Title: Indiana Jones and the Lost Expedition
Post by: Anthony on February 11, 2006, 01:04:23 PM
Back in the 1980s, the Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland Resort was originally proposed to be far, far bigger than it finally turned out.  It would have featured the jeep adventure along with a mine train roller coaster, with the Disneyland Railroad and Jungle Cruise also travelling through the same showbuilding at some point.

Take a look at these amazing plans and photos:

Looks pretty awesome, don't you think?  The reason in particular that I'm posting this is because this seems to be what our Paris attraction should have been like.  On the old original souvenir map of the park, which showed future expansions such as the Discoveryland restaurant, Little Mermaid, etc., the Indiana Jones attraction showed both a mine train coaster and the jeep safari.  It's a shame it never worked out that way, but then I dread to think what this entire original project would have cost!!  :o
