Quote from: "Baloo"He was played by Jamie Oliver in the UK version, bizarrely... He did he a good job with those few lines though, just as Jeremy Clarkson was well cast as Lightning McQueen's sleazy agent (better than the US original, I heard).

I wonder who they'll get to do a voice in Wall-E? :?

Has anyone bought the Ratatouille soundtrack? It's mostly "score-only" music, by that I mean not that great to listen to on its own (apart from the Ratatouille Theme and End Creditouilles), but the song Le Festin is loooovely. :D It'd make for a good song to use at DLRP, somewhere.

Really :O ? clarkson was in cars ???

Yeah he was Lightning McQueen's agent, he only had a few lines and was only in two scenes (i don't want to say what incase someone hasn't seen Cars yet  ).  I was as surprised as you when i first heard on Top Gear magazine.  Clarkson, Richard and James from Top Gear were at the premier of the flim as well and Jeremy was saying "This is like my private cinema at home"  I heard that on Top Gear on BBC 2.

Its obvious that Ratatouille will win the best animation award, I mean, look at what its up against!

I'm not too sure on how well it will do in the other categories but it should still do quite well.

Reminder- the DVD is out on Monday here, though don't expect much from the 2-Discs. Looks like we're just getting the bonus disc that some US shops got, so it's pad-o-rama with limpy 2-minute clips.

And another example of Disney milking us for money -- the Pixar Shorts Vol.1 DVD is for some reason only available with Ratatouille over here. So if you want it now (I guess they might release it on it's own later) then make sure you buy the double pack I suppose...

It's being advertised on TV quite a bit, though the ads seem to be more for the burp joke crowd...

Rémy just picked up the BAFTA for Best Animated Film tonight! Brad Lewis the producer was there, very short speech. It was up against Shrek 3 and The Simpsons Movie. Bad year eh.

^^ I'm getting pretty jealous about all these Blu Ray players now! Disney are hyping it on every disc. It's won the format race before it's even started, surely?

Anyway, got my old-fashioned DVD yesterday and the extras are actually quite nice, though it really misses a commentary. Better than Cars at least. The only really annoying thing is that the Pixar Shorts version comes in a 3disc cardboard case thing, so if you're a nut like me it won't match the rest of your 50 odd Disney films. ](*,)

Have you seen the deleted scenes? It's crazy how much the film changed when Brad got in there. Seems like they didn't figure out the trick with Remy pulling Linguini's hair until very late.

£8 from Tesco.

I really enjoyed "Your friend Remy the Rat" and some of the extra features are really quite good.
