I suppose twinkle lights don't really count as effects, but I'll include them anyway for the sake of thoroughness.

Main Street U.S.A.:
The overhead cash carrier track at the Emporium -
Twinkle lights in Main Street's and the castle's trees -
Liberty Arcade Statue of Liberty Tableau -

Frontierland:
The torches in Smuggler's Cove (I think it's called) -

Fantasyland:
Alice's Curious Labyrinth — pop-up figures +
Alice's Curious Labyrinth — pink and blue lights in hedges -
Alice's Curious Labyrinth — smoking caterpillar  -?

Adventureland:
Tiki birds in Colonel Hathi's +/-
The phone near the Cool Zone or whatever the former currency exchange huts are called +

The fiber optics in the castle tapestries were working a few months ago. Oh and David, the geysers are unfortunately a big fat minus at the moment.

By the "lava rocks" in Discoveryland, do you mean the pink "Giants Causeway" rocks at the entrance?  Its just that I've never seen a fire effect there before... when does that happen?

The fire effect at the Discoveryland entrance rocks has not worked for many years ,you can still see the pipes under the water which provided the effect of flames coming out of the water ! I was told the ducks swam too close ,and you can imagine the scene !!! Not very Disney !!

Yep, there are about 3 or 4 places, where if you hit a target 1-5 times (depends which one) the effect moves the reveal another higher scoring target.  My last trip, many of these were not working. How will I ever get my score over 600,000 at that rate (best score so far 589,400)

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned the use of Pepper's Ghost.

Pepper's Ghost was first used in Victorian times to create see-thru ghosts on stage.  It is used (obviously) in the Phantom Manor during the banquet/ball scene but also in the Pinocchio ride!

Some may have missed this, but as you turn the final corner you can see the Blue Fairy floating over "real boy" Pinocchio's bed.  Then she disappears.  Very simple but effective special effect!

So much red in the list. That´s sad.   Great is that raptor check the effects for us  =D>

I´m happy that the orbitron elements were all on. I was a bit disapointed last time. There was just moving hm 2 of the 3 parts or so. Not a nice planet circulation show.

I've updated the list with a few things I was able to check and threw in a few new things that need to be fixed.  :)

Fantastic news! I only hope they will remain on forever, and not stop working again after a few weeks!

It does seem that the "broken" effects are returning to the park one by one. Hopefully one day we'll see a park with all effects working!

Amazing news comes from Dash on Disney Central Plaza.  He says that a special department has been brought to life at DLRP that will be responsible of indexing all lost effects and fixing them.

Currently the smoke effects in Frontierland (Big Thunder Mountain and Phantom Manor) are being restored, which will hopefully lead to the restoring of all smoke effects in POTC as well. Next will be the fountains in POTC, both inside the attraction as outside.

And last but not least, all the gas torches in Adventureland are being fixed as well.  =D>  =D>  =D>

Updates:

- DLRR: On board sound working great, just a shame about the stupid CM interrupting every few seconds and the Discoveryland intro playing as we were at Fantasyland.
- Boardwalk Candy Palace: Never even noticed these before, but the little balloon props in the right-hand corner were going up and down! Store looked amazing.
- SMM2: Smoke was there one day, but none at all yesterday.
- Nautilus: You can see water bubbling slightly in the lake, but nowhere near full force it should be
- Taniere du Dragon: I think there was a little fog. Dragon didn't seem as ferocious as I remember... A bit sleepy? lol
- Tea Cups: Hanging lanterns were lit at night, but they seem very faded and dirty, nowhere near as bright as they should be
- IASW: Globe fountain was on, but no water was running down the side facing Pizzeria Bella Notte.
- Fort Comstock closed all weekend (WHY?! That damn bin!) and no torches. Two scenes on your right as you enter (Buffalo Bill and the bedroom) seemed to have been freshened up, though they'd replaced Buffalo Bill's hair (bright silver) but not his beard (dirty yellow)... I'll find the photo.. lol)
- BTM: Animals all working, Steam engine by the lifthill had working "fire" AND smoke coming out the top (never seen that before). Dynamite lift hill all working I think.
- Fuente del Oro: Pretty sure the fountain was on
- No geysers
- Aladdin: Fountain inside working, scaffolding and tarps covering outside - entire waterway between here and Main Street still dead for now
- POTC: No torch fire, entrance sign massively damaged and dirty, most things inside working great except the duelling pirates who didn't have any sound of clinking swords. Outside exit fountain working.
- Indy: Two huge torches in front of the attraction working this weekend (nighttime)

Just some extras:

- Cottonwood Creek windmill was turning (is this an effect or a real windmill? I honestly can't remember seeing it turning before)
- IASW Postshow: Exit passageway just been repainted, but inside NONE of the animated scenes are lit properly (except one): only the video is playing, none of the background scenes illuminated. One even had the words "FAN ERROR" projected next to the video clip... Attraction itself is running wonderfully.

Yes... If I'm not mistaken, the message usually comes down to "please remain seated and keep your hands and arms inside the train, thank you..." Which sounds like something that could be worked into the recorded spiel, doesn't it? And if it's already in there but not URGENT enough or not bilingual (I don't remember), then it would still be saner to change the recording than to physically repeat it at every station every day.

They could get that pleasant male voice again — if the bearer of said voice isn't dead or retired, that is. Or is that taking jobs away from French workers? Loud, boisterous, bored-sounding French workers... (I know, they're just doing their job...)

I was wondering this at the weekend... what happened to him? You still hear him talking about getting your hand stamped at the exit, but they mustn't have had any new recordings from him for 10 years or more. I'd much prefer if parades were announced by a friendly American voice rather than with a disjointed accent and all the words mixed up. "In just 5 minutes will begin It's Party Time with Mickey and Friends. That's in just 5 minutes" does not make sense!

But yes, the DLRR cast members were interrupting the spiel for everything from "Please remain seated" (not entirely their fault) to "In Frontierland you can find the mine train". The annoying thing is that there's plenty of room between the spiels to announce things like "remain seated", but they just obviously haven't been told to do that.

Getting a little off topic now (may start one) but i tried doing an onride video both august and halloween time and interrupted by either screaming kids or castmembers saying "please remain in your seats, next station is ......" when it could be mixed into the sound track in gentle voice "Welcome aboard the DLRR, our next station is ______, Please, for your safety remain seated until the train comes to a complete stop" kinda BTM style :P

I was just editing a video of the Dance Time show and there's some woman from Guest Flow screeching at the start for people to move. I'm not sure if it's just because I'm not French that it always sounds so horribly shrill and unpleasant, though... if an English person shouted in English like that, how would it sound?

The thing about the railroad is that all the warnings - smoking, standing up, etc are all included in the actual narration. It's just a case of CMs being a bit robotic and going OTT on how they were trained. At Le Pays des Contes de Fées for example, I was the only person in the queue, there were empty boats going around, the CM still points me to sit in the boat in front with some other group. I smile nicely and sort of say... can I go in the next boat? .. and all I got was *robotically* "the middle row..." Why?! There is an EMPTY boat right there!

Don't get me started on the ToT CMs who confuse "creepy" with sleazy and plain rude... we're way off topic now.

You're right about that disjointed accent. It shouldn't be too difficult to find a native speaker. An American, preferably, as it seems to befit the park, or a Briton who does a passable impression (hey, it worked for the Australian accent on Crush).

There are two other spiels that aren't handled very respectfully, by the way; the ones on the riverboats. They get cut off or played at the wrong moment or not played at all. Which is too bad, because they're hilarious.

Spiels are great, really. You're listening to something that was created by those clever Imagineers; it's their narration to their visuals. Or at least it feels that way. You don't get that with "in Frontierland you will find the mine train."

The animatronics on BTM always work when i am there , the head's move up and down. And when we go up a hill , there's this tree and there's 2 ravens/blackcrows in it looking over as you go by.

It would be great if the Geysers are working, because I've seen them only once in 2000.

Sorry, wrong colour... They were NOT working.     Last time I've seen them working was on 3 February 2007.  They had just fixed the big geyser which hadn't worked in years.

There's a picture of that day on Photos Magiques in the Boot Hill album (//http://www.photosmagiques.com/gallery/disneyland_park/frontierland/boot_hill.php).

Ah, I wondered why you hadn't mentioned it! The geysers are my favourite effect in the park. Very disappointing to see them completely inactive. It's strange that they fixed it for that one day in 2007 though. Is there a reason for them being inactive?

I just made an interesting find. When we rode BTM last week I noticed something I didn't see before. On the second climb there is a kettle on the left side, right before the steam engine.  And there was a little bit of smoke coming out of this kettle! Not very much, just a little. The following days I always looked very good at this kettle but there was no smoke any more (although I noticed a small pipe leading into the kettle from below), so I wasn't too sure that what I saw was indeed a real effect and not something else ...

Now imagine my surprise when today I was digging through one of my old 1992 guidebooks and I find this great picture:

(//http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/2773/btm1992.jpg) (//http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/1080/btm1992large.jpg)

Click for larger size

If you look closely there is actually a lot of smoke coming out of this kettle!!! And in addition to that there is also smoke coming out of the chimney of the building left to it:

What great details!!! And I am so glad I found this pic to prove I wasn't mistaken!

So what do you think, should we not add both effects to the list??

BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN

- Smoke coming out of kettle (Nicolai, 01 June '09)
- Smoke coming out of chimney (Nicolai, 01 June '09)

I was just as surprised. And who would have guessed that the little Sleeping Beauty fountain upstairs and that elusive waterfall were in fact one single water system. Quite lovely!

Another thing they've finally fixed: The dozens of broken (and missing) flickering-flame lights in the castle chandeliers.

It's just too bad that every time you spot something that's working, something else isn't. The dragon was in a terrible state. No smoke at all, the little light in the back of his throat wasn't working, and his eyelid had come off and was hanging over his right eye. I doubt they've fixed it by now.

Without the smoke, the dragon is surprisingly dull, I have to say. Not very menacing to say the least. Without smoke or fire, what exactly makes it a dragon?! It's like a big growling dog on a chain this way.

Here's a photo of the waterfall when it worked on New Year's Eve 2004.  It's hard to make out on this photo, but the lower part is actually were the staircase is.

I guess you meant the rain effect where the skeleton is turning the wheel, I hadnt noticed it until this week, i thought it was a great special effect. Or is it the bit where you get physically wet as you go through the grotto ( this was working too  :D   )

That's terrible. It's like buying Star Wars toys but keeping them in the wrapper so they become collector's items. You need a break from all this, a holiday in fact. I know a good place just outside of Paris. It's got a castle, some really cool rollercoasters, friendly Cast Members ..............

It's surprising they haven't with this recent surge in fixing effects. It's one of the most major effects of the park, my favourite in fact. Perhaps there's a good excuse... though I find the "dangerous for birds" thing hard to believe.

Ben-J over at DCP informs us about the geysers:

Quote from: "Ben-J at Disney Central Plaza"Une rehab est prévue mais coutant excessivement cher pour ce que c'est (je ne décrie pas la beauté des geysers bien au contraire je suis le premier à souhaiter les revoir fonctionner mais malheureusement nous avons beaucoup trop d'autres priorités) elle risque d'être repoussée éternellement.
Putting it through a translator, I got that a refurb is planned for the geysers but it will be expensive and may be postponed indefinitely. There are other things that have priority at the moment.

That's a real shame, seems like they no longer treat the Rivers like an attraction in iteslf. At Disneyland in California there is a whole AA village of indians that you can only see from the train, the Mark Twain and the Canoes (and when I was a kid, there was a real burning cabin and a huge waterfall too). DLP always felt let down in comparison, but the geysers made it special and unique, especially as there are none in Big Thuder per se (like in DL, WDW and TDL)

Some good news from this weekend.

- The dragon was breathing smoke again!
- The caterpillar in Alice's Curious Labyrinth is smoking again! *edit* I see someone spotted the effect working in the beginning of July as well. It didn't work when I was there in that period, but good news nonetheless.
- The Columbiad on Space Mountain was recoiling on Sunday. The smoke was also working, but that's nothing new.
- The animatronic chickens in the baskets underneath the Hyperion are back, and working.

However...

- The Columbiad was no longer recoiling yesterday, and the hatch isn't moving;
- The Buzz Lightyear Animatronic is still stationary. The projection of his face is working, though.

I'm starting to believe the rumors about the special effects unit. Things are looking pretty good.

QuoteI'm starting to believe the rumors about the special effects unit. Things are looking pretty good.

This is how it works:

- First, ride and land managers & team leaders can now request refurbishments of effects, façades, whole attractions etc. In the past, these things were checked once every while by the maintenance department, but it's a big park and a small department, so... (The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster responsible personally requested the September refurb by e-mail)

- Secondly, every morning, a team of managers go through the parks with a photo camera and take pictures of things that are broken, unclean, etc. and these are then send to the responsible departments.

 :)

Excellent. And they're aware of all effects? Even ones that haven't worked for years? I mean, it's easy to spot a broken smoke effect on a figure holding a hookah, but would these people know about the flaming fountains or the birds at Colonel Hathi's?

Oh and I forgot to mention an effect that's working again — the light in the dragon's throat.

It's a pity that loyal fans, and regular visitors couldn't contact the maintenance department directly, and make suggestions as to what needs fixed. As this is the age of the mighty i for interaction, this would be a great way for everyone to feel that they had some level of involvment as to how the park should look

Mike Wagner! That's the name I wanted! Thank heavens for the Disneyland Railroad spiel.

The new voice isn't English or American as far as I can tell, which makes it sound slightly distorted and unfriendly (often getting the words in the wrong other doesn't help), and indeed in some cases new events this Summer have been introduced by their own show director Emmanuel Lenormand, which sounds even worse and incredibly cheap.

Some kind of "Voice of Disneyland Paris" competition would be good publicity, wouldn't it?

As for the checklist, I noted the same as RNRCj, plus:

Videopolis
- Flashing lights on spires on façade (1 September '09)

Castle
- Turning spinning wheel (1 September '09)

Frontierland
- Waterfall near Indian village (I saw this working, but a few days before you RnRCj, so that's a bit disappointing if it's broken again) On a side note, the tepees themselves look awful, as if they're about to rot away.
Title: Re: Disneyland Park effects and details checklist
Post by: RnRCj on September 08, 2009, 05:19:46 PM
^Both the spinning wheel and the flashing spires were not working when I was there. Or do the flashing spires only work at night? That was a problem with several of the effects I checked - I wasn't sure whether they only operated at night.

And I agree about the teepees. They were filthy. As I approached Frontierland I actually saw some guests walking around the teepees and I got a little over-excited thinking they were open... turns out those guests had gone through the "Cast Members only" door.

There seemed to be some problems with waterfalls during my visit. I mentioned this is my trip report - a lot of waterfalls were not working, like the ones at Skull Rock, La Cabane, Colonol Hathi's, Fantasia Gardens, the one near Hakuna Matata, and the one at the Indian Village.

Post by: Anthony on September 08, 2009, 05:49:32 PM
Spinning wheel was definitely working 31st August (that's when I should have dated those, Monday), tsk.

All the Adventureland waterfalls were definitely turned off on that Monday too, after working perfectly fine before. DLP.info mentions something about the lower lagoon being drained slightly too, so perhaps there's actually just some maintenance happening there.

I was happy to see water running from Frontierland to Adventureland, even if the tepees were filthy. Back in April it was dry and full of leaves. The park as a whole is looking fan-tastic.

But as well as the tepees, it's about time Adventureland Bazaar (Central Plaza side) got a major repaint.

Torches weren't working either.

That wasn't negativity... Just makes me laugh that these have apparently been fixed all at once.

If anything saying "I just hope the recoil effect still works when I am there in 15 days" is negative. I mean, it's not like we have evidence that this effect won't last more than 14 days...

The moving elements on the Small World facade is great to hear in particular though. With the Old Mill turning and the Labyrinth given lots of attention, the land has really done well this year.

Yay for the improvements. And yes, let's not forget the Labyrinth... A big sigh of relief there. And the Treehouse. A small sigh of relief there.

As for the geysers, the thing with them is that they're such a major effect — not like little twirling windmills on a facade or a pair of shifty eyes on a Cheshire cat that you would never miss unless you were a hardcore fan. With the geysers lying dormant, there's a full three minutes of awkward nothingness on every single riverboat tour. Frankly it's embarrassing.

I absolutely love DLP, and I have done for so long now, but my last trip, January09 was the first trip that I have had where I felt that the place was loosing its magic...

With Disney Parks, it really is the little things that make all the difference, that make it so special and magical, but it appeared to me last year that they were starting to loose interest in the little things...

As I posted in the 'Alice' topic, just back and I was very upset with the parks general upkeep of effects. Loads of smoke on Space Mountain, one day, none the next. I know the re-coiling of the cannon has been on and off for years, so expected that, even inside so many lights and effects not working. Over at Pirates, quite a few un-animated pirates slumped over.. Star Tours and HISTA just looking very very aged. I honestly believe the standard has slipped, unfortunetly.

I have to disagree, I also just came back and to my surprise I found many things working that I haven't seen for quite some time:

Starting with POTC, the Mayor was finally (!) spitting water again, the duelling Pirates are working great and have been moved even closer together, their swords touching regularly, you can hear them touching a lot - also their sound effect was working the whole week, so the overall effect was really great! They looked better then they have for a long time! Also the Octopus is back and looked great!! He was missing for over a year and had been replaced with something else so I feared we might not see him back at all, and he was back and looking great and moving and everything, so I was really pleased!! In Phantom Manor Madame Leota's table was finally floating again, the ballroom scene looked great and some days (not all sadly) there was even fog coming from the crypt behind the singing busts. The lighthouse in front of POTC was burning every (!) evening the whole week (from Sunday to Saturday), same goes for the torches at Adventureland entrance and the ones in front of the Indiana Jones temple (don't know if the fires at the stairs worked though, as it wasn't open when we wanted to ride in the dark)!! The Dragon was in awesome shape too, in her cave there were drops from the ceiling and fog on the water, haven't seen that for some time too and especially pleasing after seeing her in such bad shape last June. Oh, and in the studios in RNRC there was plenty of smoke and the light show was pretty amazing too.

True, there were also effects broken that have worked before, but seeing some of the things working that I almost lost hope to see again, like the Mayor spitting water or the duelling pirates easily makes up for all of them!

Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the work of the maintenance team, especially as last year the budget must have been really tight with all the cost cut backs the Resort had to make.

Yeah I no what you mean, somethings were working that I hadn't seen before, and Pirates seemed to be a lot better than it used to (I hadn't been on it since 2007).

But there are still lots of effects that aren't working.

NOTHING working on Orbitron
Space Mountain, no smoke or cannon retract on launch.
Small world facade, hardly anything working! (though like Pirates, the ride itself seemed better than last year), there seemed to be a lot more dolls in there and lights and other stuff.)

I dont if this is a part of 'cutting back costs' but on some days certain effects weren't working, but they were the day after, and so on. Though they could just be repairing them quickly.

Quick question, why was the swining pirate removed and replaced with a smoke machine?

That's a new one on me too SM:M3!  It doesn;t look like much fun sitting at that green table being blasted with smoke all day long!  (Admittedly I love the smell of dry-ice smoke!)

Not many people had seen the smoking Excalibur Stone until I posted it on here a few months back.

That is actually an effect that worked almost every time I've been to the park.  It's also included in our checklist.  It only blast a bit of smoke when the Dormouse pops up.

In a different note, I've edited the checklist with things I've noticed working/not working the past weekend.

The window in the castle with the rose and the doves is working again.

About the water system in the Treehouse — I'm not exactly sure what should be working that isn't, but water was flowing all the way from the top of the tree, by way of a bamboo mill, to the drinking fountains below. Is this news in any way or is there some long-gone system of weights and pulleys that I'm missing?

The dragon was working perfectly for a change, although I do miss the little light in the back of its throat. Without it, the smoke isn't illuminated.

And speaking of lights, I regret to say that CFLs are starting to take over. They're even in the Disneyland Hotel chandelier now, which looks awful. I really wish they'd be doing more with halogen and LED to replace tungsten, which are far less hideous and shed far superior light. But I suppose Disney as a whole is in hot water about that issue.

Not sure if this is a new effect, a really old effect that was just fixed, or if it is something that I had just never noticed before and it just isn't listed; however, one of the Tepees in the Indian Village was giving off puffs of smoke every so often:

(//http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4126/5195655027_764cb05a7c.jpg) (//http://www.flickr.com/photos/peterpanfan1953/5195655027/)

Also, noticed a lot of "background" sound changes on Main Street... at the Dentist in Town Square, the side street on the Discoveryland side (Is that Flower Street?) and outside Victoria's Home Style Restaurant... they were MUCH louder than I ever remember them being and at least the Dentist one is completely different from what it was a few months ago.  Also, in the Roundup Village there were also new (at least I had never heard them before) background sounds of saws sawing, goats bleating, and other various things.

This was all seen on Nov 13th, 2010

The smoke coming from that teepee is an old effect, long out of order, which was brought back this summer.

The volume of several Main Street window sounds has indeed been turned up, but they're still the same that have been there since park opening. Most of them (especially the dentist school) play a loop of several different "scenes" though, so it's well possible that you hadn't heard that particular bit before.

Few things I noticed during my trip this weekend....
POTC - swinging pirate still missing but smoke effect on by pirate with knife in his mouth near the swinging pirates location.  Pirate balancing between boats before 2nd drop is back (he was missing in October) but his pile of hats are NOT on his head but behind him on some boxes!!!  The peeping bride in the barrell is also back but the dog is still missing but his bark can be heard.  Also the captain of the Wicked Wench seems to have been silenced as he is not speaking his lines!

OK, so its only two things.  Im sure there were a couple more but I cant remember them now

Yeah he's still not there. The mechanism for him has gone as well.

Also, not a lot working on Space Mountain at the minute. No smoke, no retracting cannons and hardly any lights at night. The dome wasn't lit up at all.

On a light note, in general the park seemed to have a lot more stuff working, and I guess the smoke machine people have been about (apart from Space Mountain) as lots of smoke effects everywhere!

Oh, and the steaming drain outside BTM, is that an effect? Or something gone wrong!?lol

in the first week of January we rode SM several times I found the interior effects to be in very good condition,  (but no smoke or recoil, of course) strange how this can change in such a short period of time.

The pirate seems to be in refurb a lot, but I'm sure he will return. He was there and swinging on one of our stays last year, not sure which one, I think January 2010, but not sure. And that was already after the smoke effect appeared, so the smoke is not ment as a replacement for him. POTC has a 25 day refurb in March, I guess they will return him then. I'll be there right after the refurb, so I will check myself and report it here :-)

But why would such a simple effect need to be refubed all the while?

Quotein the first week of January we rode SM several times I found the interior effects to be in very good condition, (but no smoke or recoil, of course) strange how this can change in such a short period of time.

The interior was fine for us too, its just the exterior that was bad. Including the large Space Mountain facade/picture, which had curled up at all the corners, and looked like an old poster. Though they had sorted it (ish) by the end of the week.

One other thing, its now 2 years in a row that the green lights in the wall in Phantom Manor haven't been working. The ones that follow you past the doors and grandfather clock before floating head scene. Have they been removed?

[youtube:jssucwse]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NqNeI4GgRM[/youtube:jssucwse]

Regarding the Discoveryland lava pools, the bubbles are broken already... :( There was plenty of water flowing over the rocks, though.

Some other effects I'd noticed broke or turned off were rivers... the one coming out of the Aladin walkthrough wasn't on, the river running in front of fort Comstock was turned off, with small pools of stagnating water here and there... and also, a stream up near Colonel Hathi's wasn't working.

Don't know if this classes as an effect, but a good few of the floor mounted area loop speakers are broken in every land and Fantasia gardens.

Oh, and the small bulbs on the Disneyland Hotel and the gazeebo's in Fantaisa Gardens were in a very poor condition. One of the Gazeebos was completely dark and the DLH was only lit on the left hand side. The ones on Main Street though, were at quite a good standard. All but 2 or 3 of the Gas Lamps weren't lit though... *sigh* the little things that make the Disney difference...

I'm happy to say that probably thanks to Disney Dreams, most if not all of the torches and gas lamps on Main Street/around the Central plaza area (Frontier/Adventureland entrances) are working. I think this is due to the fact that they all get turned off for dreams and then they're all re-lit simultaneously after it's finished. Either that or they've just gone around fixing all the pilot lights :P
Oh and does anyone know what's happened to the gas pump at main street motors?? It's seemed to have disappeared.
The steaming cup on Coffee grinder advert wasn't working.
I swear that every single bulb on every building on Main Street was working, too... (and on one of the popcorn stands on Central Plaza! The other one was completely dark, though.)
Also, all rivers around fort Comstock are working again, and the one up by colonel Hathi's.

the Geyser don't work anymore, they look a bit  ugly now. The Old Mill ferris wheel is still there in Fantasyland, but Disney finally closed the ride and removed the bucket seats in a refurbishment last year, it's now just a counter service restaurant, looks good though.

Well Orbitron is still spinning more than a month on :P
One thing that stood out to me this past couple of days is lights. There's so many of them broken everywhere!
At fantasia gardens there are quite a lot not on, the two gazebos either side might as well be turned off... and the marquees at the entrance under the hotel are quite frankly a joke... (fixed now though   )
Moving on into the park, lights under the station were all working but are modern bulbs... no longer the antique ones that appear more orange and visually appealing. Main street facades and arcades also are mainly working properly.
Gas lamps on the other hand!! I counted three working on the street and absolutely none at all in the arcades.
On central plaza there was a visible number of lamps off including one whole side of the castle bridge.

And a final note - I hope main street station gets a refurb soon. The two ends either side of the main station were pealing and appeared rotten. Same with the station canopy. Reminded me more of some terribly neglected british train station instead of the beautiful oldy worldy turn of the century beauty that its supposed to be :(

Oh about the gas lamps on Main Street and in the Arcades. Are they working every day or just on special occasions? Or is the system itself broken?
