Hi,

What's the name of the current Disneyland Paris souvenir DVD? Anyone have it?

Are these products any good now, or do they still specialise in close-up shots of fake families smiling?

The current DVD is "Une Aventure Magique" and it looks like this:

To be honest, I like the old videos (yes, the ones with the fake family smiles) much more. I just love watching "Entrez dans la Magie" and "Souvenirs, Memories of an unforgettable adventure". You see a lot of the park in those (not so much in the current one) and it is exactly this obvious "fake-ness" of those smiles that add such a naive charm to it. Maybe its' just me, but I love them ...

"Une Aventure Magique" was the official DVD in September 2008 and so I think it still is. I wouldn't recommend this DVD, it's really not worth 20€. It was a big mistake that I bought it.

I have also "Entrez dans la Magique". Although it is also not a good DVD, it's at least better than "Une Aventure Magique".

We got the Disney Vacation Planning DVD during our time in the US. The DVD is for free and it is so much better than the DLRP DVDs.
It includes Disneyland, Walt Disney World with all their parks, waterparks, hotels, Downtown Disney, recreation.
This DVD has also some informations about the Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, Disney Vacation Club and about Disney Parks (DLRP, TDR and HKDL) around the world.

Hmmmm, I have this one and have mixed emotions. There is an annoying kid who has his camera stolen by chip and dale, and goes around the park trying to get it back. There are some nice shots of some the attractions, and it has more footage of the Studios than the older ones did.

The extras are nice, with short features on the different parades (WWOD, OUAD, Fanti, and the old one from the Studios), ToT, Cars and Crush. There is a building of the castle short, a series of snapshots sped up.

It's ok, and we watch it occassionally (my 3 year old loves it). But it is not amazing. Then again, I always felt the planning DVDs for the States are better than the DVD's we have bought in DL, WDW and DLP.

There is a really nice video about the whole resort on the Euro Disney SCA homepage, why can't they put this one on a DVD, just longer and more detailed.

I have also DVDs about Walt Disney World and Disneyland Anaheim. They were really cheap, I got them on the German/Austrian Amazon for 5€ each.
The movies on the DVDs are the ones seen on the US Travel Channel and I really like them. I don't know how many times I have seen them in the US. Travel Channel showed them nearly once a week.

A few years ago I have seen a Travel Channel production about DLP and one about WDS. Maybe they are also available on DVD.

DLRP should produce a DVD like a Travel Channel show.

Does somebody know if there are official DVDs available about WDW, DL, TDL and HKDL. At WDW we couldn't find one. The CM told us that they have sold them in the past.

There are official DVD's for DL (it is 5 years old with a few new cut scenes edited in - but great if you have never really seen much on DL and DCA), and at WDW there is a five disc box set (MK, Epcot, MGM, DAK and the Disney Cruise Line). There is an official one for TDL as well. But I do not believe there is one for HKDL, if there were, it would be very short ;-)

Tokyo release DVDs and even Blu-rays of the parks, including full shows, even when they have only just premiered. Once again Tokyo win.

Maybe there is much of a market for them so the resort doesn't put too much money into them?
