Have heard a rumour that characters are going back to the hotels I am going 6/4/17 does any one know if this is true staying compass club Newport bay :) :) :)
Yep this has been confirmed. Along with the character breakfast moving from cafe mickeys to plaza gardens
ooh fab. Any idea when this is to happen... heading on Monday but not holding out much hope it'll be that soon!
Oooh not sure. Most of the 25 annniversary changes will be happening at the end of this month so unlikely it will be that soon

I'm assuming the characters only come out at certain times? We go next month and I can't wait!
I wonder if characters will be themed to go with each hotel.
Goofy was in his cowboy outfit at Cheyenne, etc.
Yesterday at SL cast members were standing in front of the character interaction area talking and taking photos of it, so it looked like they were planning on starting soon.
They're now back :)

Pluto was snapped at Newport a few days ago.
Anyone that's been since this started - is there a set time that the characters come out or is it pot luck??

Pluto was at sequoia lodge every day from 8:15 till 11:00 last week. it was advertised with a sign, there was a photo pass photographer there.
I'll be staying at b&b hotel in July but we will be buying annual passes (magic plus) so can we still go to the hotels and meet them if we'd like?

I read in various places that one of the reasons the characters were taken out of the hotels was because people who weren't staying in them went and had their photos taken with the characters. Also in the 25th anniversary brochure it says that meeting characters at the on site hotels is touted as a good reason for staying on site. Make of that what you will :-)

Excited about the characters being back in the hotels. Just wondering if anyone can confirm whether or not they are in special outfits themed to the hotel or not e.g sailor, cowboy etc and how long the queues seem to be?
Less or similar to those in the park on Magic hours? If they are still in the park in those early hours too?

We are going on Monday (not long now) and was just wondering how often the characters come out? And is it different ones each day or more like one character assigned to each hotel? We are staying at the New Port Bay if that helps

In May at Newport - I saw Pluto one morning then the next was Donald. Wearing their normal attire.
Was quite early -around 9am I think.
I've just spent the last few days at DLP, got home last night. I stayed at SL (not NB) and there were characters there - Pluto, Mickey, Goofy and Pluto again!
They are back, just ask at reception when and where and don't forgot to check out Disneyland Hotel for characters
