So no change from last years price... still find it a lot of money for a parade that's about 35 minutes and some fireworks that are far from spectacular, to say the least. Unless there's a surprise this year?

I do find this disproportionately high.  It's a great place to celebrate New Year and I'm sure there will be lots of meet and greets, but what could possibly be worth that much?  So frustrating as I love visiting DLP at this time of year, but can't justify that price with a family of 4

I think it's more reflective of the time of year than what they're specifically offering. Going to many big places or parties is disproportionately expensive on NYE to the point they're just not viable for most people. Obviously DLP thinks people will pay this and the event will sell out (as I believe it did last year)

That's a lot, but at the same time I can understand them charging that much, as I assume the demand is huge.
