Slimy yet satisfying

I think that this must be a relatively new option. If you ordered online previously for a brand new pass then you were sent a voucher of sorts to enter the park. You then had to go to the annual pass office located in the park to have your photo taken and plastic card issued. You could only do renewals online beforehand as they already had your details and a photograph on file. I can understand what Claire meant as it was a huge hassle unexpectedly standing in a long queue for people who thought it was already sorted online plus you couldnt then sponsorfor a month as the pass started the day you get your plastic card issued. If this is the new option then it sounds ideal for you. Let the forum know how you get on. New info and tips always appreciated here.

u have to send passport photos in now and i have been assured i can use this to sponsor as long as it arrives a mth b4 i arrive there.   we are going to apply in next 2 weeks as we are going easter so have 3 mths,  ive been told it takes up to max of a mth to arrive including postage time , so once ive got it ill let u know thx

That sounds easier. Just be aware that your pass will still only be valid for a year so if you apply in Feb 18 it will expire in Feb 19 not when you first visit in April which is when your other passes will be valid from. Of course if you get the extra months added on then thats not a problem.

Hello, just a quick question.
We have Magic Plus annual passes, if we are taking a family member away with us and buying Billets Des Amis for them can they use the extra magic hours?

karen333

yes i am aware that it will run out earlier but with the 6 mths sponsor extra mths added on it will be longer than the others , by the time we get it sorted and returned if takes a mth should be around march anyway , so fingers crossed all goes to plan lol

Hi we are going to be getting annual passes by sending the application form on the Disney website and they send the passes through the post (have called to check you can and they have confirmed.) However it won't be until April that we will get them I imagine (based on how long it says they take to come) we are going end of may for 7 night and currently have booked through expedia to stay at Magic circus (26th may for 7 nights) it will cost us £969 for the 7 nights (to be paid on arrival). I know with the infinity pass which is what we are getting you can get discounted room only rates at Disney hotels. Has anyone ever used this for Hotel CheyennCheyenne or Santa Fe and if so how much would we roughly be looking at for the 7 nights in the above date for 2 adults and children (6years and 3 years). Would much rather stay in a Disney hotel if the cost isn't too much. Thanks in advance x

Can't say how much May will cost, but my daughter & I will be staying at the Santa Fe next month for an insanely cheap total of £170 room only for 4 nights with our pass discount!  As soon as you have your passes, give them a call & see what they can offer you.  It's pretty hit & miss with the price but worth a call nonetheless.  Don't forget, breakfast is no longer included unless you pay extra for a meal plan.

Can we ask - Do you know what phone number to ring from the UK - is there a special AP booking line?

Just the one number for all things, including annual passes.  The agents are excellent - fluent in English & very knowledgable.  :)

Please help this very confused person! I used to think I was fairly intelligent but this Annual Pass business has got me completely confused!

I'm looking into getting annual passes for my husband and I for the first time (no children). I have been reading through all the post on here and I'm still confused! If anyone could help me with these questions I would be eternally grateful:

1.   We are looking at the Infinity pass - but would you recommend we both have the same level of pass? Is the only benefit that we would both be able to get into the park on the same dates??! So, if we were only going to visit off-peak dates would it make more financial sense to get 1 x Infinity and 1 x lower-band pass?
2.   Should I purchase both passes at the same time or is there some financial benefit to getting the 2nd pass a month or so later if I can get some kind of discount???
3.   Sponsoring – does this have to be done in person? Or can someone sponsor me if I am buying a pass online?

If anyone has any other tips for 2 adults, please share! I apologise if these answers have already been given loads of times – I wasn't sure if the answers might have changed with the introduction of the new passes (and I wonder if it all might change again with the March changes???)

Many, many thanks in advance!

Let's see if I can shed some light on your confusion :)

1. If only you buy an Infinity-pass you cannot watch Stars on Parade or Illuminations together from the vip-area (that's only for Infinity-holders). Discount can be shared (i.e. you just show your pass when buying food/merchandise and get the highest discount). Same goes for parking in the Infinity-area;
2. If your husband buys it first and you a month later, he can sponsor you and get you a 10% discount. However, you have to buy your AP in the park then, not online, and he has to be there when you do.
3. Well, see 2:) You have to be in the park with the person you're sponsoring when they buy their AP.

Thank you NCC1701Q - see, I knew there are people out there far more intelligent than me!

I wouldn't say that, just had a bit more experience with the whole AP- and sponsoring-stuff I guess :)

Apparently the 3 lower AP's are increasing in price from 21st March by 10 Euros. Infinity AP will stay the same price.

Also new AP merchandise will be released. Lanyards, Pins, Mugs, T shirts etc. Only available in Flora's Boutique and on production of a valid AP.

Infinity areas such as dedicated parking zone and viewing areas are to be extended.

Interesting that they are offering new perks to AP holders - with most perks incurring extra cost.
