I was literally coming on here to get opinions on a Disney tattoo I have planned and saw this post!!

Love the castle tattoo, it's amazing. Everytime you miss Disneyland you only have to look at your husbands arm to be reminded of how beautiful the castle is!

I want the traditional shape of Mickey Mouse's head but done a bit like this with the inside plain, like the big stars in the picture:

//http://media.photobucket.com/image/star%20tattoo%20designs/smashley17237/star-tattoo-pictrures_7.jpg

I would only want one and I'm not sure where to have it at the moment, I've already got one on my back and behind my ear, I was thinking the top of my leg on the side, but I'm sure I'll deliberate about it for a year before I get it done!

I got a tattoo today! My first ever! Its still covered with cling film so I can't take a picture just yet but it's off mickey mouse and its like this picture (without tinkerbell)...

to be honest it doesn't look nearly as good as this one :(  :( , which i was pretty disappointed with as they didnt do the white, they left it skin colour because appartently white fades to a yellow skin like colour after a few months anyway! :?

I haven't had a chance to have a really good look at mine yet but I may go back to get a few things done to it like perhaps trying the white and I may also get the words "it all started with a mouse" around it lol :P at least I can always get extra done to it

I'll take a picture later this evening :)

oh and teh reason i didnt get tinkerbell as well is that each tattoo artish I went to said they would have to make it a lot bigger because she was too small to put in the details! Kinda werid when the photo is a tattoo! :?

Cool Aveen! I think the idea of the words around it is pretty cool, you should definitely do that one day 8) I have a little white in my tattoos too, my brother even more. I think you can get that done without it turning ugly.

Love the tattoo Aveen! I hope it didn't hurt too much!

I can see what they're saying about Tinkerbell. From what I can gather on that photo you posted that persons tattoo looks pretty big. It looks it's on the top right of their back and it looks to me like it's about 5/6 inches tall.

It's a shame you couldn't get it done but I'm that's better than having an out of proportion Tink with no face!

I can't wait to see the photos, please post them soon  [-o<

Hey sorry I didn't get round to posting a few pics of my actual tattoo, here it is..sorry that the pics aren't great quality, kinda hard to take it hehe...even with the self timer :P ...
this pic is slightly darker..taken without the flash...

the tattoo looks slanted in the second picture but it's not it's just the way I was standing hehe!

I have to say I do love it, although thinking about it now I probably should have had him on the other shoulder with the way his hand is pointing but it doesnt really matter, I do want to add something to him but not sure what yet :D

it is a nice tattoo aveen and yes they are addictive lol Hmm thinking of what you could add to him, maybe a few stars around his left hand (the raised one) or something to show him sprinkling magic dust or something like that lol

I would get a stitch one but I would be unsure about it now as it would probably cost a lot and wouldnt go back to the place I got my first one as the person who did mine had her mates there and was talking to them quite a bit which kinda ticked me off.

The black on his ears has badly faded, I dont know if it had something to do with the fact blue was put ontop of the black to create the shading but i will probably have to get it fixed which is annoying.

Danny - whats ur tattoo off?

Have you had a check-up at the tattoo shop already? The place where I always get my tattoos, always makes an appointment for about 4/5 weeks later when it's all healed. If there is any fading or so then, they fix it for free. But not all shops do that here.

Oh my! that has faded really badly.
How was it when healing? because it could be from when it's scabbed over and its been knocked off before its fully healed because that takes the ink out of the skin.
Thats my only thoughts on how its possibly happened.

Hi Laura, I agree it must have happened that way, it healed quickly and fine, really had ni problem with it. Very little scabbing too. But he told me to rub  cream into it 7 times a day for 12 days and I think they didnt help when it was scabbing and I actually reduced it when I noticed colour fading but it still ket fading. I will hopefully get it fixed next week!

Thats a lot of times to rub stuff into it! and for a lot of time!
What cream did he tell you to use?
Because a lot of creams can actually reduce the colour too, I use Bepanthan lol! the baby - nappy rash stuff, and use it about 3/4 times a day. Basically rub a decent amount into the tattoo then when it starts to dry out again put some more on.
Vaseline and Tattoo Goo tend to take some of the colour out I've found, and it was confirmed by my tattooist.
None of my tattoos have ever scabbed over and the last 2 I got healed within about 5 days.

He'd better mean for free, because if not that's just terrible because its his job to fix something he's not done right.

OMG!! I just saw the picture of your tattoo Aveen and that is shocking!

Ive had mine for about 7-9 months now and its not faded in the slightest and Im soo surprised at how bad yours has.

I really hope you can get it sorted for free as I would kick up such a fuss about it, as it kinda looks like you got a very very good tattoo transfer hahaha (no time to joke I know)

I wish my tattooist was as good as yours as mine was some girl who chatted to her mates in the room where they do the tattoos (not very professional) I didnt sign a form, they didnt ask for ID (which I always get asked even if it is for fags for my mum and Im 22 lol) and they didnt tell me to put cream or anything on it so I didnt, they didnt even tel me to remove the tissue that covered it after so long to let it breathe so when I did it hurt quite a lot. Kind of the reason I aint got another tattoo.

What a bad experience Stitch, I assure you not all tattoo places are like that. The place where I get mine done gives you a list of all the care you need to do, including how to clean and wash, it with every visit.

I've just the picture of you tattoo Aveen, that's dreadful I hope you manage to get it sorted and restored back to its former glory. I think it might be down to the amount of cream they told you to use. I was told to use cream (I use savlon personally) two, three or four times a day depending on how often it dries out and to only do this for a week, or less if the tattoo has scabbed over completely.

Good luck

Oh sorry I forgot to post a pic. The guy who did my tattoo originally messed me about for about 2 weeks and so my friend went to him and told him if he didnt refund me for the mess he had done (which other tattooist said it was awful) that we would go to the local paper! So he gave me £40 of the £60 back! To be honest i am surprised he gave anything back! I had to put another £20 to that to get it done somewhere else but now it looks great. This photo of it was taken the evening it was done thats why it looks a bit dirty etc but that was just as I didnt want to rub it....

that first tattoo of the castle is amazing!!! i would absolutly love to have something like that between my shoulder blades. i have so many ideas for tats i want, would love to have faith, trust and pixie dust on my feet. "faith, trust" on one "pixie dust" on the other.

i have a tat of 4 different mickeys on my wrist. its like a band that goes halfway around. all 4 are sat down next to one another and they have different expressions. i will take a photo later and post it.

loving the tattoo's. I havent any disney ones yet... my fear is that they wont draw it right.
I have one tattoo going up my hip around my ribs and back and im getting my second full back one done in  the next few months.

I just worry that because people know what the picture is meant to be if its not 100% right it'll be spotted straight away.

Aveeno, so glad you got a partyial refund and fixed - looks great with the white. Im shocked by the fading the first time!!!

madame_leota my 5 year old just saw your tattoo and said "ah class a mickey tattoo" haha i think he likes it too

I know the feeling. It's probably a good thing that I don't have any money (and what little I do have goe's on Disney trips) because I'd probably be covered head to toe in tattoo's by now! At least it makes me prioritise which ones I actually want. Plus I change my mind so often that I only get the ones that stick with me. Currently I'm thinking of getting 'When you wish upon a star' somewhere.

Now I've been talking to my flat mates who have tattoos recently... and Since he's just had SkullCandy earphones with the lead spelling out "MUSIC IS LIFE"... We went through a list of things I have wanted over the years all of which we're drop kicked to touch by my friends...

They suggested I went Disney/Pixar... But traditional Logos wouldn't work... Until someone mentioned wanting to get a Geko- and there it was...

I've always wanted a Cheshire Cat tattoo, a Lock, Shock and Barrel tattoo and a Zero tattoo.
They'll have to wait though as I've not got the money atm.
(and I want to get a sakura and gears piece done on my left wrist before I get the Disney ones done :D)

I have 4 tattoos atm (a celtic dragon, a Chinese dragon, an Italian fire lizard and Lenore, the cute little dead girl from the comic by Roman Dirge) but none of them are of Disney characters I'm afraid.

One day I'll get all the Disney tats I want though! :)

My very first tattoo was of Dopey from Snow White. It has personal meaning to me, because that was my nickname in high school. I still love the tat, but since it was my first tattoo I didn't really know what to expect. You may have the perfect idea for a tattoo, but please do research on the artist that will be putting something permanent on your body.
