996 - Cheyenne
August 1997 - Santa Fe
May 2002 - Santa Fe
Nov 2002 - Disneyland Hotel
Nov 2003 - Cheyenne
When we went in Nov 2002 we were originally booked in the Newport. I got home from work one day, just a few days before we were due to go, and my sister said she had some news about the hotel. The Newport was overbooked so we'd been upgraded. Can you believe that for a split second I was actually disappointed because I'd so been looking forward to staying in the Newport? That didn't last long
July 2007 - Sequoia Lodge
First Time 2000 out of park
2001 Cheyenne
2006 Cheyenne
And in 1 week we come to Disney's Hotel Cheyenne
HEllOOOOO!!!
Its like going down memory Lane
Hotel New York - 2003
Disneyland Hotel - 2004
Hotel New York - 2005
Hotel New York 2006
Soon to be Hotel New York 2007 - June 4th - 8th - woohoo !
First ever trip was August 1994.
Stayed outside the resort at the Hotel Relais Bleu, near a town called Ponteau Compeau. Might have the spelling wrong there. :)
Only had 1 day initially in the park (a Saturday) but the coach driver messed up a trip to Paris the next day (it's a long story), and I ended up going back to Disneyland instead and doing alot of the attractions I'd missed on my first day.
Second trip was March 2006. Stayed at the Sequoia Lodge for 4 nights. Flew to Charles de Gaulle airport and took the shuttlebus to Disney. Enjoyed it so much, I immediately started planning a return visit, and was thinking along the lines of making it an annual trip.
Third trip was March 2007. Stayed at the Sequoia Lodge again, but for 5 nights this time. Drove myself, and took the ferry from Dover, and it was a much easier and more relaxing trip than the flight. I really preferred being more in control of my own schedule.
These last two Disneyland trips have made me such a huge fan of Disney, and the plan to have at least an annual trip to Disneyland seems to be becoming a reality. Can't wait to get back.
Quote from: "Martha86"I always say I want to try all the hotels but end up going back to Sequoia Lodge everytime because it's so lovely. I have a ridiculous amount off unopened Mickey soaps, shampoos and body wash things at home.
I know just what you mean. I love this hotel. The theming is fantastic, and the surrounding area is lovely. I always go down to the pool first thing in the morning - 7am when it opens - and it's a lovely walk from the main building to start the day, and the pool is usually virtually empty for that first half hour.
I brought stacks of soaps and shower gels back on both trips. I always open up 1 on the first day, and they usually last me for the best part of the week - depending how long I'm stopping, and just put all the new one's away in my case everyday when I get back at night.

(in 1994 it was pretty empty that really worried me!!) :)

Personally, I much prefer the look of the New Port Bay Club over that of Sequoia Lodge... Of course, nothing can compare to the Disneyland Hotel. As a 10-year old back then, it seemed enormous. I would *love* to stay in the Disneyland Hotel Castle Club once... However, it seems the budget won't allow for anything more than Santa Fe.

Hi we have been going to DLP since September 2003 for the 1st 4 times (twice a year), we stayed at the Santa Fe. Since since 2006 we have been going twice a year and staying at the Newport Bay Club. The view from the lake side is amazing, the hotel it's self is fantastic, including the staff who can not be more friendly and welcoming.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone goingto DLP, and it is a short walk away from the parks.
August 1995 - Hotel New York (4 nights)
July 2002 - Hotel Cheyenne (7 nights)
April 2003 - Newport Bay Club (4 nights)
October 2006 - Hotel Cheyenne (5 nights)
December 2007 - Hotel New York (booked, 4 nights)
March/April 2008 - Sequoia Lodge (booked, 4 nights)
Trying to fit in some more trips in '08, if the budget will stretch!
March 1996 - Hotel Cheyenne
June 1999 - Hotel Cheyenne
September 2007 - Hotel Cheyenne.
It's well themed and affordable so a good choice

So October 2007 - we've decided to go for Cheyenne, then we can save some money to spend on a birthday tea, Buffalo Bill, breakfast, and one of those Cinderella slipper ice creams! .... :D
And we will miss the High School Musical show. Another up side!
I'm deffo going to see you there..... I'm in Cheyenne too lol!

I absolutely love the parks and would definately recommend to anyone thinking of going to stay in a Disney hotel, they are fab. :minnie:
pjulie I presume you thought the extra money for Sequoia over Cheyenne was worth it as you've booked there again next year?
Hi, yes I think it is worth it. There is no scrum for breakfast and you don't need to find a clean table, you get seated at a nice table suitable for your family. When we checked into the room there was a soft toy Eeyore keyring for each of my kids on the bed and the first evening when we returned to the room, some chocolate coins had been left on the bed - really nice welcoming touch. A nice gift from Mickey. Mini bar in room, we also used this to put our own Cokes and chocolate bars in. The bar area is really comfortable, but a bit pricey. There is an area set-up for a Character Photograph, really nice. There also is a larger area for the kids to play inside, with some building bricks, colouring in and a few nice there was a Castmember painting faces and playing games. Swimming pool too. I do really like Cheyenne too, but for a little bit more money, I feel it is well worth it. Next Easter I paid £200 extra to stay at Sequoia. Any questions, I would be glad to answer.
Hi pjulie, so glad to hear you enjoyed the Sequoia Lodge.
We have stayed in the Santa Fe, Cheyenne, and for the past 2 years Newport Bay Admirals floor, lake view. We always fancied the Sequoia Lodge so in 10 days time (10 December) we will be arriving there for a 5 night stay in a Montana room.
There are six of us going, ranging from my youngest who is 9 to my mother and father in law (late sixties) in two rooms, and like the sound of the breakfast being more calmer/relaxed than the cheyenne.
I have a quick question, Is there a kettle in the room, or can you hire one from reception. This year we are travelling by eurostar and not the car, so are having to watch what we carry. (leaves us more space for buying Disney items) :D :D
this is quite some digging in my memory... I don't have all the years and date's but we went to the following hotels
Santa Fe (2x)
Sequoia Lodge (2x)
Newport Bay (1x)
Holiday Inn Circus (1x and going again next year in March)
Kyriad hotel (2x) (including last year)
We now prefer the disney selected hotels as they seem in better shape than the disney hotels and the staff is very friendly there. The price is also cheaper and the breakfast (in my opinion) is just as good (Kyriad) or better (Holiday Inn).
We didn't hire a kettle but I am sure you can at reception. We hired an ironing board at there
The hotel is really good for all age ranges and your family will adore it. It is really relaxed at breakfast and there are a few couches around the lobby area which are nice to just sit and relax. The pool is lovely too. It is FAB :minnie:
We've been 14 times since 1997 hard to remember the dates. Stayed in Santa Fe the first few times then in Neport Bay once and the last five or six times in Seqoiua lodge
1992 May: Santa fe Loved it all shny and new!
1995 September: Kissimme Florida 2 weeks WDW!
1996 December: Santa fe, Hunchback christmas! Giant bells everywhere!
2000 September: Santa fe, I had just come home from New york and had some money left over if that is even possible, so I booked another holiday straight away, I think I had been home for 4 days before i was off again! This was also the first time I got to use my 35% Castmember discount!
2005 November: Santa fe, not much fun this time round, I had fractured my back in a motorcycle accident so couldn't go on any rides due to a back brace :(
2006 October: Santa fe, Halloween! first time I got my husband to come with me and he loved it! Still no rides this time round, back was better, but I was about 7months pregnant
2007 December: Seqoia lodge :( not happy with the hotel at all. stuck on the basement floor of the south wing facing into the hotel, miles away from the pool! and it took two hours after check in to get a cot for my little one. Also the pool was cold!
Even after all this I can't wait to go back in september 2008 and am planning a trip to WDW in 2009!

I have been to dlrp 4 times with a 5th booked for October 6th. We have always gone for 3 nights although we would love to go for longer. We have always found in 3 nights and 4 days long enough and can get round almost everything we want to do.
Dec 2004 - When booking we didnt know which hotel to choose. We eventually decided and booked the Sequia lodge mainly because of the price. A few weeks before we went we were upgraded to the newport bay at no extra cost. We were delighted. As I am christmas mad aswell as Disney mad we had to make our first trip to disney in the Christmas season. It was brilliant and so magical. My first memories were arriving at the Newport bay with all the Christmas decorations and pluto in the lobby who my son absolutely loves and thats all he wanted to do meet pluto so that made our holiday right away. The second memory was Cafe Mickeys. We went hear for lunch when we arrived not knowing what to expect. What a treat and a great start to our disney holiday. After cafe Mickey we headed down to the park, our breaths were taken away all seven of us stood in amazement of the arches lit up all the way down the main street with christmas decorations everywhere and snow falling on us. It just got better and better.
Dec 2005 - Decided to book the New York hotel. Were very pleased with it when we arrived. Excellent holiday highlight was my son dressed up as peter pan on the last night in cafe mickey, Mr Smee came and took him by the hand to find captain hook. My 3yrs old son and captain hook stood in the middle of cafe mickey having a sword fight  This made my sons holiday it was fantastic. Just as good as the first time.
Dec 2006 - Decided to book the New York this time upgrade to a lake view room. A few weeks before we went I recieved a phone call offering us an upgrade to the Disneyland Hotel. We were exstactic. We would never of paid the price to stay there our selfs so it was a real treat. We could not wait to get there. The hotel was lovely but compared to the others we had stayed in I could not justify paying the difference in price for what you got. The only bonus I found was that you had no walking to do to get to the park but I enjoy the walk back to the hotels through the disney village anyway. It was handy for us this year as our youngest was 5 months old and we could pop back at anytime to feed him extra so we really appreciated the upgrade.
Dec 2007 - Booked to go to Newport bay again loved this hotel first time around so thought we would upgrade to admirals floor. We were given a room with a balcony that was lovely. The only thing that spolit this hotel was the breakfasts to overcrowded and hectic and the lift with having a 1yr old and a pushchair it was a nightmare.
Oct 2008 - Decided to go for hollween this year for a change and my son has wanted to go for halloween for the past couple of years. My relatives have just came back and stayed in the sequia lodge. They have stayed in the same hotels as we have and they said it was the best by far. We will wait and see but really looking forward to the cosy atmosphere it is supposed to have.

July 2008 3 nights at the Disneyland Hotel.
Although we usually go at the end of July, some of the above may be 1st week in August.
We broke with tradition this year and stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and it was worth every penny not to have to fight for a place on the shuttle and to go for breakfast when you felt like it and not hurry to get there for a set time.
The food's pretty good there as well. Just to walk out of the doors and into the park was quite a thrill and no rushing to beat the crowds. We just waited in the stores until everyone had gone :D
Some serious saving to do for next year.
Oh, a word of warning. Don't touch anything in the mini bars. They are run by computer and, if you lift it out, you pay for it (even if you put it back) - we met a couple who did just that!
My first trip was in 2002 with my school at the time. We went by coach which takes 12 hours from where I live, and stayed 16-18th Jan in the Cheyenne. Great trip but freezing!
Then I went with my partner in 2004 for his 18th birthday by coach 25th-27th Nov. We stayed in the Santa Fe. It was his first time there and he loved it (I don't think we'd be together today if he didn't!) The Christmas season at Disney had just started and it was a great way to get us in the holiday mood.
Then we went again in 2005. We went 6-8th July and stayed in the Santa Fe again, but this time we went by Eurostar and have always gone by Eurostar since, best way to travel personally. This was memorable as we found out from an American lady on the shuttle bus back to the hotel that London had been bombed. We rushed off the bus and spent most of that evening watching BBC news in our room in total disbelief.
Then we went in 2007 for the launch of the 15th celebration. We went from the 28th March to the 2nd April. We stayed in the Cheyenne. It was amazing to be there as everyone was so excited and everything for the celebration was brand new.
It was so good that we decided to go again in Sept of 2007, 16-19th. We were planning to stay in the Sequoia Lodge but the travel agent quoted us twice the price than in the brochure. Unfortunately we had to go with that certain travel agent as my partner had won gift vouchers from work. So we stayed in the Cheyenne again.
Our next trip is in October, 30th- 4th November. We're there for Halloween, we've also booked the party in the evening and we're there for the first night of the bonfire celebrations, we're staying in the New York. We've gone all out on this trip as it's our last in while, got a lot to save up for :(
I haven't been as lucky as my sister on her trips. She booked the Santa Fe for her family and got a free upgrade to the Cheyenne. They then contacted her two weeks before she went saying they had double booked and gave her another free upgrade to the Newport Bay, some people just get all the luck!

Hi all
(my first post)
I have been every year since it opened in 1992. sometimes twice a year. Every year i have stayed in the Davy Crockett ranch!
I know some people's views on the ranch are mixed but i have to say i love it! the resturant and swimming pool are lovely! and when its winter and frosty is looks beautiful!
My fav time of year to go is December, all wrapped up warm, the fake snow and christmas decs just get me 100% in the Christmas mood and with that warm Disney feeling!
i am so excited about this years winter prices being released as for the first time since its opened i am booking to go for New Years Eve. Has anyone been for New Yar? do they do anything a little differently on the night??

Personally I really like the Sequoia, if you can go for a Montana room to be in the main building, but in any case you should have a great time!

How could anyone get bored of it  I don't go anywhere near as much as you and I still get that question all the time... And I have your same answer: never will!! :D
I have been 8 times. I started going in 2001.
I can't remember the months but between 2001-2009 I have stayed at-
1. Newport Bay Club - 2001
2. Disneyland Hotel - 2002
3. Disneyland Hotel - 2003
4. New York Hotel - 2004
5. New York Hotel -2005
6. Sequoia Lodge - 2007
7. Disneyland Hotel - 2008
8. New York Hotel - 2009
Hope to go this year again around Halloween or Christmas [-o<
Quote from: "Walts heir"true i have heard people tell me that before and everyone asks me how can i not get bored but i never will
Lol - I used to know what you mean. But after 54 visits (ranging from 3 - 14 days), combined with things like MMP and other not so great management decisions, although we have fun, I do not feel the pull as much anymore.
I sometimes wonder if I had been more like the average posters on this thread, and not experienced the glory days, if I would be happier? DLP was in definate decline from about 1999 to 2007, then the 15th really improved things. After the last trip, though we had fun, it seems like it is a roller coaster - some things better (cast and maintenance), some things much worse (staggered opening and closing).
I still have time on our APs and we have some time off in August, but I do not feel the pull any longer to go. If I could aford it, I would return to Disneyland in California (300+ visits), TDL or even WDW (I want to see the newly refurbed Hall of Presidents) has more appeal. But sadly we do not have enough time off or money.
However, on the boredom factor, it amazes me that people ask this, given that some think nothing about playing the same golf course over and over, or watching a boring insignificant bunch of overpaid men run around chasing a ball. Lol.
Heck, there are some people that go to the same seaside hotel or Spanish resort year after year.
I didn't experience the "glory" days. My first visit was in 2001. But I do want to see DLP restore that quality it once had! The biggest problem, for me, is the overuse of toons. Toy Story Playland doesn't interest me one bit. Neither does Mickey's Magical Party. Top of my wishlist at the moment is for DLP to start introducing unique non-toon-based attractions again.
We must praise DLP when they do good though. Maintenance has improved a hell of a lot this year. I'm especially pleased about my Rock 'n' Roller Coaster being refurbed in September! There also seems to be live music more frequently now. It would be nice, when at DLP (I'm talking to everyone here), to drop in to City Hall and mention how much the park has improved maintenance-wise. It can't do any harm. If not, send an email via the official website. It will only encourage them to keep up the good work!

It is simply jealousy! We are able to have fun at Disneyland while they sit at home doing nothing or aimlessly walk round their local town centre.
It is true recently I hav not felt the same way as I used too when I was younger maybe it's just growing up but I still love it
but I have to say it will never get boring
During mY last visit I overheard some cm talking about how they have 60 percent less visitors then last year and they were scared that th park might close but I don think that will happen
one of the things that makes dlrp worse and worse is guest behaviour last time I was there I saw this lady swearing very roudly at Mickey because he was in a hurry and couldn't stop for more than a minute or two to sign authograph for her kids
I felt like grabing the first thing I could and hitting her across the head with it

Last week in september is very good time to go.
We went at that time last year and is a great time as the weather is till warm but not hot.
I have researched the prices and along with march is the cheapest time of year but would avoid this as they start the new year in april so they are winding down all the old shows and parades. Also september was completly dead. we were often alowed to stay on rides and dont think we waited for more 20min at the longest.
We stayed in the newport bay which was fine but is massave so we are trying the disneyland hotel this year.
hm... past trips and where i stayed...
i think my first trip was bak in 2001 (year i turned 11 the only time my mum got a child price for me... i think)
i dont really remember when it was i think it was in March, was a coach trip and we stayed in the Sequoia Lodge, cant remember how long for either, i think it was just one night...
2nd trip was spent staying somewhere outside the resort,
then its a bad blur, i cant remember dates or years of when we went but i have stayed in the Sequoia Lodge a further three times for 4 nights a time, i have also stayed in the New Port Bay Club 2 times again for 4 nights, but we started pretty early on travelling the day before our holiday started so we wouldnt loose any time in the parks, so i have also experienced the dream castle hotel and the explorers hotel each for 1 night,
My next trip is in Janurary and im heading for my first stay in the Disneyland Hotel... =]

We're staying in the Cheyenne for the first time in September and would love to hear about your experience of the hotel.
9 times I've been I didn't actually stop in a hotel. They were just day trips on a coach. The other three times I stopped in the Cheyenne Hotel. Think it's a pretty nice hotel in my opinion. I mean if all you are doing is sleeping in there and spending your whole time in the parks, I think you don't need all the fancy facilities the others have. Thats how I see it anyway! I'm going for the park when I'm there, not the gyms and the swimming pools! Its got a fun games arcade, shop and bar tho which I enjoyed! :)
got a new one for my list....
janurary/feburary 2011 stayed in the disneyland hotel

2011 NPBC (two weeks to gooo :D)
My last trip was in November, 2009. We then stayed in Cheyenne. I liked it, I thought it was good enough. The theming is great, most of the staff was nice and I slept very well. My boyfriend didn't like it that much.
The rooms were a bit old, especially the bathroom. But I understand the rooms are being refurbished at the moment. And I didn't like the breakfast that much. It was enough, but nothing special.
During the same trip we stayed 1 night in Hotel Kyriad. Just for 1 night is fine, nothing special but a good hotel for that kind of money. It lacked in Disney Atmosphere. We preferred the stay in a Disney hotel because of that.
Next trip will be in September this year and we will be staying in Hotel New York.
My last trip was september 2010 stayed in Newport Bay Club , must say even as an 18 year olds my boyfriend and I found our stay magical , especially him as it was his first visit , and was so sad when we left :P , the hotel was lovely we were though a little disappointed with our room as it was in some disrepair and they shoved us in the room with the furthest walk possible on the ground floor . However the Hotel itself was brilliantly themed and as soon as we walked in it felt like disneyland :)
Ive also visit disney at christmas when i was like 11 , we stayed in santa fe and from what i can remember breakfast and buffet were great and room was basic but nice :) , the general hotel theming was really good though and the esso garage was handy for snacks but not especially cheap.
We'll be visiting twice this year - September 12-15th Hotel new york :D not long now !
and December 13-16th sequoia Lodge

The first time in Newport Bay was the nicest as we had a room that looked out over the lake. It was a nice change staying in other hotels than the same one all the time. I want to go back!!1
Well, let's see, if I can remember all the dates...

Hi
August 1992 - coach trip stayed off site went with my husband, my parents and 2 little sisters!
Loved every minute even through it was very hot! Very long days! Also during the night parade on the first night there was a thunder storm at first we thought it was Disney magic as the lightening was in time with the music and fireworks :D then it started to rain so heavily that you couldn't tell who you were stood next too, :? The next night there were less people in the parade - still drying out some of the costumes
October 2009 - SL - 5 nights with husband and our 14 year old daughter :D
June 2012 - SL - 7 nights and were extremely excited!! :D
Dream = the Pink hotel aka DLH for Christmas at the start of November for my daughter's 18th! (Must play the lottery more often) :D
February 11'- don't know the name of the hotel, but it wasn't nice.
November 2011, Santa Fe.

Look forward to your trip report! Is breakfast the mad scum I've heard about at the Santa Fe??? We're staying there June 2012.
1995 my very first time with my Mum brother and Sister when i was 15! We drove there. We stayed in the Sequoia Lodge End of Nov.
This is when i fell in Love with DLP! The Christmas season, loved all the decs. I remember we rode BTM countless times! The atmosphere was great in the Hotel, Loved the log fires, and hot drinks.
1996 2nd time, Newport Bay Hotel, End of Nov, Again christmas season with same people! Loved it just as much, I actually prefered the SL to the NPB hotel. I thought it had cosier surroundings. our room was just nr reception was good location. Again my brother drove.
1997 yeah you guessed it Christmas season...Back to the SL, not so near reception this time. Me and my brother rode BTM for the first time! we both was so scared! Think my brother screamed more than me....He is a big manly guy to  I remember the first drop thinking it was never ending :o ...again drove there. that was our last for a few years.
2003 a day trip by coach, (never again) Was with ex's family. Travelled New years eve for hours, stayed in a Hotel outside the resort....Spent New years eve in the park for the Bell's. Was PACKED, which i knew it would be. was arm to arm all the way. Was great atmosphere. But when everyone started leaving was a nightmare, people barging past! losing each other. Then travelled back all day new years day :|
2004 Disneyworld Florida, A whole new experience,I cant remember the hotel! I remember it being about a 5 min a drive away. I do love both parks, but DLP that little bit more. DWF was HUGE! Prob never seen it all, But was a great Holiday, We went NEw York first for New years eve.
2008, March DLP for 5 nights, just me and my friend, Stayed in the Sequoia Lodge was different being there with a friend, She wasnt as disneyfied as me. she wasnt into the parades or shows. Just the rides, and drinking coffee :| went by Eurostar so much better and quicker than driving!! plus we had premium seats on way there, had a nice breakfast!
March 2009 Again me and same friend as 2008, Travelled via Eurostar again, we stayed in the Santa fe this time. I thought the Hotel was good, breakfast just the same as other hotels, except you had to find your own table at the santa fe, you wasnt shown to one. My friend didnt want breakfasts so i went on my own....was worried when i left the table for food someone would take it, but it was ok :D was Busy but managable. Didnt find it took that long to walk to villiage and Parks, was quite a nice walk. we walked it each day.
Thats it until we go March 26th 2012, staying at the Cheyenne! Will have my little man this time :D
January 2012, 3 nights at Hotel Cheyenne.
My first trip ever to Disneyland Paris!
I loved every minute of it. I´m already dying to go back there. :D
Summer 1994 - Hotel Cheyenne - coach - Me, my sister, mum and dad
First trip ever. I don't remember much of it, but I remember I was too scared to ride It's a Small World, as I had an idea that it featured big dinosaurs!
Summer 1996 - Hotel Santa Fe - coach - Me, my sister, mum and dad
I remember much more from this trip. I really started to pay attention to the fantastic entertainment, streetmosphere and general atmosphere that filled every inch of DLP back then. I've also been told that I went completely crazy when my parents took me (and my sister) to Paris for an afternoon! I did not want to!!
Summer 1998 - Hotel Sequoia Lodge - coach - Me, my sister, mum and dad
A very fond memory. I remember that I got a jungle explorers hat (not Indy, no character), that I had wanted already in 1996, so I could really explore Adventure Isle. I also remember that only my dad and my sister went to Paris this year - they had learned from '96 ;)
Easter 2001 - Hotel Santa Fe - coach - Me and my mum
Perhaps my fondest memory of all! Me and my mum visited my sister as she was working at DLP this time. Being 11 it was very hard to live without my sister at home, so it was fantastic to visit her and spend some time with her in the heart of the magic.
Summer 2001 - Hotel Disneyland - coach - Me, my sister, mum and dad
My sister was back home as she had had some unfortunate experiences during the 1.5 month she worked at DLP - bad managers, thrown around between jobs and 6-7 different roommates. My parents wanted to show her - once again - the side of Disneyland that she loved, so we stayed at Hotel Disneyland. Amazing experience and a great trip as my sister too got to hook up again with some of the friends she had got during the time there.
Summer 2003 - Hotel Santa Fe - coach - Me, mum and dad
First family trip without my sister. First experience with the studios. Last autograph trip of mine. I started to pay much more attention to what is Disneyland for me now and what was Disneyland for me in 96. The atmosphere.
Summer 2006 - Hotel Newport Bay Club - coach - Me, mum and dad
Officially our last family trip to Disneyland and a great one of course. First time I brought a long a big camera and I remember taking loads of photos. First experience with Newport Bay Club too!
October 2008 - Hotel Newport Bay Club - coach - Me, my sister and my mum
I had finished school and found a full time job and had promised to invite my mum and sister to Halloween in Disneyland if so. First season experience and some great time with my mum and sister, who revisited Newport Bay where she had worked briefly in 2001.
October 2009 - Hotel Sequoia Lodge - coach - Me and my mum
We had to visit for another Halloween season, but my sister couldn't get time off work. A lovely time revisiting our most beloved favorites and memories of 15 years of trips.
Summer 2010 - Hotel Santa Fe - coach - Me and my friend Kristian
First trip "on my own" - with my friend Kristian. It was the first visit where I really tried Thrill Rides with my first on: TOT, Space Mountain, Star Tours and Crush' Coaster. Great, great fun including an afternoon in Paris.
December/January 2010/2011 - Hotel Santa Fe - train - Me, mum and dad
My christmas present for my parents - a new years trip. First ever Christmas in Disneyland and first ever New Years Eve away from home. Quite simply: pure magic!

Summer 2012 - Hotel Santa Fe - coach - Me and Kristian
Third consecutive summer trip with Kristian. Looking forward to celebrating 20 years of magic (18 for me).
Hi!!!
I remember this being my first trip without my parents and I loved it, not so much the coach ride which seemed to take forever! I was more into Disneymania than any of my friends who thought it was a trip to meet boys ( we were an all girls school lol) we went in mid november i think because i remember that the christmas celebrations were happening, and that was the time they were doing something to the castle so it was all covered up in scaffolding, which was a huge dissappointment!
September 2009- Santa FePersuaded my partner ( who has no interest in disney) to take us and our then two and half year old daughter to disney and I loved it! The fact that i got to see the castle without scaffolding was breathtaking as it signifies that you are in the world of disney! seeing my daughters face watching the parades and meeting the characters ( not even scared about them bless her) was a tear jerker for me and a memorable trip indeed!
Jan 2011- Santa Femy partner was more willing to go this time as we had a real bargin in the price and he knew what to expect, so we done a lot more, went to see the buffalo bill show, which was average on the food side, but a great way to wind down the evening, and we took every opportunity to use our half boards for character meals i think we had three meals at the lucky nugget saloon and two at cafe mickey which was wonderful for my daughter who was even more taken in by it all, only bad side was that it was -6 on our first day and stayed like that until we left, lucky i was prepared. and the hotel had a refurb which was better than the previous stay although i know people have complained about it in the past but i think that considering you are on site and at the cheapest hotel you cant expect too much, but i liked it considering all we done was go straight to bed as soon as we got back into the rooms!
March 2012- Sequoia Lodge!
counting down the days and i cannot wait, my daughter definately has caught the disney bug from me and I have decided that I know the parks well enough to venture on my own with her, and looking forward to being in a different hotel! We popped into the sequoia lodge on our last trip when our daughter was having a toilet moment issue and said to myself that if i was going to come back again anytime soon i would stay in this hotel, so cannot wait to see what it has to offer, my daughter remembers sooo much from her last visit and has already told me where she wants to go so it will be great fun, only down side is that i wont be able to go on the tower of terror as my daughter is too young and would be scared, so have to give that a miss, have told all my family that this would be my last trip to dlp until she is old enough to go to florida, but i have already been looking at going for a few days during the christmas season
Hi everyone.
I stayed in Sequoia Lodge in the end of August 2005. That was the last time I was in Disneyland. We are returning this year in June 2012 and guess where we are staying Sequoia Lodge. This hotel is beautiful as its cosy in winter and beautiful camp site in the summer. The rooms have been done up this year and they are fabulous and cant wait to go this summer. When I stayed in the lodges the last time I loved the walk up to the hotel for breakfast early in the morning. Thats when you recognise you are in sunny and warm Disney, Paris, France

Reading about your neice seeing the Castle made ME well up. How bad is that?? lol. I know that amazing feeling, it doesnt go away just becoz we are 'grown up'. Thing about arriving on Main Street is, it makes me soooo happy. And that was Walt's plan wasnt it, awesome. :D/ In fact I used to say Disneyland Paris was my second home, as I feel so comfy there. Some ppl looked at me like I was crackers, but I meant it. :P

I am very interested in why you'd never go there again? I only ask as we are planning a trip for next June and i've wanted to stay at NPB, but we spent a few hours in the DH last month (for breakfast and then later, cocktails ;D ) and we fell in love! So, it'd be great to hear your experiences.

Upcoming September 2014 HTY!! :)
As you can see I've stayed in all the on-site hotels, but I have to admit the DLH is by far the nicest. The location is brilliant.
Although all the other hotels are fine and we've enjoyed each stay I must say! Our last visit from 16-20 march in Cheyenne was fine. But I will add that the Cheyenne is in desperate need of a refurb. The card key slot was almost hanging of the wall wich made it difficult to get card in properly, handles broken of drawer unit, sink was blocked.
So I am glad we booked HNY for sept yay! I prefer march to sept, for 2 reasons one it's cheaper! And two it's quiter :) allthough I'm toying with booking a dec trip up.... Decisions decisions!
Visited for the first time in July 2004, whilst staying in the city of Paris with my OH on our first holiday together.
Went back in December 2013 when my OH was now my DH and our twin boys, aged 19 months. Stayed in the HNY for 4 nights.
Going back again this December, and again staying in the HNY, they serve hot breakfast and it's a short walk for little legs!

2011: 3 days (July) Sequoia Lodge
2012: 3 days (August) Newport Bay Club
2014: 3 days (October) Sequoia Lodge
Which year I loved the most? Really no idea, it was always even magical :)
Fav hotel: I love them both, if I really have to choose then maybe I would prefer Newport Bay, we'll be staying there again next time if the refurbishments are finished.
2011 March, Hotel Santa Fe, 5 days - our first trip as a family, and I fell in love with DLRP :)
2012 March, Hotel Santa Fe, 4 days - for the Welsh Festival, which was fabulous!
Then one big long trip from Dec 2014 to Jan 2015, including 3 hotels...
Explorer's Hotel, 1 day - really, really loved this hotel
Hotel Cheyenne, 7 days - first time for Christmas Season :)
Adagio Apparthotel, 11 days - nice relaxing stay and first time in Val D'Europe
We plan on returning in 2016 for the "Run Disney" event, and in 2017 for the 25th Anniversary.
It would be hard to pick a favorite time, as all of our holidays were fantastic, but the last big long one was definitely something very special. My favorite hotel we've tried so far is the Explorer's, although I have a soft spot for all of them as all have very happy memories. :D
Only been once, which was August 2014. We stayed at hotel Cheyenne for 4 nights. We are returning this year 30th November for 4 nights in Sequoia Lodge golden forest and we can't wait. We have always been lovers of Ibiza previously, which is why we've never visited but DLP has now become our favourite destination. We are thinking of giving next year a miss due to all the refurbs going on and then going in 2017 for the anniversary 😃

Have been to the resort 13 times and have stayed on site 9 times. I have stayed at all the hotels (except the Cheyenne) and my personal favourite is the Newport Bay which I think is beautiful.
I have to say that even though the Santa Fe is the bottom end of the scale, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. It is comfortable and the staff are always approachable (this relates to all hotels).
My top 3 hotels are (in reverse order):
3 Sequoia Lodge
2 Santa Fe
1 Newport Bay
The Disneyland Hotel maybe the ultimate Disney experience but I personally didn't think it was worth the money.
