Hi Swipes,
Try putting in a search for 'Rapunzel Tiaras' .
Take a look on YouTube too, there is an interesting one showing a Tiara made for 'Tangled Cosplay' -  entitled   'Crown of the Lost Princess'.

It might be a bit of a long way around but if you are looking for it for cosplay, head over to cosplayisland.co.uk and post a request in commission corner on the marketplace forum.
There are plenty of us on there who make Disney costumes and props so someone is sure to help you out.
Just out of curiosity, when are you planning to wear the costume?

if i cant buy one of the proper ones  i would rather make one myself because i want it to be as movie accurate as possible (i am going as far as to hand paint the fabric so the pattern is exactly right) so commissions are absolutely out of the question i don't want to risk it not being exactly what i want, commissions for these crowns are usually pretty damn expensive and i will be extremely upset if i commission one and its not what i was looking for when i get it....it might seem like i am being really really picky but i cant get my hands on a long enough wig so i am insistent that the rest of the costume be perfect, so either buying an official one or making it myself (that way if its not right i have no one to blame but myself) is my only option....

as for your question i plan to wear it at the mcm expo in May, if not then definitely in October

*edit* ps. i also plan to take even the official version of the crown apart and switch all the gems out for swarvoski crystals if i get one... thats just how far i am going with this cosplay...

Fair enough. Then if you are going to make it yourself you might still find the cosplayisland forums useful. There are loads of tutorials and guide out there.
I only suggested it because more often than not the official ones aren't actually accurate at all. Believe me, you aren't the only one who is a stickler for accuracy.

I asked when because I am running the official Disney Cosplay group meet and photoshoot at May Expo.

I was once a Rapunzel when I'm in high school and got the chance to wear a fancy crown that looks like that.

Hi Swipes , the crown you have found is very similar in shape to the one you have been looking for and in my opinion would be just fine to use especially as you will need one very soon as it is now May. Do you think it is worth trying to embellish it with a few pearls ? Maybe to fall from the three teardrops at the top , or do you think that would be 'bling overload ' !

i am trying to keeep it as close to movie accurate as possible so i may try adding some pearls at some point, as you have said it is now may and my spare money is now going on the costume itself hopeing its at least wearable by the time the convention rolls around, even if its not fully painted up by then so i have pretty much decided i am going to leave the crown as it is.... (for now at least)
