This would work so well they could have a jazz band playing in Tiana's place and put in another riverboat landing!

Let's hope some of the imagineers at disneyland read this! Maybe the reason it hasn't been done yet is they couldn't find the right theme!

On the Adventure land side they could have swamp themeing to help with the trasition into the area and tucked away in that corner of Frontierland it wouldn't be too much of an impact on the big thunder messa area.

This is interesting. I found an old video from 1999 of a Jazz Band playing on Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland Paris. The clothes the guys are wearing are very similar to what Prince Naveen is wearing when we first see him in the Princess and the Frog. Have a look.

My point is, wouldn't it be great to have the same band performing in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Paris, right by the Princess and the Frog version of Splash Mountain?

In a word: YES!

What a great clip, that music was so good!

I think Disneyland Paris needs Splash Mountain.

Weather has nothing to do with it. Most theme parks around the world have log flumes.

From the magic within our hearts, to the adventure beyond the horizon, there is only one Disney!

I thought I'd resurrect this discussion. If you look at this interview with Tony Baxter from May 2011, he discusses his desire to do a Princess and the Frog attraction. Here's his response to the question, "what other Disney property do you think also deserves its own attraction?"

"I think, even, Princess and the Frog. We've got the only park with New Orleans. And I loved when they had the Riverboat Review last year, and I'd love to make an attraction out of that."

I'm glad that video has popped back up, I remember getting so excited over it when it was originally uploaded.

The Princess & the Frog is an amazing film and easily one of my favourites, though the likely hood of it reaching DLP is small, since EuroDisney are focusing on WDS for the next ten years or so I doubt Disneyland Park will see a new attraction for a long, long time. In saying that, it took over 20 years to get a Little Mermaid attraction opened, from when it was released back in 1989 - so there's no reason why in 10+ plus years we wouldn't have a Princess & the Frog attraction.

Here we are 10 years later...

I thought it would be fun to resurrect this discussion now that:

1. Splash Mountain really IS going to be rethemed to The Princess and the Frog 😵
2. I've written a NEW 4066 word article all about it, which actually references this discussion here on the DLPGuide Forum 🕰

I hope you enjoy reading it, I hope you're satisfied. 😀 But if you ain't, don't blame me...
