Hi, I have been looking but cant find the answer, please forgive me if its asked a lot..

On our last visit in 2011, we collected our park tickets and went straight to the park at 8am our first day, can you still do this?
We would need to leave cases etc at the hotel (undecided which one yet but leaning to SL), is that still possible?
we are aiming to arrive on a Sunday before Christmas 2019 and want to get into the park as early as possible!

It's not something I ever do as I get my tickets on the train but as far as I'm aware when you check in to your hotel you get your park tickets. If you check in before your room is ready you put your luggage in the luggage room and come back and get it and your room key later.

I can confirm what claire2281 is saying. I always check in and pick up my park tickets early. Leave the bags at the hotel have a great park day and pick up my keys after park closing.

As others have said, you can definitely do this. Your tickets are valid for the whole day of your first night's stay so you can collect them at any time - we often stay in a nearby hotel the night before our trip "really" starts in order to do this. We're doing the same on our next trip, with a Saturday night in Magic Circus so we can check in to DLH early and get straight to the park on Sunday.
