So I'm posting my trip report, but every time I try to embed a picture, it comes up with the broken image icon. They're uploaded to Flickr, all set to public, and I use the *img /img* icon to embed them. Anyone help?
it looks like you're including full "web-page" embed codes, rather than just the image links. :)

Now, how you'd get that link out of Flickr... I'm not entirely sure. I don't use the site.
From what I can see, you click the "share" icon and then copy the BBCode link from the list for your pictures. According to Flickr's help there should be a BBCode link available, those are meant for forums like this. ;)

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I am trying to add photos to my posts, I've read the instructions on here for how to do it and I can't seem to get any satisfaction!
Yesterday I added a photo as an attachment which only shows (to me - other users can apparently see it) when I log in and today I tried to add another this time via a photobucket link and got a little box with a cross but no picture!
Are you unable to view photos you upload yourself? Because I can't even see them when I don't sign in. I have lots of lovely photos that I could put on here but am losing heart :'(
Any advice would be appreciated although I have to advise I don't have accounts on any well known photo sharing sites(I have only just started on photobucket).

The easiest way is to first upload your photos to www.photobucket.com or another photo sharing website.
Once your photo is uploaded it automatically generates the different types of codes

Click on the Direct Code section to copy this code

Shirley, see my above post. Once you upload your photo to www.photobucket.com, it will automatically generate the Direct code for you. You just copy this code and follow my instructions
