Title: My trip to Disneyland Paris! April 27th-30th!
Post by: Masamune on July 01, 2005, 01:42:57 PM
:D This trip was my 18th birthday pressie from my mum... :P me, my mum and my cousin went for 4 days to Disneyland Paris! We went to the main park on the day we arrived, then went home in the afternoon on the 30th. We got to spend 3 days in the parks, and the last day was just to explore... :) we spent most of our time in the Disney Village on that day.

:o Loads of pictures were taken... XP mostly of me, so I apologise for that...my mum doesn't like taking pictures unless I'm on them.

:) We all had a great time... :P we got into Pin Trading, and spent a good few hours JUST looking for pins! The weather was too hot, so we didn't want to que up in lines for too long... ^^ the longest we waited in a line was 45 minutes, for Space Mountain: Mission 2... ;) it was well worth the wait though!

:P One of the best parts of the trip was on the last day in the park...me and my mum were in Fantasyland, and it was about 7:30pm so the park was closing... :) we decided to take the long walk round to get back to Main Street, so we walked towards It's A Small World to walk round there... and I saw Eeyore! And Prince John! And the Queen of Hearts! About 10 characters in all, just dancing around near It's a Small Wotld, and there was only about 20 other people there! XD So I got pictures took with all of them, got some autographs, had a dance with Friar Tuck and a chat with the guy playing Bert, who said he was from Bristol! That made me laugh so much...

^_^ Anyway, here's all the pics I uploaded... :P enjoy! o.o Sorry that they're all in different sizes and such... XD for some reason, they just came out that way...

Thanks for posting all those photos!  :D  It's interesting how many rides you can make your own on-ride photos on.

That shot of Space Mountain *is* very very cool!  The angle it's taken from really emphasises the launch - you can almost picture the rocket trains shotting up into the sky...  :D

 I'm glad someone agrees... :P my mum loves the Phantom Manor ride...personally, I don't think it's worth going on if there's a big que for it...the same with the Peter Pan ride...

I'm not with you there! I think Phantom Manor is one of the best rides (with POTC) at DLRP, even with a big que i have to have done that ride at least once!

o.o; What exactly is good about it? It's not scary or exciting or anything... X_x the bit at the beginning isn't pleasant, being squished against random people in a dark room. :( And it's all in French...at least the American version has Vincent Price's voice as the narrator...

I'm not saying it's a bad ride...I do enjoy parts of it, like the bit where the ghosts are dancing in the ballroom... ^^; I just don't think it's worth waiting in a que for more than 10 minutes...

No, the banging with your head during a Space Mountain ride is nice (!) So you'll have a very bad headache and pain on the whole left side of your face all day and next day long (!) I think that's far worse, then standing for a very short time together in a dark room.

Come on Sweetlaker, help me out here. Tell her what's good about the Phantom Manor Ride!

I guess you don't like the kind of music i like then! Because the music of Phantom Manor is one of the best soundtracks of the attractions at DLRP... At least i think it is. I'm not saying everyone has to think it is. But i heard more people saying it though.

:P I happen to love Space Mountain, and that ride is well worth a 45 minute wait... :D I like rides that are exciting and thrilling... the Casey Junior ride is more exciting than Phantom Manor... *Loves the Casey Junior ride*

:) I don't think the music on the ride is bad...it's just a matter of it's just not worth a long wait. Like I said, it's not a crap ride...I just don't think it's worth the wait. o-o; If I'd qued up for that for half an hour, I'd be very disappointed...

.....Well said, yóu think it's not worth the wait to go on Phantom Manor. Í think it's really not worth the wait to go on Space Mountain!
I'm glad not everyone likes the same attractions otherwise we would be having very long queue times!

:P Why don't you think Space Mountain is worth the wait? :o You've got my reasons for why I don't think Phantom Manor is worth the wait, so I wanna hear your reasons for why Space Mountain isn't worth it...

:D And yes, I think it's a good thing that not everyone likes the same stuff... XP I just wish my mum didn't like the Phantom ride, then we wouldn't have to que for it at all...

I thought i already said it very short in here. It was my first ride ever on Space Mountain last week, and i hated it! I really don't like it. (also because i get sick on it easily) The banging with my head was the worst thing....that hurt a lot. When i came out of the ride, the whole left side of my head was red and painfull, especially my ear. Whole day my ear hurt and also the following day i still felt it. And i felt a bit sick too, even when i took something for it that morning before going on the ride.

So i hope these are enough reasons for you to notice that i really don't like this ride, and will never...ever go on it again!!

Never had that in Space Mountain before...  unlike Indiana Jones...  :?

Yeah I have to agree with Raptor, I never and still did not get a headache on Space Mountain, and I went on 3 times this trip, unlike Indy where I came off and my head just felt a bit dizzy, and ended up with a bit of a headache after.  Maybe Jorien you were in the last car of the Space Mountain train, that may slightly have given you some type of headache, or maybe it's just cos I am used to good olde rough vekoma coasters  .

:P I know what you mean about the head banging... my ear was all red after I got off Space Mountain: Mission 2... :D but that's only because I was holding my head forward a bit, which you're not actually supposed to do... XD I don't like pressing my head against the headrest, it's not as fun if you can't feel all the movement...

o_o; I agree the Indiana Jones ride is worse for headbanging...

:o Oh, and the best place to be on any roller coaster is the very back... 8) that way, you're getting all the force and weight of every other car making the ride a lot more exciting and powerful...

Thanks for the trip report and sharing the pictures Masamune  :D  (sorry for the late answer, lol)

I really like that shot of Space Mountain

I have to agree with some here about Phantom Manor though. Nothing can beat the feeling for me of going on Phantom Manor (and POTC), seeing all the little details and the awesome things (like the ball scene, the seance scene with Leota, the grim grinning ghost  :) ). And with the new version of Space Mountain I like the music of Phantom Manor better.

:P I guess it just depends on your own personal preference... :) in your mind, nothing can beat the feeling of going through Phantom Manor... whereas in my mind, nothing can beat the feeling of being propelled forward and going up and down and around at amazing speed through the dark...
