Hi i will be going to Disneyland Paris at the start of oct for 1 day only. Can anyone tell me what site is best to order tickets and which park is best. I want ammusements and also want to see the Disney Illuminations show. Also best time of day to arrive?. Any other information or recommendations about disneyland would be much appreciated as i am a bit confused by it all. Thank you

when you say you want amusements, what exactly are you looking for? Disneyland Paris has

1.Dark rides such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Phantom Mansion, Snow White. Peter Pan. This means you sit in a car which runs on a track in an indoor themed area. There is music, animatronics, props etc. Some like Pirates of The Caribbean and Its a Small World you are in a boat, in an indoor river. The boat is still on a track and moves automatically.

2. Simulator rides such Star Tours. This means you sit in a pod, wearing 3d Glasses watching a short movie. The pod moves forwards, backwards, sideways, up and down following the movements of the screen.

3. Rollercoasters such as Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones. Traditional style rollercoasters with Disney theming

4. Buzz Light year is a laser shooting game. You sit in a car which rolls on a track, similar to the dark rides in number 1 and you use a laser gun to shoot targets

5. A traditional fairground carousel

There are also shows, walk through attractions, and themed areas and parades.

If you want to see Illuminations and you're only going to one of the parks then your choice is made for you - Disneyland Park.

If you're only doing one day then arrive as early as possible. I'd aim to get for 9:30am so you can get into the park and explore Main Street before being allowed into the rest of the lands.
