what's the best transfer from cdg to dream castle hotel 2 adults and a 13 yearold

MotherKnowsBest!

Usually we travel by Eurostar directly into Disney, but last year we flew into CDG and I used I-Prestige for a private transfer. We were airport to hotel within 40mins, the driver was waiting on arrival and returned us straight to the check-in desk which was great service for us as I was travelling with my mum and 2 young sons. I guess it depends on how much you want to pay, times you arrive and depart etc...

Thanks for that info I'll check out their prices had been looking at the and magic shuttle coach have you been to dream castle? Was it nice?

MotherKnowsBest!

Yes we've stayed there 3 times and is lovely. The shuttle bus takes you straight to the parks so transfer times on the shuttle buses almost the same as the Disney hotels so never found that an issue. Room are spacious and always been really clean. We are going on Wednesday and was looking to book the DreamCastle again but for some reason it was working out £200 more expensive than the Seqouia lodge.

The TGV is hands-down no contest the fastest transfer method at 9 minutes... but there are sometimes large gaps between trains. Price wise it is very competitive with tickets from €18 per person.

Good morning everyone.
Was looking at TVG for Oct. Cant seem to book omline, I wondered if it was full or just a glitch. Whats the chances of just turning up and seeing which leaves first, TVG or shuttle and jumping on? We usually hire a car or get a prestige transfer when we all go but am having a sneaky extra trip with our youngest while the rest are working or at uni! :-[

Oh and the dream castle is very nice. My daughters loved the bejewelled headboard and tapestries in their rooms and the boys (even the big ones) had to have their photo taken on the large throne in reception!

The TGV website is awful. I used to be able to get bookings on it but now it's just a mess. I prefer to phone up the French reservation line now (but I don't know if you speak French).

You can just turn up and go but the walk-up price for the TGV is usually €35 or so per person.

Thanks for that. French pretty good but the cost of the call will probably be prohibitive so shuttle for two it is, can you still pay on the bus?
Getting excited now as we cancelled our summer trip due to DS no1 appendix bursting 3 days before we were due to leave   :(  Hubby is joining us later and then its a drive to Bordeax for some much needed sun!

Absolute rubbish if you are talking about the time you enter arrivals and finally getting to your hotel. By the time you get to the station, wait on a train, then get to your hotel at the other hand it would be 1 hr minimum.

Mileto

I also read about the time spent in reaching the TGV, if landing is on another terminal you need time to find the transfer train and so on... And the time between trains is not 15 minutes. I wanted to try it, but till now we always decided on VEA (Magic) shuttle. We never had problems with them. My daughter takes it as a part of the magic with these red busses.

This winter we decided to have a little bit more convenience and will use the private service of etzy shuttle.

I've also booked with is prestige for our trip this Sunday it actually worked out cheaper than the vea shuttle for 5 of us it's cost £130€ return that includes 3 booster seats which are free. I think this is a great price, I've used the shuttle before and it is great but we wanted to get there as quick as possible this time.

Well, I'm not. I'm talking about the journey time, obviously.

If you're arriving at terminal 2 (but not 2G) then of course it's easier to get to the TGV than from 1 or 3. If things line up you can be at HNY within 40 minutes of landing — admittedly you'd need absolutely everything to line up, but even if you gave someone a half hour head start they wouldn't do that well on the VEA shuttle, or whatever it's called this week.

@Slimy: yes you can pay on the bus but you might wind people up by delaying boarding ;)
