The poster looks quite generic. There are so many films based on this story I wonder how this one will differ.

That really doesn't look like Carrey.

That's because it isn't. According to the info page it's animation. Ever since that goddamn Polar Express they've had bad CG Christmas movies every year :(

Is it just me or does that poster, even the font look remarkebly similar to the Muppet Christmas Carol :? .

First picture of Scrooge on D23:

I've always found A Christmas Carol completely boring, even the Mickey Mouse version, so to see it in horrible MoCap zombievision doesn't really appeal to me either, personally.

I think the style of the film is so unique, I've not seen a film like this before. Might take some getting used to, but I'm definitely excited about seeing this! Christmas is my favourite time of year and I'm a sucker for anything Christmassy, especially films!

^The Polar Express looks exactly the same. I'm not too keen on the style tbh.

The trailer makes it look like it may have some amusing moments but I'm not very excited by this release.

Yes... like the opening video in a computer game or something.

Just imagine how great a proper live-action version with Jim Carrey as Scrooge would have been. Why would you want to render an actor like him in Motion Capture anyway?

I'm excited about this for several reasons. Robert Zemeckis is my favourite director, A Christmas Carol is one of my favourite stories, and Jim Carrey is hilarious.
I just can't help wishing it was just a live action movie, I'm not too fond of the computerised animation. That said, I loved Beowulf. The less said about Polar Express the better...
