Greetings once again,

To those who are aware of Star Tours's reopening from earlier this year, then would be aware that whole Star Tours flight is in French. This is a bit of a problem, due to the fact that not every guest to DLP knows French.

However the solution can be quite simple, support both at one time.

One way to do it is to split the Boarding Gates into half, left side for French (Gates A, B and C) and right side for English (Gates D, E and F).

A better way is to design the language selection much like the Tower Of Terror, the Flight Crew Member (Cast Member) would select the language themselves, or it can be randomized.

Also the Maintenance Hangar where the big screen does support English, as some Star Tours infomercials play in English and French. However the tannoy announcements and C3PO and R2D2's conversations remain in French.

It would be nice to give English passengers some love, refer to the American Star Tours spaceports for original English versions.

I don't think splitting the gates would work simply because it adds an extra complexity which would slow loading. What if they can't completely fill the English gate with people standing near the front? Do they just let it go half full? That really affects throughput.

They could do a choice of soundtracks but tbh I've only known the cast member choose the English soundtrack once on ToT and that was when I was on it with a large group of students from my school. Most of the time they leave it on French because most of the people on there are French.

To be honest I wasn't fussed about it being in French when we went a couple of weeks ago. The bit while waiting to load has English subtitles so you get the context to set up the ride before boarding so although the ride itself is in French I feel it's quite self-explanatory from the context.

But that's just my opinion. Fair enough if not everyone agrees with me

Tbh I agree with that completely. The pre-ride video makes it clear what's going on and there's some iconic dialogue in the ride ("Help me Star Tours, you're my only hope") that I think is easy to understand. I've got a basic understanding of French and I got the jist of it.
