My husband is a lay-preacher and likes nothing better than teaching the Sunday School children using stories from Disney. Now this is his great excuse for buying Disney toys/characters! He has a Wall-E toy, Jack Skellington and his latest purchases.....Woody and Buzz!! Just yesterday we went to our City's newly opened Disney Store (at last) in Swansea and for Mark it was like Christmas come early. In one church he was known as Mr Disney and even had a write up in the local paper.
By the way, he is 50 in November.
So what are your excuses? Do we really need an excuse? :)
Hmmm..no excuse needed, it's just a way of life :D
Nope I don't need an excuse, I just buy because I love it, that's my reason hehe! Your Husband sounds like a cool lay-preacher if he used Disney! hehe
No excuse here, in fact I openly asked friends at a birthday party today if they want me to pick anything up as I'll be hitting the shops anyway :D
No excuse here :D though now my daughters been born my husband uses her as an excuse. Its great except it now means the Squirt plushie he won at a Disney presentation at work is hers and not mine *pout*. Most people I know and worked with just knew that I loved Disney and so used to buy me Disney based presents which is the best thing ever! Plus my parents give me money for my birthday to spend at DLP :D (mainly for pins xD)
your on holiday, you need to bring something back from your holiday related to where you have been! ;-)
I do not need an excuse, but it's in my genes to be a collector. I guess that is a good excuse for my always growing collection of Pins and WDCC figurines :P
No excuses needed here! Everyone who knows me get me disney vouchers or pressies!
For my 21st I got brought big disney snowglobes and our neighbours went to disneyland about a month before my birthday and got a mickey glass engraved saying "happy 21st birthday sam" :D
This year all my family have given me my birthday money early so I can get my present from disneyland! :D/
Since first posting, Mark has now added Jessie to his collection and is now ready for the Sunday School this weekend!!
Lol welshfans.. thats brilliant ! i dont think we need an excuese.. I do agree with bigrossco, i love bringing something back from disney as a memory of my trip :D
I think im going to be getting alot more disney stuff soon, as its my 18th in a week today, and my friends all know how much i love it, I feel like all my presents are going to be disney based !
Not a problem with me!! ;)

1)Last year we took our new curate and husband to DLRP and she keeps threatening to use one ride photo's in the sermon
2) Loving the name, We live in a village called Castle Gresley however due to the amount of Disney merchandise around the house (just checked and the only room lacking is the downstairs toilet, now there's an excuse for a soap dispenser) my neice and nephew tell people we live in Castle Disney.
3) Im 43 in November and my mum wonders when I'll grow up. Too late now I think.
4)Well I have an excuse for a soap dispenser for the downstairs toilet but generally dont need an excuse.
Simple reply... It's Disney, simply and purely Disney. No excuses needed.. ;) :D
I'm a 33 year old kid, reason enough !
I always save enough of my own money to buy stuff, That's my reason! :P
Excuses...Hmmmm.
First trip we bought small gifts for ourselves and family.
Next few we bought sets of glasses which had the four lands on them. And fridge magnets. :)
Then we discovered the wonderful world of Pin trading. :D/
Now, as well as pins we have to buy plushies. Last trip in February we came back with Rex and Louie.
So I guess our excuses are that we have to complete our pin collections asnd you always have room for more plushies

Christmas is still a good excuse. The only time of the year when anyone anywhere is in need of kitchy ornamentation.
Frankly, the only thing I've bought all year is a white bathrobe with an acrylic bling Mickey on it, and that was only because I was forced to find a gift for my mother. I'm forever on the lookout for something nice, something that would somehow enhance my home or wardrobe, but they haven't been selling it. I still have hopes they will stock the Mickey's Coffee products again one of these days...
You can still buy decent gifts for very small children, that's true. But who's going to buy a snow globe of the castle or a colander with Mickey-shaped holes for 9,000 times the price of an IKEA one? What grown person is going to put a "New Generation Festival" decorative plate on their mantelpiece? The whole thing is lost on me.
My excuse is...
...in the january sales, some of it is just far too good and cute to pass off :D I either buy some for myself or future christmas/birthday presents for other people.
Besides that, I hardly ever buy the full priced merchandise. As an ex-cast member I seriously miss my discount...and for those that know it, I miss Cast Connection at WDW ;)
even when I went to Disneyland Paris the only thing I bought was something that was reduced(Minnie dressed as Leia)
I don't really have an excuse, I just love it!!
But if I did have to have an excuse, I'd say that it's the one time of year I can have a real spending spree, and I save for it all year! I have a collection of Disney hoodies from over the years, that and Tiggers! (I HAVE to buy a little Tigger every yeah for my collection!)
:D
i dont need a reason i need a reason not to buy!
