I can understand why they kept the Snow White float (for celebrations) but why keep the Cinderella float not others like Ariel? Is it special?

They might be keeping the Steamboat Willie float (For Celebrations) but the Dumbo float is being remodeled and repainted for Disney's Character's Express (Now Showing)

But I think the rest of the floats should be staying outside in the storage area.

Well Cinderella is a nice royal coach that could be used for any kind of parade or event.  The others are all very much parade floats and would look weird used in any other way.

According to cast members on Disney Central Plaza would the Cinderella float be stripped down and rebuild to the Toon Train.

The Mary Poppins float will undergo a similar faith as it will be rebuild to the float for High School Musical on Tour.

The other floats will be destroyed this summer.
