Hi has anyone done the guided tour? Is it worth doing what do you do?

gearbox2005

I did the tour around the main park about 10 years ago and it was well worth doing.
We were in a group of about 6 people and the guide was very informative and showed us a lot of "hidden" features about some of the buildings and rides. We got to go behind the scenes of Star Tours - that blew me away.
After about 2 1/2 hours we ended the tour at Phantom Manor and received a commemorative pin badge.

A&S&O

Hasn't the price skyrocketed recently? I think that's why we've only done it once.

We did it a few years ago and basically it depends on the interests of your guide. We spent way too much time on Main Street and too little time anywhere else.
I think you can ask them to focus on certain areas though - we found that out later.

Sulley's Arms

We did the tour 3-4 years ago. It was just us plus one other family; since I'd booked first the tour was in English as the first person gets to nominate (when booking) which language.

We started in Town Square and worked our way up Main St., going in various buildings to discover hidden secrets!

We moved on to Frontierland (he'd asked us all what we'd prefer to do so based the tour on that), went into detail on BTM and Phantom Manor, including the story behind each and how they're linked.  Moved through Frontierland and on to Pirates, ending up in Fantasyland for a time before saying our fairwells!

So in essence, if you book a tour you can choice one currently vacant, nominate your preferred language, then on the tour determine (within reason) what to focus on.

Well worth it when we did it, although as A&S&O says the price appeared to increase recently (6 months ago?) so maybe just check that out first.

I asked about the tour three weeks ago and it was €50 which put me off a bit. I'm back in Disneyland Paris tomorrow and reading some of the comments above I might go for it this time. Sounds great!

Done the tour today and while it was good €50 was a bit too much for what it was.
The girl who conducted it was lovely and knowledgable. It was basically moving from site to site starting at the park gate and working down Main Street towards the castle, then into the lands starting in Frontierland and going clockwise and finishing in Discoveryland. Lasted about two hours. No goodies (did read we might get a badge or something) and no behind the scenes visits as a previous poster mentioned.
