Hey
I am just curious about how you do disney?
(I hope this is the right topic)

How long do you stay and how much time do you spend in the parks, hotel etc.

I usually go for 3 or 4 days. Stay onsite and spent as much time in the parks as  possible. I only go to the hotel to sleep. I mostly Focus on rides, parades and shows and will stay up to see dreams every night. Or record is 23 rides in one day (in low season). I Dont focus on characters that much but enjoy a meet and great when the queues are short.
I tend to have one relaxed table service or buffet diner in the park and eat lunch on the go or at a quick service. When the parks close early I eat at the village after park closing.

Really looking forward to read about how you guys fill you're days. I bet it will be very different with small children or disabilities.

Hello. Our two are older children and we usually go for 4 nights in February.
For us we always stay on site and get in the park for 8:00 every morning. We then rush to a busy ride as the park opens and take it pretty leisurely from there. We don't do character meets that often. Similar to you only if there are short queues. We have lunch usually counter service do one more ride and go back to the hotel for a swim and relax just for an hour, as we find this is the quietest in the pool and busiest in the park. We then go back to the park and stay doing rides and shows till closing normally. ( with tea somewhere in there). We don't see dreams every night but love the night time atmosphere in the park so usually do rides until they close.
For our evening meal we have table service or buffet.

I am a solo traveller, I go to Disneyland California every year and Disneyland Paris about every two years.

In Disneyland Paris I stay onsite and am in the park for 8am. I do whatever rides are open , multiple times. At 10am when the other lands open I head for Pirates, then Haunted Mansion, then Star Tours. I dont do shows, parades or character meets. I usually do quick service or snack during the day and a table service in the evening. My must do restaurant is Blue Lagoon. I use the shopping service and sent my shopping back to the hotel.  I usually stay until park closing, with an afternoon break where I chill out with a book and people watch.

For Disneyland California its almost the same. I dont stay onsite so I usually get to the park just after regular opening time. Same as Disneyland Paris, I concentrate on rides and attractions and do rides multiple times in a row. I usually do only either Fantasmic or World of Colour Shows.  I always book Blue Bayou usually for a mid afternoon time, to escape the heat and crowds. I stay until park closing.

In both Disneyland Paris and Disneyland California I use single rider lines and Fast Passes

We've only done one holiday and are planning a similar one for the second time around, just at Christmas instead of in the summer holidays, and staying at DLH instead of Cheyenne.

We stayed for 4 nights / 5 days with 2 children. Breakfast at 7, then walked to the park for 8am (except one morning when my youngest did the pony ride at Cheyenne.) We did a mixture of big rides with long queues and smaller rides & walkthroughs with short / no queues. My girls dressed up most days, and it was lovely when we realised how many extra treats they got from it (straight into the fast pass queue, VIP seats for Frozen etc.)

We were only planning to do one princess meet and greet, but it was an unpleasantly hot 35o every day, and it was lovely to spend a couple of hours sat on the carpet in the cool pavilion queue. We did one character breakfast, and just enjoyed meeting the characters in the hotel. (Planning more character meals next time.)

We had half board, so we ate a big breakfast then had our main meal (buffet) at 3pm each day. With the pause gourmande, which we had as late as possible, we didn't need to pay for any other meals. We'd budgeted €100 a day, and realised on day 3 that we'd barely spent €30 in total, so we hit the shops in the village and rectified that!

We watched Dreams one night, after taking the girls back to the hotel for an afternoon nap to keep them going. Then on the last day, we arrived in the park at 8am, kept going non-stop until Dreams at about 11pm, and then went to Disney Store until long past midnight. I don't know what my girls were running on by that point, but I'm glad we made the most of every minute of our last day.

Thank you for all the comments . It is really lovely and intresting  to read al the similarities and differences. I dont think I can find the peace to just go back to the hotel or read for a hour or so. I am just to afraid to miss any valuable park time. But I should try it one time.  I always end up with a sore ankle on the last day and need to sleep for a full day after I am back because I just don't stop. What is a good place to just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere.

We usually stay on site for either 5 or 6 nights. There are 7 of us, Me, Mrs, 2x sons, 1x daughter and 2x in-laws. We alternate the parks each day, always finishing in the Studios on the last day. This is so we can head to the Village for something to eat in either Ludwigs or Rain Forrest.

The days starts with me and the youngest doing EMH, then returning to the hotel to meet with the others for a relaxed breakfast. Then its into the park, we do not plan anything and take it as it comes, soaking up the atmosphere, shops etc. Lunch in the park, the parades, shows etc then dinner.

We aim to see Dreams at the beginning of the stay, It's only me normally that goes for a second viewing as I like a little photography ;D ;D
