Just returned from a five day trip and the technical break down were more than bad luck on our part and unexceptable
Thunder mountain cued up 8 times 4 times had to leave because it broke down .
Case junior train had to climb off by ladder because it broke down before it got all the way round.
Buzz light year stop and started all the time .
Studio tour broke down for about six hours (but to be fair it always seem to be broke down so no shock really).
Ratatouille broken down the two times we tried go on it.
I except things do break but this year it just seemed to happen to often. Don't want to because I love the place but I do feel like complaining 1 break down is unfortunate 2 is annoying 3+ is no acceptable  for a company like Disney anyone else complained or experienced  these breakdowns?

Im a member of another Disney forum which are mainly for the California and Florida parks. Rides break down alot in those parks too, its just the nature of the game. In all parks the weather plays a factor, the sun and heat in California and Florida and the winter rain and cold in Paris.

Also sometimes the least little thin can take a ride down, especially the track based rides. For example Ratatouille , if something gets on the tracks, a piece of paper dropped by someone in the car, it will stop the system.

With Buzz the stopping and starting is due to CM's stopping the ride to allow for wheelchair guests to enter and exit. The same happens on Phantom Manor

Yup, as stated, Buzz isn't a breakdown. It has to stop for anyone with impaired mobility.

The only one with a true problem is BTM which isn't broken as such but it's safety systems seem over sensitive. It was just the same before the refurb and I think part of the issue is it's very exposed and vulnerable to the elements. They couldn't fix it without closing it again so... Also rider behaviour can play a part in this too - another common reason for BTM being stopped is stupid people trying to stand up. Once it's been stopped it has to be completely reset and can take a while to get it going again.

I have to say I agree with you, BTM was shut a hell of a lot the past week and we were escorted from Rock n Roller Coaster as well as it broke down whilst we were on it. Indiana Jones also broke down, as did Crush, Ratatouille, Space Mountain, and Buzz Lightyear (not just for the disabled guests getting on and off, but properly down for a period of time).
I think perhaps as the parks were so busy the situation was heightened somewhat. It can be very frustrating.  ???

Got back last night and have to say, I'm so disappointed. I spent 1.5 days in the park, and a lot of this time was spent waiting for rides which would break.

The very first ride I went on was Phantom Manor. It broke down, about 10 seconds into it (we were stuck just at the top of the ramp). We were stuck for near 30 minutes, with no information other than the journey would continue shortly. Eventually, we were evacuated from the ride. We later went back to Phantom Manor and it broke again when we were about to board, leading to another 15 minute delay. When we eventually got on board, the music didn't work for the 2nd half of the ride.

We then went to Buzz as our 2nd ride. It broke also in the tunnel and we were stuck for 10-15 minutes. This time they managed to fix the issue and we weren't evacuated.

Space Mountain had a 15 minute queue about 1.5 hours before the park closed, so we went to wait for it. 40 minutes in to this 15 minute queue, someone comes around and tells us one of the trains was broken so it would take longer. OK, no problem. We wait another 30 minutes or so to be told the other train was now broken. No apologies or anything. It was our last day in the park, so we were pretty gutted. We managed to run to Buzz before the park closed, though...

We also had issues with Snow White - we were in the queue for about 5 minutes and that broke too (Pinocchio broke at the same time - they are next door to each other, so perhaps the rides are linked?)

Not only this, but I also found the park pretty dirty - it needed a good lick of paint and A LOT of dusting. I don't know. I've only ever been to Orlando before, and always found the experience there magical. The cast members, we even saw many walking through the parks on their mobiles!

Hopefully now that Disney own the majority of the park, they can begin fixing these issues. There seems to be a lot of work that needs doing...

Yep, we noticed this as well. Not so much the paint thing, but the dust and dirt everywhere. It does need a good clean. Cobwebs hanging off things in Its a Small World and litter floating in the water areas in particular.

To counter this, I just spent 5 days there and the only noticeable break down was BtM which was being it's normal unreliable self. It was down when our fastpass time came up but we were just allowed to return any time later so it wasn't a problem.

I use the fastpass system for everything I can and queue only for the shorter queue rides (and Crush!) and we weren't affected once by a break down whilst we were queuing.

Coaster Kingdom

We had stalls (stuck on rides) on Hyperspace Mountain on top of the second lift hill by the big screen, Crushs by the first lift hill in pitch black and Rock n Roller at the last break run......they are NOT fun!

I hope they've fixed the break-down issues. I don't fancy being stuck on a ride.

mackemlad79

Didnt see too many problems last week. Pirates went down for an hour just as we had been on. I think Ratatouille was off when we walked past too but nothing too major to report.

stormflm595

We got stalled on Hyperspace on the second lift hill just under the large screen as well. Turns out it was because a guest in a wheelchair was boarding in the station so they had to stop the ride for 5 minutes to give them time.

We gut stuck on BTM right at the entrance to the dynamite scene. the train was already having a hard time going across the big lift, so it might not have had enough momentum to continue. CMs were very helpful, asking if my mom with her almost non-functioning foot will be able to make the drop onto the emergency stairs or if they should ask for the fire&rescue guys to come. We were given as much time as we needed to go through the entire evacuation route (down the stairs left of the tunnel etrance, into the the mountain, past the hidden extra train, under the lake - which appears to be leaking a bit- and back up all the way to the exit.Quite an adventure, though the area behind the scenes is rather unspectacular. We put the names of the two CMs who helped us on the pluto card afterwards, to make sure they get rewarded for their helpful attitude

we went over halloween for 3 days and didnt experience a single breakdown or aware that any ride wasnt functioning when checking the app. we had VIP fastpass so stuck almost exclusively to the big thrill ride.

Coaster Kingdom

In respect to BTM it isnt just a standard coaster, it has so many variables that can stop it, remember this coaster has 2/3 indoor sections with multiple projections, it goes through water, it has 3 lift hills at list. The whole thing is so complex and I am suprised it runs as well as it does tbh. It can be so frustrating that it breaks so often but enjoy it when it does run because its a beautiful coaster :)

As for Space Mountain etc, I have been on it multiple times when it has broken, top of the 2nd lift hill mainly, had lights on, evacuated, all sorts ha ha ha ha.
