Elaine is correct, the price for AP's generally go up by about €10/year but as the prices for a stay at DLP go up, then your discount margin also goes up! ;)

What is a annual passport? Is it a special thing?

You can buy temporary AP's and still get any discounts for booking hotels, when you buy one over the phone they will give you an AP number then at the park gates you buy all your ap's, go to the passport bureau and they will then make up your final AP's although when we went in April, it took over 1½ hours to get them processed.

After reading a few posting on here I am a bit concerned about buying annual passes for my nieces. We do not share the same name and they live in England whilst I am in Holland. I read somewhere about permission being needed from their mum's - is that so? any info would be great as I don't want to run into problems when we get there. Also, do we need to be showing proof of address, or just passports? as they are aged 11,12 and 16 they may not really have anything official.
Thanks for any extra info.

yes, you will need a letter from their parent giving permission for them to get an annual pass. Don't worry though, you can still buy them their passes as long as you have this letter. Only their passports (and yours) are needed for ID purposes when you are buying the passes.

Thanks Elaine! this forum and you are a life saver! I would never have known that otherwise and am not sure what we would have done once we got there without a letter of permission!. I guess just  a simple :"i name of mum, give permission to my name to purchase annual passes for names of girls" would be sufficient?
sorry for the trillion questions - I have been to dlp many times, but always on a package and this is my first time buying ap's and don't want to get anything wrong - plus this is the first time the 3 girls have ever been abroad and they are all sooooooo excited to be going to disney, i really don't want anything to go wrong!
