The Bateaux Mouches trip is worth doing. A lovely boat trip down the river Seine.

This sounds great, we were wanting to do a day trip into Paris, how do you go about booking this, and where abouts do you get on etc.?

Hi, thanks for that Tubbsy, 2 of my sons, age 4 and 8 both have ASD, so like you everything has to be planned in detail, and printed off in pictures so they can see what's happening before it happens, it's the only way we can have a good time.  This will be the first out of 4 trips we've attempted to go into Paris, so i'm trying to gather as much info as poss.

We are reading off the same song sheet then!
I am feeling wobbly about leaving the security of the parks with him. I am sure it will be fine, but it is unnerving isnt it?

I am also looking at the open top buses. Reading mixed reviews, but I think you do on anywhere in the world.
Its looking like an option though as it does stop and let you get a closer look at the sites of Paris.
I am thinking it will give our legs a break-we are not exactly planning a restful holiday!   However, as they can be slow in moving on from each monument/museum, will our kids find this frustrating and get agitated?

Or how about these Polar Vixen? There arent as many stop but they seem to move on quicker.
Reviews complain that the audio doesnt work well, but, as a family, we arent bothered by listening to tour info, preferring to do (LOADS) of (ASD!!!) research before we go.

There is so much to do in Paris, i liked Montmartre if you haven't been?
I've stayed in Paris and gone to Disneyland for the day, but when I'm staying at Disneyland I can never pull myself away, nothing in Paris could, not even a boat trip down the river Seine in a  Bateaux Mouches.

Thanks ed :) I am wondering if we will get away from the park!
Steph (18 year old) has been to Montmartre. The best the rest of us have done is drive near the Eiffel tower when the satnat took us on a detour 3 years ago!

So much to think about doing!

OK, we have had a good old chat and as Steph is the only one who has been, we are not going ot be daft and try and squeeze lots in. We walk EVERYWHERE so dont think we are mad walking it. If it gets too much we will jump on a bus!

We are on NPB Admirals floor, so we are going to have room service in the morning.
Walk to the RER and get it through to Saint Michel in Paris and walk up to Notre Dame.
A walk across to the Louvre (not going in!) and then down to the Bateaux Mouches.
Rest feet on the cruise!
Then we will hop off and walk to Eiffel tower.
If we are up to it we will then walk up to Musee Dorsay, but this will be a bonus!
Then back to DLP for dinner at the Steakhouse in the village :)
Tired? Yup!

You'll be going before us, can't wait to hear how it works out for you!.  We're not bothered about audio either with 5 kids, (13,8,4,2 and a 6 week old baby), don't think we'd get to hear much of it, but lots of pre-prep will give us things to look out for.  We were wanting to get a closer look at the Eiffel tower, maybe go up it a little, but have heard the queues can be huge, any experiences?
Thanks again everyone!
