Title: Using HB plus voucher for a la carte items?
Post by: efh2015 on August 10, 2018, 09:15:32 PM
I've read in a couple of places that if you're using a HB plus voucher for a quick service set menu you can't order any extras, even if the total value is still lower than that of the voucher. So if you're ordering a la carte menu items, say sandwiches/salads at Market House Deli or Toad Hall, could you order a range of items that equals the €30-ish of the HB plus voucher?
Also hypothetically, if there are two of us and we spend €30 as above at lunchtime, could we then do the same again at dinner time with the other voucher?

Just trying to see what options we have, as last time doing a week of breakfast and evening buffets nearly did us in!

Unfortunately not.
The rule is one voucher per person. And each voucher is valid for a set meal. Entree main desert and 1 drink.  Or a buffet and one drink.
I dont gave any experience with using plus vouchers on counter service mails. And I don't think it is done a lot. But I know from other post that they do accept the vouchers but only for the set meals.

You can only use your vouchers at face value if you go to a higher class restaurant. Like walts or auberge
