Just read about mother and daughter being sat separately. You're not alone on that one. On last years booking, they sat me, my mum and my brother on coach five, and my about to turn 3 year old son on coach 15. I spoke to the travel agent, I spoke to disney, I spoke to Eurostar. No one would offer any assistance. So I thought screw it I know he wants his own seat but he'll have to sit on my lap. When we got on the train, in coach 5 there was an absolute abundance of passengers talking to the train manager because they'd been ridiculously separated. The seats in front of us had actually been double booked, so one family was put in the staff coach- not first class as it was full. and the manager spent ages trying to rearrange just about everyone. However for us, we had a stroke of luck. The young lad that was in the seat next to me saw my sons ticket and said "that's right next to my girlfriend" so we swapped his and my son's places.

can't believe how difficult eurostar/disney seem to find seating groups.  as a project planner I know it's hard, but it is possible.  there should be checks in the system that don't allow a minor for instance to be placed by themselves.  and the fact that the above post has 2 separate parties split up but common sense showed they only needed to swap 2 tickets for them to be together really makes me wonder!
i'd accept that if i had a last minute booking then all of a group may not sit together, but when it's been booked a long time in advance there shouldn't be an issue.
i booked through 'Nectar' this year as used alot of our points towards the cost.  They were really helpful and I requested a table and that's what we've got.  I was much happier knowing our coach/seat numbers when I booked but know that's not the case for everyone.

This year we've got seats together :) we always book 5 or 6 months in advance so it shocked us last year but no problems this year, unless they've double booked seats again lol.

It's a eurostar problem as its them that deal with the seats. They need to get it sorted out. Bigger groups and late bookings I can understand but when people book in advance and have small groups, it's not good

My tickets came today  :D/  :D/
I have been so worried about the seating arrangements, but we are all together [-o<
Also, after looking at online numbered seating plans of the trains it seems we have managed to get a table too. I'm so relieved. We booked through Disney via Going Places, but we did book 12 months ago, so may be that is why we have been so lucky?

@gingajen If you the book the Eurostar online with Eurostar directly (Eurostar.com) you can choose the exact seats you want to sit in, for both your Outward and Inbound journeys. We always make sure our seats face in the direction of travelling, because I find it weird travelling backwards.

Here's an example screenshot (from another thread) of the interface used for choosing your seats:

Hi we are looking to go may 2013. Reading previous posts I understand it's best to book direct with eurostar. When can I book for may 2013? Reading your posts has made me slightly panic that there's a possibility I won't be sat wiv my 6 and 3 yr old? There r 6 of us in total. Scattering us throughout the train would be a nightmare. My mum is a nervous traveller, she will freak out!

We are travelling from Southampton so we are going to in ashford the night before. Any1 stayed at the holiday inn staying for £108 eurostar package (taxi to and from eurostar, one night stay, 4 night parking)? Good package?

One last question....with the new direct line times, after sorting your bags with Disney express what time would we actually get into the park?

Hope you can help :-)

Hi

Eurostar seats are bookable direct thru Eurostar themselves 10 months' in advance.  Altho they're only available on-line to book a few months in advance!  I've never been able to fathom this out! lol!  If you ring and tell them when you want your seats for they will take down your name and number and give you a reference number and they will ring you when your seats are on sale.

When we booked they asked us what seats we would like - so never had a problem with being sat in differrent areas.

We only ever use Disney Express on the journey back from DLP; as by the time you queue up to give your cases at the Disney Express check in at Marne La Valle' we find it just as quick to check into our Disney Hotel in that time.

Can't help with the Holiday Inn but hopefully someone will be along soon that can help.

That package with Holiday Inn is a good price as parking at Ashford is spitefully expensive, last time I used Eurostar I got a £10 room at Travelodge and paid about £30 to park, If HI includes Breakfast that's the one I would go for!

Didn't know you could ring them before the ticket went online! Going to ring them later as I need tickets for December!

Normally I book through Quidco but I'd rather have peace of mind they're booked as DLRP is booked!

Great info, thanks!

Your very welcome :)   Altho when I've phoned them before they've said that those seats weren't on sale - I've asked them to go check with their manager and suddenly they are on sale! :?

We desperately want to go in December - but can't find any travel insurance that would cover us in the event that we either courldn't get to Ebbsfleet because of snow or the Eurostar stops running because of the snow???  Have you managed to find any travel insurance to cover you in the event of the snow?? Thanks

We've not used the express service for a couple of years on the way to DLP.  We stayed at the Cheyenne last year and we checked into our room where we spent half an hour sorting ourselves out and were in the park for 3 pm! :D/
