Hi,

Has anyone recently experienced booking the package with travel by plane on Flybe?

We have always travelled this way over the last few years to DLP and the hold luggage has always been included in the booking (15kg per person). But I have been on the airlines site to register our personal data (as requested) before we can fly in a few weeks time, and I noticed that it states "Cabin bag only"!
Then where the "extras" are I.e. pay to book your preferred seats or hire a car, the hold luggage is now listed in there. This being £22 per person each way for a 15kg suitcase!! (Other weights/prices available).

Is this a new thing with Flybe? And I'm not mistaken in anyway?!

Many thanks  :(

Slimy yet satisfying

I'm pretty sure most airlines work this way now. I have flown Easyjet, Ryanair, Air France, Hop, Thomas Cook, Thomson, KLM and Flybe in the last 8 months and are now all luggage extra for short/ medium haul flights. I think this is pretty standard outside long haul journeys. Squish it in hand luggage ifyou are going for a short break.

Thanks for the the info, I thought I was missing something when I saw it as it's never happened before and not mentioned either. A learn for next time when comparing prices of which flight to book, knowing that this will be an extra cost further down the line.  ::)
