Ever been to a DLP as one person trip? How long? Some tips for this one person experience? Its good or bad?

I have done 1 solo trip and 1 almost solo trip to DLP and I have also done  multiple kinda solo trips to Disneyland California.

On the almost solo trip to DLP I was with my mum but we split up most of the day as she can not spend as long walking  and on her feet as I can. On the kinda solo trips to Disneyland California, my friend lives near the park and goes home in the afternoon while I stay in the park until closing.

I honestly love being in Disney on my own. I love the freedom to do what I want when I want. If I want to go on a ride multiple times I can, if I want to sit and people watch I can, if I want to eat in a particular restaurant I can. Being on your own in the park you can do so much more than when you are with other people.

I eat in restaurants on my own, I go on rides on my own, I go to the shows and parades on my own. I am totally happy just to be in Disney and do my own thing.

I was a solo person when sleeping in the Santa Fe as my family were staying in the Cheyenne (I joined them at the last minute). I felt completely safe & at ease moving around the site late at night & dark mornings for breakfast. I never felt out of place as a solo eater in the dining room. Go for it, you won't have as long to wait in queues for rides haha.

So far I've been to DLP twice on my own. 3 nights the first time, 4 nights the second.
Had a good experience both times, it's very relaxing not being bound to anyone. :)

All rides are yours to do whenever you like, which is quite liberating. As for eating on your own, it's so much faster! :D In and Out in under an hour for table-service is perfectly doable, which is really nice.

As for tips, I find it hard to say. Everyone has their own preferences for a good experience. :)
Just enjoy yourself and use the fact that you're unbound by the presence of family or friends.

I've done a solo trip twice now: last year April for 3 days and two weeks ago for 1 day.
My next solo trip will be in October for 6 days.

I absolutely love going by myself!
I can meet all the characters that I want, go eat wherever I want, do the rides that I want.
It's really nice not to have anyone that you have to take in consideration.

It's really hard to give tips because everyone is different.
Some people can handle being there on their own a lot better than others.
I do advice you to watch the Youtube videos that "ThatDisneyLover" made on going to DLP solo.

Thank you for all the answers!
I will be the first time the DLP itself in early October. I was afraid that I would be bored or have to worry about :) harder to shoot with characters.

Most characters will have a CM escort with them anyway, just ask if the CM wants to take the picture and done. :D

And if there's not a character attendant present, just ask a surrounding guest.
I always do that and have had no problems with it at all.

Thank you all! I am little scared about my single trip :) Next question later...

michaelj1973

Don't be scared. Just watch out and don't do things you wouldn't do on every other place.
I've been single to dlp and disney world. So it's not a problem but just watch yourself just as you would do in a big city.
