Title: My ideas: from 2007 to 2017!
Post by: murkai on June 19, 2007, 10:25:18 PM
2007: Toon Studios opens, with Crush's Coaster and Cars Quatre Roues Rallye.
2008: Tower of Terror and Stitch's attraction open.
2009: Fairytale Courtyard, or the Studios Castle opens, behind the Rocking Rollercoaster. It features The Beast's Castle, themed to Beauty and the Beast, and Voyage of the Little Mermaid. The idea of this area is that the princesses are making their own fairytale movies. It features Ariel's Grotto where guests can get to meet the mermaid and an action course playground, based on Mulan, open.
2010: Expansion takes place in Toon Studios, with Toy Story Mania and Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! opening.
2011: The Ice Palace opens in Fairytale Courtyard, the idea being that a studio lot has been taken over by the Ice Queen. The Studio has two attractions within it: "Soarin' Over Narnia" and "Journey into Narnia", a walkthrough showing the creation of the franchise's first three movies [presuming the series has made three movies by now].
2012: Fantasmic! opens to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Walt Disney Studios celebrations on the lake in Backlot area. Star Tours moves to the Studios to Backlot, with an improved design and grander effects.
2013: It's Tough to be A Bug and Flik's Flyers [featured in Califonia Adventure] open, in a new area, named "Animal Studios". The idea of this land is to fuse this park with Animal Kingdom. The centerpiece of the area is Tarzan's Treehouse, which houses a special Tarzan Musical Show and a area to meet Tarzan.
2014: Pride Rock Rapids opens in Animal Studios. The ride is similar to Splash Mountain, except themed to the Lion King instead.
2015:
2016:
2017: 15th Anniversary celebrations for Walt Disney Studios.

I dont think this is a problem as Disney bought the whole area 20 years ago. They have plenty of free land for another parks or hotels. The main issue is again the budget. But who knows...

Theres loads of room to the back of the studios according to google! As above, it wont be space that will be a problem, its hard to keep expandidng whilst not making profits!

is it me or does it look like there is some building activity going on behind
the disney television studios in the picture in the above Pic?

it looks the same as when they were preparing to build ToT behind armageddon.

this areas are the ones they have planned in the past for first development.
Now on one is toon studio, the ToT on the other and the third between stitch and cinemagique is free. It was planned for a new studio with something like soarin inside.
Hope they will make profit soon for the developments!

I think you forgot a muppets attraction, would love to see Muppetvision 4D at WDS, the WDW one is soooo great.

Soarin over the world instead of Narnia (I´m not a big fan of that).

Fairytale Lagoon should be part of the 3rd gate (Paris version of TDS). I know it´s never gonna happen.  :(

Agree on the rest.

Oliver

I really like this idea.
I understand that the budget may be a problem but if it did get built it would be amazing :)
I love the way you have incorparated the princesses and classic disney into it aswell it would really make the studios different and origional well done :D

Hmmm, it is good to play, but I would be unhappy if those sorts of things were built. Disney is at it's absolute best when they are not doing things with toons and create original attractions.

I always thought that if WDS got Soarin it should be soarin over Europe. Europe has so many great landmarks that would be great for a Soarin attraction. I also dont think the Studios should have a castle... ToT and the Earful Tower makes a perfect skyline for the park, a castle would just ruin it. I think the princess's should stay in the Disneyland Park and that goes for the little mermaid ride too.

Even though I would love to see Fantasmic! open in DLRP... fact is that weather wise it isnot ver attractive to open such a big show. If it goes for a copy paste from WDW it will be an open theatre for approx 8500 people, in a rainy inviorment. And with the show technics (and many show stops or cxls I have seen there) it wont be running alot of the times.

I cant realy see a smaller version (show wise) since Fant! is so amazing for all its effects and Mickey popping up on to of the mountian...
