Good!  Maybe I should make friends with some travel agents and hope they get some DLRP stuff in?  :D

Onto some more SM:M2 news now, and it looks like they're preparing to remove some of the last remnants of Discovery Mountain...

The scaffolding rig looks like it's so they can change the "DM" sign, but I'm not sure what they need the boat for...

I also read somewhere that Mariah Carey will be at the VIP Premiere, though I'm not sure if it was a joke or not...

Obviously not, judging by last year's LOTLK premiere - who WERE those people??!  :?  Looks like they're taking a step even further down the VIP ladder this year...

I was hoping for someone connected with space a bit more than Mariah Carey though... (ie. ANYONE else) lol  Didn't they get an astronaut for the original opening?

Yes, they had Buz Aldrin.  He and Neil Armstrong were the first persons to walk on the moon in 1969.

I thought it was him or Neil.  :D

I wonder what kind of opening Mission 2 will have?  A big "grand opening" like the official ride or just some kind of "premiere" event like LOTLK?  It would be nice to have a big grand opening to get the new attractions off to a good start...

Thanks to Joel (//http://www.joel.at.dlp.online.fr), here are some more photos of the lovely "new" entrance sign:

I said "new" above since there is actually a lot of the old sign still in place.

And another of the Fastpass attraction sign:

I don't like the look of this too much now to be honest.  When the sun catches it like that it looks very 2D and not as expensive-looking as before.  It's only the Fastpass sign though I suppose...

And finally, the poster is gone!

Wow!  They got it working!  Isn't it just brilliant to see this again after so long?  :D And look at the speed of the train!  Wow!

Hi,

This travelagency commercial stuff, i saw the pictures from, is exactly the same as we have here in Holland. I was really surprised to see so many promotional material in one travelagency last Saturday. It looks really well!

The new main attraction poster has been installed:

//http://kyoto.free.fr/PAQUES%20MARS%202005%20064.jpg

It's basically the same as the smaller posters seen earlier which is disappointing, but I'm still hoping they'll impress us with some nice lighting effect behind it perhaps...  :D

Another photo of the poster:

It does stand out a LOT actually, which I suppose is good...

I think the poster looks good.  But it's a shame it doesn't have that same style as the drawings in the Jules Vernes books.

What I absolutely didn't like, was the new sign lit up.  It looks so cheap.  Like a store sign or something.  I'll post a picture later today or tomorrow!
