The photo below is a bit special to me.....
Not a photo of a ride, or character, but for me, this sums up what Disney is all about.
My husband, daughter and myself have been to Disney two times. Not been since 2002. We took a trip in August with the youngest member of the family. This is my four year old. He has special needs and can become overwhelmed by new experiences so this holiday could have been a complete disaster, but me being completely Disney mad, took the chance and spent three long months talking to him, shoiwng him old photos from previous trips.
I think it all came to fruition in Mickeys diner at dinner, having only just arrived in DLRP half a hour earlier. We sat down at our table and THE MAN HIMSELF, MCKEY walked around the corner.

First one I've had chance to do anything with properly from my holiday last week. This was from the Princess Parade on Wednesday afternoon, and she was definitely the most beautiful Belle all week (seemed we had a different Belle everyday!)

no it isnt, we got it from http://www.disneydirect.com (http://www.disneydirect.com) it was so cheap too!! they dont do them anymore though. i would love to get him another one
so many people were asking where it came from when we were there i should have put a sign round his neck!! :lol:
people wanted their piccy taken with him too, it was so strange to have random people run up to him and pick him up without the tinyest hesitation or, do you mind if we have a picture! i didnt mind though, it was really nice, and he LOVED the attention!

yeah it would have been great!! we woke up quite late the day it snowed and when lisa pulled back the curtians we were so shocked!! you should have seen peoples faces though!! it was like christmas all over again!! it was perfect!! its just a shame it didnt last long though. although i think it was have affected the rides a bit if it had snowed a lot (but i dont really know im just guessing)

Well I've got quite a few favourites for all different reasons, but I've based these five on my Halloween 2007 trip as my recent favourites. Well the first one I never thought I would ever get, which was a great suprise for me meeting Raptor and some of the gang.

The next one is the Toon Studio Statue, with the blue sky backdrop against the blue of the statue, it just seems to tell a story. It just gives me the sense that the sky is not the limit.

The next three are night shots. The first one is Space Mountain M2, I find a must to photograph at night, the colouration is spectacular to capture.

The next set the scene for Halloween right down to a tee. What more could you ask for, coldness, mist, errie lighting on Skull Rock with a haunting image of the pirate ship in the background. Say no more.

Finally the outline of the park entrance just as evening sets in. It tells you that the magic may be coming to an end for the day, but when youn turn around and look at where you have just left, you realise that the magic will continue on for others into the evening and early night. Or on this occasion into the early hours of the morning, which as I experienced is a spectacular sight.

WOW pictures look great, my kids are desperate to see Daisy so we will be looking for her and were delighted to see your picture with Stitch in TOT Costume looks amazing.
we saw her alot in the studios on wednesday (12th mar) while we were there she must have come out with donald and pichou (french name for him cant remember it in english for the life of me) about 4 or 5 times at least.

Both of these were taken on my phone, so the quality isn't fantastic. Not too bad considering though. The originals are 3.2 megapixels, but PhotoBucket's resized them.

They're from a mini parade called "Alpha Bet You Are". It started at the beginning of the 15th anniversary celebrations, but was cut at the end of summer 07 :wink:

Yeah, this was a shame, I was at DLRP when it was still currently on [May 2007], but I did not see it once, it must have been cancelled for some reason, and when I eventually got back there at the Halloween time, expecting to see it at last, I couldn't as The Butlin Boy mentioned, it had already been cancelled by the end of the Summer 2007. It was the only parade I never got to see, and never will now, well not live anyway. :x
In the end I decided to watch it on DLRP Magic, just to see what it would of been like. :)
I didn't know anything about it until I came back! o.0
i saw it one morning by accident when i went in june last year. the music started and here comes the word disneyland dancing up the road!
I love all the Mainstreet shops, but this is definitely my favourite! The colors and decorations are amazing and it always smells of cookies and candy. Definitely my fav photo.

Hmm I love these two.
This was taken November 2006 (before 15th Anniversary decorations). We were heading out of Discoveryland, the sun came out and hit the castle just right, it was magical!!

We hadn't arrived in the resort for five minutes, but to be fair we had started our journey to the Park at 5am (GMT), and Arrived at 9pm (GMT+1) so my girlfriend was starting to get hungry and I don't blame her I was... Entering the Village from Sequiola, the sight of Cafe Mickey made it an instant stop off for something to sort the rumbly in her tumbally. I like this one as it looks as though through the reflection in the glass that the logo is actually in some sections complete.

It sure refers to Animal Kingdom. I also noticed it has a dragon in the logo, which refers to the old plans of Beastly Kingdomme, so it's based on an older logo of Animal Kingdom, so either the picture shows an item which has been around for a while, or the Imagineers have just used the old logo.

Oh my Gosh- Dark_prince your photos are just amazing!! I am in love with the lilo and stitch photos and to be honest all the rest, especially the picture of Ariel and Eric from the parade with the Castle in the background, it's so magical!

We were there because my friend had won the trip on a radioshow, the item we had to coöperate on was overcoming your worst fears. So we had to ride the Tower of Terror, my friend's the one with the microphone under her nose, I'm on the left (looking really scared xD). It was really cool though, we had the whole ride to ourselves and got to ride it several times on a row, without even getting out in between, awsome!!!

Yes, its like a patchwork quilt, little pieces taken from other photos to fill in the gaps and removed the leaves from the overhanging tree etc, I never took the photos with this in mind at the time tho.

This was taken on the Dumbo ride. The park was especially empty that day - we were the first ones in, and I have photos of my family walking up Mainstreet completely alone - and as such, character interaction was great!
We got to ride Dumbo with Mickey and Minnie behind, and Goofy in front - he was wonderful, constantly posing for photos for us! I just love this photo because it was always a dream of mine when I was younger to ride with a character, so this is photographic evidence of my dream coming true, haha!

Yes.. it was the only time we've watched it from the top of the station - we had a FAB view! :D Unfortunately though, it takes the interaction aspect of the parade away so we probably won't do it again :(
I've also got a waterfall pic the same as the one in the previous post! It was totally frozen in January... i couldn't believe my eyes.. that the whole waterfall had frozen! :shock: I've never seen anything like it, nor experience such cold weather! :shock: :lol:

Yep, just over 1800... Well, we did spend a couple of days before in a hotel nearby, and went to the Sealife aquarium in Val d'Europe, so there are some pictures from that as well... And my husband took some too. I'm terrible when it comes to pictures, but everything's just so beautiful there!

Thanks for the complements. No, the photos weren't taken on film. I actually took them on a really old Canon IXUS 800 IS compact camera, and then I edited them on my iPhone using Camera+. I was just messing around with the app really, to see what it could do :-)

You need to use a tripod to get clear night shots or stand the camera on something steady
its always such a whirlwind experience with the kids tho i dont think id have time to mess with a tripod! but hey we might give it a try this year!
I took this one by sitting the camera on the roof of my car and just did the self timer option, I think it took about 20 seconds for the shutter to capture the image and if you look at the bottom left where the lamp is shining up you can see what looks a little like Tink leaving a trail, in actual fact it was a moth but the camera captured it's jittering flight :)

Took this picture back in September when we went for the Shareholder event for Toy Story Playland (was a special surprise for the children). When I Went Toy Story Playland Was Just Being Constructed ... I FELT LIKE A YOUNG KID ! When I Saw The Construction Fence !

Just a few photos of our latest trip. I took hundreds of photos, mostly of my little sis since she's so photogenic and quite literally cannot walk passed a photolocation without posing like a maniac (I blame cosplay, it's a bad influence on her).
So, first up is one of her favorites, since she had gotten kicked out of the way by at least 2 pushy parents in her efforts to get a photo (I mean really people? I understand it's hard to tell a small child they have to wait, but telling a bi-polar teenager that kids have to come first is just as difficult.). Making the most of TSPL:

Next was just silly... should really send this to the development team to make a point that people really do appreciate the orginal animation details in the parks just as much as the new film franchises. I saw at least 3 people attempt to recreate the photo after she did it:

The happiest moment of the week... her expression here is what happens when a performer with claws decides to tickle someone while a photo is being taken. Also the most expensive moment... right after this I was dragged at full pelt to Discoveryland to be instructed to buy stitch ears, stitch slippers, stitch gun, stitch plush toy, stitch mug... my wallet cries just looking at this photo:

And finally my fave photo I took over that week... at the New York City bar, when some of the daily hyper had worn off and Mini-chan was experiencing the frown-side of her disorder, there was still a little bit of Disney Magic:

This is a photograph I took over the summer of 2010, on my first trip back to DLRP in a long time. It's only taken on my iPhone 4, but it's not left as my wallpaper since (on my iPhone, iPad, Macbook) and it genuinely makes me smile whenever I see it.. Sad, yes! It's awesome when you can do something like that for kids that need that bit of extra care, always chokes me up. Our daughter is now 14 and she's been through a fair bit medically, kidney biopsy's, test after test usually involving lots of needles but not once has she whinged or moaned, wifey and me, we sit there blubbering whenever she's laid there on some hospital bed, half in and out of reality because of the anaesthetic, rubbing her hands and talking to her. When I booked this latest trip (10th-13th April) The american guy on the phone asked me if it was a special occasion - I replied they all are, then he got me talking about my daughter her name is Samantha btw, I ended up so choked I couldn't finish the booking, wifey had to take over - The guy taking the booking kept asking how I was! :oops:
Anyway, my point is she looks like she had a wonderful time and your wallet will recover (in time) ;)

Well tbh I was planning on using a shot I took with our Nikon D40 but ended up using the one taken with my pocket camera (Panasonic TZ5)... :oops:
I think the shot in particular isn't that special, but if you wanna do something like this it comes down on the photo editing / photoshopping. I suppose the difference between the black and white and the coloured trees make them look even more 'autumnly'. Also, the way the picture is cut out makes a big difference - if I remember correctly the unedited version of the photo has a lot more lake and sky which really didn't add anything to the pic and made the hotel and trees come out less.
I LOVE DLP in the autumn :)

I would definitely recommend it, it's a great camera and I'm very satisfied with it. But it's pretty 'old', think I got it in 2008. I think they're on TZ8 now?

As a matter of fact it was quite a special photo to shoot as it was on a very busy July evening right after the fireworks, so I had no hopes of getting a "clear shot", but in fact even the CMs standing in front of the castle moved aside in order to give me this "clear shot". A great experience and I am very satisfied with the result! :)
I can't get enough of your pictures Nicolai, they're simply magical. Cannot say which I love most!! Hope you go back to DLP soon to bring back more pics!! ;)

This may not be a very common photographic subject, but I just love these sign posts! Disneyland Paris is timeless, but this design just screams 1992. I'm also pleased with the bright colors against the vivid sky.

I was going through some old boxes earlier and found some photographs from my first ever trip to DLP! I think it was in 1996 so they would either have been taken with a film camera or a disposable camera.
This one is me, my mum and my brother on the wagon outside the Cheyenne! I didn't remember taking/having this and thought that the first time I'd ever seen the wagon was when we took photos with it on our trip in June - so it's quite nice having the old one and the new one now!

I have a very vague memory from that shark, I think he's long gone...
And that show was indeed in Frontierland, that's the old Chaparral theatre (I don't even know if it was always called like that!) , before they build the roof as it is now!!
I lost all my old pictures a few years ago, so I only have pictures from our 2009, 2010 and 2011 trips on here. And there may be a few left from when I was kid but idk.

I think you are right about the shark, I don't remember having seen him for a long time. I can't remember if he was on the outskirts of Disney Village or if he was nearer Newport Bay?
Ahh! It must have been the Pocahontas show, if there was one?! It's so much fun to see old pictures and see how DLP has changed (or not changed as sometimes is the case). I love seeing old signs etc around the place, and the photos of the Cheyenne that I found made me laugh because I don't think it has changed one bit :P
and Artoises, I love those photos! Disneyland Hotel is the most magical hotel ever :D

Whilst I also have a lot of love for these photos. The first is of my boyfriend when he visited Disneyland Paris when he was younger with his family, then we recreated the same photo on our last visit which was taken around ten years later. Sorry the first isn't of great quality, but that's what we had to deal with once upon a time.

I took this on my iPhone when me and my girls were here April 2014 x
I took this one of the castle lit up just before Dreams started - I love the way the colour of the sky and the colour of the castle contrast each other.
Incidentally how do you insert a picture in the actual narrative of posts? I can do attachments but that's it.

You'll need to host the picture somewhere Andybear, you could add it as a private picture on facebook and then copy the image-URL, or you could use a dedicated image hosting service like imgur.com or photobucket.com
Then you can use IMG tags to insert the picture in the text.

You copied a share link I think, not 100% sure, but it's not a direct link to the image. :)
Perhaps go to the photo on facebook, right-click on the picture, and click "Copy Image URL", when you copy it between IMG tags it should end in .jpg or .png or something similar. That should work, but perhaps someone else can help you out here, I wouldn't know exactly how it works on Facebook.

I suspect it has to do with the forum transfer that happen a while back.
The problem started after that.
