Im in the very early stages of planning another trip to Disneyland Paris. My last trip was February 2016, the week after both the UK and Ireland half term holidays. While it was cold, there were low crowds so Im trying to work out a similar time frame in 2019.

I havent kept up with the refurbs and closures so can any one list the known closures / and refurbs that I might have missed? Im going to check the main DLP website and see whats listed there

Oh wow, you have a lot of new stuff to see then!  Pirates, Star Tours and Big Thunder are all new (and amazing!) and Phantom should be finished by then as they're saying early 2019.

Not sure what season will be on - is Season Of The Force returning?  We went in March last year and the weather was pretty rubbish overall.  I was really disappointed with SOTF because apart from the evening show onto ToT, it was pretty much the normal park but they'd stopped other things like the Princess Waltz and Mickey & The Magician too.  They usually do close Mickey & The Magician at that time of year so if you haven't seen that and want to then it may be worth seeing when they plan to close it.

Hope you have a great time!

I just looked at the closure list on the official website. They have listed up to March so far, and that seems to be the time with the least closures.

The new Pirates and Star Tours are mainly what I want to see and Im trying to avoid Phantoms closure as I want to see that too.

Yes its the seasons theming / events I need to find out about. Im not really bothered whats on really, I might or might not go to any of the special events.

I saw Micky and The Magician in Disneyland California in June 2017, so thats not a biggie for me.

I am also looking to get home next March/April.
How do you manage to visit Anaheim so often (not meaning to sound rude). I'm intrigued, what hotels do you use etc...I'm hoping to get there in five years time and will need to plan asap. PM me with the lowdown if you have time. TIA.

thats ok, lol, I budget very carefully during the year. For example I dont drive,I use public transport, and I economise on food, clothes, socialising etc.  I book flights in January when Aer Lingus have a sale, and at Anaheim I stay in budget motels, this year 2018 I stayed at Motel 6 approx $120 a night, which is the cheapest you can get. This year I got a 3 day 1 park ticket, other years I have got 2 days 1 park tickets. I buy my park tickets online through Last Minute Travel Club , as they are $50 cheaper than buying through Disney.  I have written up this years trip report on DIS if you are interested https://www.disboards.com/threads/solo-2018-disneyland-california-adventures-i-survived-with-no-maxpass-no-car.3692412/

We're looking at our usual Feb trip, although now with a school aged kid we're being forced into half term.

Main downer from the EEP http://holidays.disneylandparis.co.uk/eep.html is that Buzz will be shut in Feb, which is annoying being both a favourite and somewhere to get inside of the Feb weather. Hopefully next year we would avoid the massive snowfall that blighted us this year.

Autopia, Dumbo and Cars Rally shut too, which with a 5 year old is a shame as that takes out a few kid friendly rides, as well as the tram tour shut again as this year.

On the plus side, Casey Jr and Pays De Contes looks like they may be open, which would be something new for us as in all 6 trips they've never ever been open when we've been. Add Mickey & The Magician is there in Feb this time, from Feb 2nd (I hope that's midweek too) and the possibility of the Pirates & Princess Season and the Legends Of The Force, there still looks plenty on as long as there's not too much in the way of short term closures announced later.

Out of interest, I know Mickey and the Magician is closed at the moment, but when is it actually coming back? Is anything replacing it in the interim?
