Title: This is very silly but ...
Post by: tubbsy on June 07, 2013, 10:28:56 AM
I have NEVER been so happy to see a deduction from my bank account! The holiday is paid for!  :D/  :D/  :D/
 :-" Tell ev'rybody I'm on my way ....  :-"

Oh and its less than two months to go! Best get those restaurants booked!  ....  :D/
Two trips to Inventions, Walts, Newport Bay (the night we spend a day in Paris) and Cafe Mickey .... One restaurant to decide upon ....
My poor family have got to put up with me being a teeny bit excited ......

Same here! We are in saving mode now for our next trip with it being over a new year plus it will be my eldest's birthday whilst there so she has the choice of restaurant she wants to go to ( she will be 12! i'm dreading to think of the restaurant haha)

Enjoy yourself  :D

No I agree, I paid my balance on Friday (not going until September but booked through a travel agent and had to pay it really early for some reason?!) anyway we'd saved really hard and It was really satisfying to pay it all off  :D
now just to save for spending money and we'll be ready to go

My friend  had that issue. We booked through DLP itself November 1st and had until end of March to pay - we went to DLP last week staying in the Sequoia. She booked through a travel agent the day after us but had to pay her holiday by the end of January! She then didn't get her tickets until a week before we travelled. We got ours the same day because they email them to you.

Must say, I prefer booking through DLP. But I was on tenterhooks until the money left the account at midnight last night!

Just remembered the last restauarant! Steakhouse in the village! :D

We have booked though an Agents once but the rest of the time direct as I prefere to do it all myself plus it saves the £80 agent fee. We save all year long, started saving for 2014 the day we got back this year   :D

So much for 'oh we wont go back for a few years' Think its an adiction!!

It is an addiction! But there are worse ones!

We couldnt go very often as my husbands job took him away a lot for long periods of time, but now hes in a more ... 9-5 job (Well, 8:30-5:30 but you know what I mean ;) ) We might go a bit more often. BUT we wont be staying the the Newport Bay or upwards-It'll be Cheyenne-Which does the same job, just further to walk and no pool

We loved Cheyenne, our daughter two years on still keeps demanding we go back to the cow boy hotel so she can sleep in the up bed! Strange what they remember most. . I also rate the buffet there better than any other, I prefered it to Inventions too. Much better range for fussy eaters and vegi's.

I like to do a different hotel each time, Only Disneyland Hotel and Newport Bay to go.

We havent done the Cheyenne or the Disneyland Hotel-Unless we win the lottery, we may never stop in the Pink palace, but we are lucky to be able to stay in any hotel :)

Your love Cheyene, I would love to go back there but the pink palace is calling louder each year.  I've taken on a 2nd job plus over time to save enough money but I'm sure it will be worth it.  Just not sure I can wait 18 months between visits

Eighteen months? Its been three years for us! But that was due to my DH working away so much. He is now home so much more, so maybe we can go sooner :)

I know three years is WAY too long!
But my husband was serving in the army up until January and we could never plan any holidays-Back in 2002 we got three months notice to move to Brunei! It was an amazing life but it is great to think we are now living in ( a lot) easier reach of the magic :)

We've been wathcing DLRPmagic ride and show films on youtube and our old videos from previous trips :)
Its getting closer! WOOHOO! :D

How funny we're there at the same time  :D  we're so excited to be taking our little boy for the first time - he's a big disney nut like his mummy :-)
We're in a Montana room - I wanted GF but after such bad reviews I've not bothered upgrading x

I did look at upgrading to a GF room but we have premier meal vouchers and we would lose them! (???) We really want to spil ourselves this hols so we didnt bother.
Talking of which, restaurants booked this evening and money for ferry left my account today :)

Hey Disney mama :) were also in a Montana room we looked into the golden forest also but I'm not sure it'd be worth the extra? To be honest every hotel we've stayed in we have had a great time wether its been a standard at the Santa fe or a terraced room at the Disneyland hotel! I think there's many people who probably can't afford to go so I count my lucky stars we can go as often as we do!
Hope your little boy loves it! I'm sure he will :D I mean what kid don't love Disneyland?! Especially if he's like you lol

P.s I am not sure how u do the quote thing??!

So excited for you all Tubbsy, sounds like this trip is very overdue for your family. We are hoping to book on Monday for next year  [-o< .

Cant wait to read your trip report. Premium meal vouchers are so worth there weight in gold. We would never look back now. Planning Buffallo Bills, Princess meal and 2 x Inventions next time   :D/

Yay! Littlebitofpixiedust :D
Thank you julesk :) We are all excited. Its probably the last year our 18 year old comes with us as she starts uni in September (Yeah, right! "Steph we are going to Disney and of course, now you are at uni, we're guessing  you dont want to come with us." LIke thats going to happen!)

We had great fun choosing the restaurants. My husband doesnt like Buffalo Bills food :( But we have done it twice, so its OK.
We are doing Inventions twice, Cafe Mickey, Walts, The Steakhouse in the village and (A first time for us) The Blue Lagoon :)

Favourite hotel ... Urm ... Well, we were completely and utterly spoilt last time we stayed in NPB, so it wins at the moment..... But any hotel in the magic is fine by me! :)
Want to see how spoilt we were? This is our trip report from three years ago!

Why would you loose the Premium vouchers by upgrading to Golden Forest Club?
We are staying in the Golden Forest Club with Full Board Premium.

I understand why you would loose them now,  I contacted disney about upgrading to a room with a lake view.  It's because the have to re cost from scratch as the offer used when booked is no longer available.  The offer now is free half board and you can only have the half board to what your hotel is, ie Sequoia is plus and Disneyland hotel is Premium.   So I would loose my premium or pay a lot more to have it.   I couldn't even upgrade to a lake view, booo.

So sorry but just had to post, so excited - Just booked Halloween 2014 in Disneyland Hotel. Had to read the booking details 3 times before I could confirm. Just need to decide on over night stop before and transport now.   :D/  But diffently not going via La Harve again.  :D  :D  :D

WOOHOO!
Which way are you going this time? Back to Dover? Steph is already worrying about the ferry crossing (Note to self-buy travel sickness tablets...)
Staying in THE hotel! More WOOHOOO! Lucky thing :)

I never thought it would happen, but finally the Pink palace is calling    Thinking the Euro Tunnel this time, wasent keen last time we did it but its quick and makes a change from ferrys and cant be worse than last ferry. Shame Poole crossing is 4hrs as that crossing was ok. Just harder with daughter getting bored so quickly.

Poor Steph, fingers crossed your next crossing is 100% better. I honestly think it was that boat, it was so small and cramped. Ok so it was cheap but like you, we wont ever do that one again even if it is more convenient.  Just means more overtime to pay the extra, think I will fit right in by Halloween 2014. Zombie Mum!  :)

Travel sickness tablets bought-Going with Brittany ferries this time-I agree that boat was too small!

Lol! Arent Mums zombies anyway? Doing all we do in a day???
Title: Re: This is very silly but ...
Post by: julesk on July 02, 2013, 09:44:42 AM
Brittany Ferrys are our first choice too. Would like to find a night crossing to Poole for the return and do Tunnel on the way over. Premier Inn is cheap there in the week so thats a bonus. Cant book our crossing till October, so plenty of time to keep changing my mind!

Very true, think all Mums feel like a zombie daily, plus I am sure I still have baby brain 5 years on
