QuoteThe rumor started today and we hadn't to wait too long to know if it was true as it was confirmed late afternoon by Disneyland Paris on Inside Ears: the beloved Cinemagique attraction will be back at DLP Walt Disney Studios Theatre, most probably this fall. It will be of course the same movie with hopefully the same in-theatre effects.
DLP did not give any details, just saying that "more information will be shared at a later stage" and it's still unclear at exactly what date the attraction will be back or for how long it will return,

This does make me happy, CineMagique is a very entertaining show and I love it. Makes me wonder, if they are bringing back fan favourites, will they one day bring back the moon? I would love to see space mountain be returned to it's former glory, together with honey I shrunk the audience. Or it might just be a budget thing, who knows.
When will Disney Dreams be back??? ;D
So does that mean for this Christmas Season that Mickeys Big Ban will be playing in what was Anamagique and Cinemamagique will also be be back in situ? Say it's so!

Excellent news!!
The most disappointing part of my last visit in June was the truely awful Marvel dance routine with the drone, Superheroes FC or whatever it was called. We're going again at the end of February. I would so dearly love Cinemagique to be up and running by then. Fingers crossed!
As much as I like Cinemagique I'm a bit disappointed to see it back so soon. It just feels like a lazy stop gap.
I hope the theatre will be used for more things going forward. Perhaps this is just a placeholder until they decide the permanent content.
Meh
We didn't see any reviews of the Marvel show, what did people think?
We saw it last week and thought it was dreadful.
We stupidly went the week it opened. Queued 2.5 hrs with kids and were sooooooooo disappointed. The show outside was just as good with guardians of the galaxy dance-off being the most and only fun thing of it all. For all the hype with marvel summer it's not something we'd ever do again plus found out at end of week we could of added the marvel package for only about 60 pounds when to start with it was over a 1000 and we couldn't book the marvel character meal or anything like that. Disneyland was awesome the marvel aspect... wish we hadn't bothered
QuoteIt will be of course the same movie with hopefully the same in-theatre effects.
This got me a bit worried. HOPEFULLY the same in-theater effects. You would think that most of those effects were removed from the theater to make place for the new show.
I hope I'm wrong though! :D
This honestly feels like it's a bit of a cheap panic move to me because the Marvel show has too many technical issues right now. They'll end it with the 25th and try to improve it for a return next summer. They wouldn't have made a big deal of Cinemagique closing (with the special tickets etc) if they planned on bringing it back so soon.
Cinemagique was always my favourite thing at the studios so honestly I'm thrilled to hear that it's coming back! Even if it's only a temporary measure till they come up with something else, I'm glad that I'll have the chance to see it again.
I'm surprised there hasn't been a meme with the CineMagique and the Thanos snap..
The show will return December 1st, '18 through February 3rd, '19.

awww, just a week too late. We're planning a trip around the 6th of december
Despite the official annoucements, the return of CineMagique has now been cancelled.
In its place, a Christmas character show.
Tbh this can only be a good thing. The theatre isn't equipped for Cinemagique and it would've been a cut down version without many of the effects. It's far better to have a new seasonal show than a rubbish version of an old show.

We don't know what was left or what was removed but is replaceable.
Hope the new show is better than the Marvel one!
Well its a festive show. It'll get by on just having familar songs and warm fuzzy feelings.
Who knows, it could be the start of a new Christmas tradition. Then again... probably not!
Do you think they'll try and shoehorn Star Wars in the show?
Well only if it means a version of this...

Well the show was never meant to return so things like the sword were definitely removed and that's not a mechanism they're going to reinstall for a temporary basis. Cinemagique was only returning as a poor stop gap so the theatre wasn't empty during Christmas season. I'm glad they've decided that wasn't acceptable.
