Quote from: "clairabell13"We are going to dlp in June. We have fantasy passes from our last visit. When we are there, there is one blackout date (2nd June). That is the day we are arriving in France. although we won't be going in the park, we  want to go into the village. Could we still use our fantasy pass for parking on the blackout day?

Could anyone help me with the above question please?  :D   Thanks. xx

AFAIK the restriction dates just mean you cannot access the parcs with your AP on these days, parking should not be affected, any1 plz correct me if I am mistaken

Basically, the reasons for blackouts are major holidays. AP Dream is the only one that works on days like Xmas eve or on New Year's. Fantasy and Francilien will not be working mostly 2-5 days before and after, as well as ON the holiday itself. This is why these passes are cheaper than Dream, because you have a lesser number of days where the pass can be used.

Okay, apologies if this is covered in this thread, but I haven't found it yet.

There is quite a few of us going in October for two nights, three days. Two of those days are blackout days for the Fantasy pass so we would have to get the Dreams one if we go down that route.

So two questions.

There are nine of us going, all family but in three different family units. Presumably we would qualify for the 20% discount. You don't have to be immediate family I take it. We have two surnames between us.

And can you buy these over the phone in advance or does it need to be in person once you get there?

Thanks in advance.

You can buy or expand/change your AP by phone, though it takes a little clicking around the site(s) to find the number- and I already forgot it again, sry  :?
Just make sure to call 1-2 months prior to your visit, as they need to send you the forms and you need to send them back. French mail isn't the fastest unfortunately

Hi Storyreel

Just be aware that you have to live at the same address and be able to show proof of this. We bought Dream passes in January for myself, hubby and son plus 3 nieces but could not get the family discount because we do not all share the same address :(

Happily a very kind forum member met us at DLP so we were able to get the 10% sponsership discount.

When in October are you going? maybe other forum members are there at the same time who would be able to sponser you. I will be there 15 - 19th october and we could sponser 9 people.

Thank you Amanda. That's really helpful to know. We don't all live at the same address so it isn't going to work for us.
Our dates don't coincide with yours unfortunately, though thank you for the offer. It looks like we may well stay on site so will go for a room and ticket package.
Also, thank you Thaliel for your helpful advice.

you need your passport or some kind of photo ID. Its a very easy process, and shouldn't take too long midweek.

I was reading the terms and conditions about the pass, "Those aged under 18 wishing to purchase an Annual Passport must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or tutor, or have written parental permission." My friend I'll be going with will be 17, will a written letter from her parents do?

We had to do this 2 weeks ago. In addition to the parental permission, you will need a copy of the parent's passport.
