Can adults dine while a child does not?

My DD age 5 doesn't want to dine in Agrabah as she really disliked the food, but me and DH absolutely love it. She would be happy having a banana while we eat there. It seems such a waste of money to pay approx £17 for her to not eat a bite. Has anyone been allowed to just pay for the adults and not the children - and if so - were they allowed to take in something else for the children, like a packet of crisps or something?

No one after the age of 3 may enter the restaurant without paying as it is a buffet restaurant.

They wouldnt let us even though our 3 yr old was asleep in the pushchair! Our other son ate a single bread roll.

Yeah you can see why - some unscrupulous people would use this as a way of not paying for meals for their children in the buffets. I can't see it being an issue in a table service restaurant though.
