Title: Spooky encounters!
Post by: tigger1974 on October 07, 2015, 10:58:59 PM
Not really sure where to put this topic.... but here goes.

When I visited DLP in October '13 I had a very strange experience whilst riding Pirates of the Caribbean.  Me and my mother were sitting in the second row from the back of the boat with no one in the back row, as we approached the first incline for some reason I can't explain I suddenly had the urge to look behind me and I saw what I can only describe as a black figure pass from one side of the boat to the other  :o It had no distinguishable features but was human size! It disappeared into the wall as I watched it.
This has never happened to me before or since but I would like to know if anyone else has had any spooky experiences in the parks?
I swear this really happened.

HAHAHA! Interesting!

And no wonder - in Disneyland magic is everywhere and everything is real. So - no wonder!

Why did you keep this secret for a whole year, ah?
I never experienced this. Will turn back and see in December.

Honestly it wasn't a funny experience!  Although I have to admit I didn't freak out.  I told my mother but, as she had not been looking back, she saw nothing.
Who knows what occurs in the dark????
Maybe spirits and I have a connection - this is not my only supernatural encounter (although it is the only one to happen at DLP)

It could be a cast member, you know, fixing something. If has to be very dark there, they maybe wear dark clothes, when going inside for doing some work. I don't know.

I understand your thinking and could possibly agree except that the figure seemed to be actually in the back row of the boat and appeared to float from one side to the other.

BTW Mileto really hope you have a fabulous time when you go for your Christmas trip.

As if I'm not scarred enough by my mothers 'oh it's exactly like small world' comment when I was 5, I now have to deal with this 4 days before I arrive with a POTC obsessed friend. :o

Sorry rebecca20 - if it's any consolation to you I have experienced this once and have ridden PotC numerous times.
Hope you have a really fabulous time and here's a tip - keep your eyes on the scenes and don't look behind you!  Seriously enjoy your holiday.

Apparently the DLR one is haunted, as they used to use real human bones for the in-ride decor. But I hope nothing like this happens to me because I've recently read some terrifying stories about the American Disneyland and something like that may tip me over the edge D:
