I've watched that several times and I can't tell the difference between the old and new! Maybe I need new glasses :)

Hmmm I'm still on the fence about Facelift Mickey and Minnie. Maybe its just because I grew up with the old version (and the one before that!)
Haha, I love the fact that we al have to talk about it!
Well, our faces all change, and Mickey's certainly has over the years (just look how different he was in the 60s)!!!
It's just a shame that my face doesn't change with as few wrinkles as Mickey's, lol :D
Thanks, but I still can't see the difference! Apart from the colour that is, they're lighter now.
Which side is old/new? I get it that the eyes are different but I though that the paler ones are what we have just now?
I was in Disneyland Anaheim 3 weeks ago, I swear, I didn't even notice they were the new ones, haha

The new ones are on the right.
When I first saw pics of the new faces I liked the old ones best, but now I find the new ones look more friendly.
Prefer the old version.
Well at least they look better than the 1955 originals. stuff. of. nightmares.

Ditto. ;D
As for the differences, the major change appears to be the colour layout.
The face masks have stronger shading and highlights now, the old ones (on the left) are much more flat in colour.
By adding all the subtle shading they're making them look much more alive.
They're minor changes relatively speaking, but they make the masks seem far more natural and "alive" than they did before, which is a positive thing.
Especially to a child the older look may be perceived as more frightening than the newer softer coloured version.

Couldn't agree more! Eeekkk!!!
I was paying more attention to having fun and the costumes they were wearing, then to look at their faces :P

Now you've pointed it out I can definitely see the difference between the two faces, the new ones are more welcoming.
Are the new ones eyes and mouth are finally moving?
No they're not.

Only the one appearing at "Mickey and the magician" moves his mouth and blinks.
I take it that Facelift Mickey and Minnie don't actually debut until the 25th events start?
I see that the Studios Christmas appearences are by the 'old' pair.

I believe that's the case.

Here's a neat little video showing the Big Cheese through the ages.

1955, the year of nightmares!
Told you it was no joke! ;D
I quite like the '70s ones though. Maybe that's just because it'd be the same ones when I first went.
Everyones favourite Octagenarian Mouse has been on a little global trip for his 88th birthday (Nov. 18).

And yup, that's his 'new face'.
Hard to explain but the new ones look a little more expressive not so obviously mask like but if I'm stood face to face with either I'll be in happy place 😃
