Quote from: "Martyn"I hope they somehow give it a little 'Disney' touch.
I don't, for me the Village shouldn't be about "Disney" (as in the cliché), that should be kept more in the parks where as the Village should be a more subtle.

Will the restaurant be operated by Earl of Sandwich or will it be a franchise operated by Group Flo or ED SCA?

Subtle is good, but there's nothing wrong with some small detail, just to remind you of where you are. Such as that mural that used to be at the back of Starbucks.

Is EoS already open, because I've seen a picture on DCP that shows a sub and a dessert. Maybe a soft opening or perhaps it's just a picture from another location.

I don't think it's actually done yet, so unless it was outside the building, I don't think it was from the EoS. :)

Am I the only one who finds it very sad that have given the best view in the Village to a sandwich shop?

I think you are right. It seems the picture is taken in the US, because the poster used US Dollars instead of Euros in his post.

That's indeed sad. A nice table service restaurant with an outdoor seating area would be better for that location.

Absolutely. I do not begruge having economical offerings on site as everyone has different budgets. But that is a prime location and it equates to a sandwich shop with a load of folks that will want to eat and run.

I find it very hard to muster any particular enthusiasm about EoS tbh. It sounds like the food will be nice, and the building looks nice, so that's all very nice, but I would have hoped that changes/additions to the Village would try to develop a bit more than nice.

It won't save the Village, but I think it's a very good development. It must be about 80% of Disneyland Paris guests who never see the inside of a table service restaurant except for breakfast, and virtually no one eats in one three times a day, and up until now the options for them have been abysmal. They're still abysmal in the parks, but at least now in the Village they won't be so dependent on McDonald's.

And so they get a nice view. And that sandwich/parfait lunch does look awfully good. If it turns out to be reasonably priced and not stuffed with chemicals, I will love this place forever.

By the way, the French don't run with their fast food. It's one of their finest attributes. That's why you can never get a seat in a French McDonald's.

Well to be fair, it's got a lot of windows and seating areas.

Also, InsideDLParis has posted another update.

The assumption is that they will have the same menu as their new UK stores. :)
