Title: Driving to Disney - anywhere to stop for a visit/food
Post by: haribosmum on February 06, 2019, 12:26:56 PM
We're driving from Eurotunnel to Disney on a Saturday in April.  We should arrive Calais just after 11am and then we have a hotel offsite to stay in (not going to park till Sunday).  We've always just driven straight there and grabbed food in the hotel but we're staying at a different one and not so impressed with food choices there).

So I was wondering if anywhere to stop on way down a) for food -rather not just go to a Motorway services.  b) place of interest?

Theres a lovely town called Saint Omer around an hour or so from calais heading south towards paris, it has a stunning cathedral and market square with lots of nice cafe's and patisseries so can be a nice place to stop for lunch and stretch of legs. No major detour off route either to continue your journey south.
