OK so a lot of you will have an idea about what to expect.
I have no idea, I have never been abroad, this is the first time my passport and my very British self has ever left the country, and up until a few years ago I had never stayed in a hotel either, so I just don't know what to expect!
I am travelling for 5 days and staying in the santa fe, a week tomorrow.

Rooms- are there towels provided? Is the heating controlled by room or do you just get a cooling fan and central heating kind of thing? So I know if I need cool night stuff or warm. Also, what is the deposit needed for getting a kettle in the room?
What is the latest we can check in? First day were using disney express having bags taken to the hotel and hitting the park right up until dreams, then eating, then hotel... is this too late? Will we need to head up earlier in the day?

Do people speak English there? Cast members in the parks and hotel? I heard about the badge flag thing but my boyfriend tells me not everyone wears them, only really hotel concierge. I have practiced using Google translate but everytime I try speak French I end up speaking Spanish! I'm gonna end up not speaking much throughout the entire trip.

Disney express - do they take the bags to your room or to the hotel lobby?
So many questions I am really unsure what to expect when I get there and I need to prepare myself (and calm down or I ain't sleeping for the next 7 days)

Relax, plan what you are taking with you, have some idea what you want to do but don't make your plans too rigid but most of all go with the flow & enjoy yourselves  :)

Relax and have a wonderfull time. Diseyland paris was my first vacation without parents and it was a wonderful experience. The castmembers are wonderfull and happy people (in my experiences) who are willing to help you with every question and problem. I hope you have a wonderfull trip.

towels are provided. A little botle of shower gel and shampoo are also provided and will be replaced if you use them. there is airconditioning (a ceiling fan i think) and heating in the room which you are able to control, but it is not always working as I would want it to work, so pack something cool and something warm just in case. I don't know about the kettle, never really liked tea..

everybody speaks English. Some better than others but they al understand and speak it. I don't speak french not even a word and never had a problem ever. The times when I tried to speak french they always answered in English or even dutch (I am from the Netherlands) they make it al so easy and understandable. Just be patient and respectfull to them and they are happy to help you with everything.

I do not know if you know it already, but if you want to know more about the parks take a look on dlpguide.com for some awesome tips and restaurants menu's and other info

Santa Fe is an American Motel style hotel. This means that the rooms are in blocks behind the main building. The shuttle bus from the park will bring you to the front of the hotel / main building. This is where Reception, the shop, bar and dining room / restaurant are.

When you check in you will be given a breakfast time slot. You will probably have to collect your bags from the luggage store which is located in the building beside the main building.

You will then follow the path behind the main building to find the block where your room is.  There is a small garage/ petrol station/ convenience shop at the top of the hotel driveway

Reception is 24 hours but Im not too sure about the luggage store. As its separate from the Reception area I think the luggage store may close around 9pm but Im not sure, maybe someone else will know a more accurate time

I stayed at the Cheyenne a few weeks ago and I think their luggage store closed at 11pm?

I had all these same worries (and more) last year when I was in your exact position. You will be fine, the Disney part of things is actually super easy. It was the flying part that I found most stressful haha :)
