My 12 yr old has read about a disney auto graph book. Does anyone know much about these?
We are going next week for the 1st time, so need to know ASAP
Do we buy them there? How much roughly are they? Are they worth getting? Will we get many autographs??
Thanks in advance

Hi :)
Imo they are worth getting! They used to cost around 9,99 to 12,99 eur and you find them on most DLP stores.
The number of autographs will depend on how lucky you are and how willing you are to wait in line to meet the characters. An easy way to get autographs is to book a character meal at inventions/auberge/café Mickey. The characters are due to return to the hotels soon, but no date announced as far as I know..

First time ever: August 2000, one day visit!
August 2010, NewPort Bay, 5 days
October 2012, Sequoia Lodge, 5 days
April 2014, Sequoia Lodge, 6 days - Big 7th Bday Surprise for DD#1 :)
September 2015, Newport Bay 6 days - Another surprise!!!

We did it a bit different one year, We bought a pack of snap cards from the Disney Store, about £3, and had the characters sign their own cards. The card and photos were then placed into the photo album

Definitely get a book! They're a fantastic way to collect memories. If you can keep the opposite page blank and then add a photo when you get home of them meeting or interacting with the character.....don't just wait for the posed photos....some of our best are when the characters are simply interacting beforehand .

They also sell chunky pens which are usually displayed right next to the autograph books.  The chunky large pens make signing easier for the characters who have some kind of glove or hand covering in their costume which is quite a lot.  They won't appreciate being handed an ordinary biro!

Have a look on Amazon too.
We have ones from DLP, but this time I got these

Slightly bigger than the DLP ones and we stated we are going to DLP so that's what it says on the front.
DD has Minnie. DS has Mickey :)

We bought a plain spiral bound notebook before we went and decorated it ourselves. As someone else said, keep the page opposite the autograph book free so you can stick in a picture of the character and your child next to it.

We also take a chunky sharpie for the character to use.

We used our son's for around 8 years, with visits to DL, WDW and DLP. Its great looking back at how he changed over the years.

I still have the same book from when I was 7 when we went to DLP (26 now).
This year I decided to print the pictures from last year on polaroids, I will let them sign those and put them in the autograph book. Just so I can do it differently this time instead of just having the same autograph every year :)
