And speaking of a Soarin' ride with an Up theme, listen to this track "Carl Goes Up" from the soundtrack, and imagine beautiful lush visuals rolling by under your feet. Imagine fields, clouds, and waterfalls. It'd be like Soarin', only with more tears :-)

The first 30 seconds in particular are just perfect for the beginning of Soarin', when your ride vehicle lifts up off the ground and swings over the Omnimax screen. It's a tremendous feeling of elation.

Here's a new photo to make you wish we had Soarin' in Paris. Look at how huge the ride system is. And look at the range of ages of people experiencing the attraction together.

Wow, that's gotta be at least 60 people, all at the same time. A 3 minute ride, so how does it have a 90+ minute wait at epcot alot?!

There's more than one of them. ;) I think there's about two or three, and they've all got anterooms.

60 people? Close. It's actually 87 people, all at the same time. And like Meph said, Soarin' has two theatres, so 174 people can all experience the attraction simultaneously.

Hi,
Just seen this thread. I would love a Soarin' at DLP - it is my favourite ride in WDW. Gives me the same excitement every time.
It would be great if they could make one for DLP featuring flying over Paris and other European capital cities, along with over the Alps with people skiing, with hot air balloons, maybe over Venice with gondolas etc, or along the Seine, ending with flying over DLP and towards the Castle, and into the fireworks to end, as it does in the California one.
One can only dream.....

I've never been on Soarin' but what Figgygirl has described sounds amazing and it would indeed be an ideal indoor ride for DLP and it would make good use of Videopolis which now seems to me to be a bit of a waste of space>  Bring it on....

It's more likely to be in the Studios, because that's where they're intending to build it: between Cinemagique and the Disney Channel building.

Quote from: "Alan"60 people? Close. It's actually 87 people, all at the same time. And like Meph said, Soarin' has two theatres, so 174 people can all experience the attraction simultaneously.

Soarin at EPCOT is so populair that its the first thing youll have to run for in the morning (Either go on it or get FP's right away). FP's usually run out in 2 hrs (on a busy day). The WDW version has two theaters which are both loading independent from each other. Because of its populairity it has been rumoured for many years that expention with one or even two more theatres is an option when Soarin 2.0 (over the world) comes out (As it has been rumoured for many years).
