Has anyone got any details on what was said at the recent shareholders meeting?
I know that extensive refurbs were announced for Hotel New York, Disneyland Hotel and Phantom Manor - any details of these?
Any other significant announcements?
Annual Pass changes?
Opening up Salon Mickey in the afternoons?
Tram Tour update?
Not much new to report here:
- The geysers will be working again as part of the Big Thunder Mountain refurb after having been non-functional for the past 20 years.
- Space Mountain will have new theming inside and the new trains will be more comfortable. Safety improvements will also be made.
- It's a Small World will have new dolls installed. A several week-long renovation is planned.
- They are looking to improve the braking system on Peter Pan to avoid reduce the time required for maintenance.
- Free wifi will launch in 2017. First in the Studios and then later at Disneyland Park.
- New evacuation system on Big Thunder Moutain will reduce downtime from 1 hour to 20 minutes.
- Moteurs...may be updated to include references to Cars 3
- Studio Tram Tour renovation has been cancelled. They are researching different options for what to do with the ride.
- Complete renovation of Pirates of the Caribbean
- Star Tours will have a new shop and meet & greet area when it opens.
- Phantom Manor will have a complete renovation after the 25th anniversary
- A new parade for the Studios is being considered. No schedule for what or when it will launch.
- They are launching a program to improve the food quality. All burgers will be made from Angus beef.
- Casey's Corner will offer hotdogs made with their pork or beef sausages. They will also launch a "Hotdog of the month" themed to different occasions.
- Buffets will have more interaction with Castmembers. Carving stations etc. will be added.
- More meet and greet locations will be added
- More Marvel characters will be present in the Studios (Presuming this will be a Captain America meet and greet)
- More seasonal shows for the Castle Stage
- Updated Disney Dreams for the 25th anniversary
- Hotel rehabs will no longer take place in stages after complaints at Newport Bay about noise. Hotels will be closed entirely for the duration of renovations.
- Hotel New York is the next hotel to be renovated and will be closed for 15 months. After that, a renovation at Disneyland Hotel will take place.
- 300 new bins have been added to the park with ash trays and enlarged no-smoking signs. Cast Members will be instructed to direct guests to designated smoking areas.
- In October, customer satisfaction buttons will be added to toilets at the parks. These will be linked directly to head office.If a customer indicated dissatisfaction with the cleanliness, a cleaning crew will be dispatched immediately.
- A new water filtering system has been installed to prevent pools from turning green. Presuming this means fountains in the park.

Thanks for the detailed update. All great stuff, a little disappointed that no changes to the tram tour as yet but hopeful it is because they have something else in the works and may need to move this attraction.
Cars 3? I would prefer the rumour of Shield v hydra...
There are some good items on there, some that are long over due. And some that are nice additions - such as the 'Hot Dog of the Month' (so long as it doesn't cost the Earth for the privalage of having a 'Pumpkin Spice sausage' at Halloween. ;) )
The complete closure of the hotels for rennos comes as a surprise. Surely that'll hit them in the bottom line?
And now for the cyniscism. Whilst I welcome 99% of these measures (I'm on the fence about Cars 3), there should be so much more there. At the very least, some sort of C or D-ticket to tide us over until a new E-ticket arrives.

Have to say, the list of discussed items is a LOT longer than I would have expected. That being so, it's also a surprise that a list that long doesn't include rumoured AP changes.
I would take that as a sign that it won't therefore happen soon. However, mama tought me to never assume...!
