I just tried to get quotes from central reservations for September or October 2014 only to be told that this wasn't possible yet as bookings won't open until the new year. Is this right?

That's right. I think the current booking period lasts till April 2014. So for reservations in late 2014 you'd have to wait for April 2014.

But if you go online to the disneyland paris website you can get quotes on there uptil xmas 2014 but you cant book the Eurostar or Flights. http://www.disneylandparis.co.uk  Hope this helps x
